Is there not still slop between hole in the arm and the ball joint? I did something similar but made a nylon bushing to go between the hole in the arm and the ball joint which eliminates all play. It helps to have a lathe.
I've just replaced the linkage on my car and now the sweep on the driver wiper is a bit too long, my wiper hits the a piller and the lower seal. The linkage is straight so I think the aftermarket part is a bit long and I don't think the sweep can be adjusted, can it?
hi, i got same problem, motor works fine, wiper arm ( whitch moves it all around) works fine, put this joint drives me crazy, it jumps off and windshield wipers stop working cuz they get disconected from motor, i will follow you guide ant try to fix it
I dont know why did you cut the video at the end, i think it tooks you along time to find the correct position that connect the metal piece with the motor..before you remove that piece you should have marked it in relation to the motor..What surprised me is the stupid dedign of the linkage and the motor connection
In modern cars you just close the hood and press the 'one time' option on the switch, it will return to home position every time automatically. I also thought it's a ridiculous design, in Skoda it came lose after 4 years (!) already, and it's very dangerous too if your wipers stop working on the highway in the rain, the people that designed those things should be put in jail... 😅
I just replaced my wiper transmission and it's not working so good. I place them on the bottom of the windshield and then they go up and then stop in the middle of the windshield. when I push the button again they go down then up and then back to the middle. what could I have done wrong. please help!!!
From my research, I have found that from some Toyota cars, you cant replace the bushing for the wiper linkage joint. You have to replace the entire linkage system. The joint is embedded in the arm and you cant find the joint by itself.
hey mate! are you by any chance afraid that someone might hear u speaks or speaking alone? haha looks like you're doing this video while playing Hide and Seek!,.

Hi, I noticed that the driver's side wiper does not fully swipes the windshield, it leaves a gap on the left side. How do I fix that?
Well, You need to replace whole wiper system.
Dragos Lublinschi loosen the bolt and just move the blade up a little than tighten the bolt to keep it in place. it should wipe more of the window
Very Good

hi
Thanks !
it's just tinkering
Thanks Sir ! :-)
This is not a proper fix, should of replaced the bushing. I would do it this way only if all other options are not possible.
