Two years on....
How is the ebayspecial doing from your Best PCP Compressor Review video?
Bought this almost purely based on this review and my god is it worth the hype. Been able to hit 12 oz cans reliably at 75 yards with it. I tend to use a scope, but on the right days when the air is still it's immediately obvious just how consistent this rifle really is. I can reliably put shots into the same hole at 50 yards even with a bit of wind. This rifle looks GORGEOUS, feels great in the hand, and in the 26 foot-pound variant I've got here in the USA, it hits like a freight train. It's whisper quiet, so quiet that many have been surprised to see just how hard this thing can hit because the noise is so heavily suppressed that you strain to hear it fire from about 20 yards. I've seen some pellets fired from this rifle go clean through 1/2 inch thick wooden planks and still hit a soda can so hard that it nearly severs the top and bottom of the can. The power and accuracy if this thing have damn near ruined my interest in other replica airguns - Diana would do well to launch a line of PCP replicas - an M1 Garand or Lee Enfield in this style would be incredible.
I'd like to see more of this type of PCP rifles, it's a fantastic idea.
It is nice to see a manufacturer actually take into consideration the restrictive UK market and produce a firearm that has great function and authentic aesthetics.
Perhaps it might seem odd to the majority of UA-cam users, but I would like to take the opportunity to thank you, Sir.
Your videos provide a great help to me concerning my purchase decision.
Again, Thank you Sir!
Best wishes from Germany, Oooh No!
I have the .22. Here in the states I’m getting 31fpe using H&N 21gr slugs. I absolutely love this rifle! I love my WW2 history and this is a very nice replica. Of course it’s not a 100% replica, but I’m extremely happy about it. Diana needs to chamber one in .25. I’d love to see a whole line of WW2 replica guns in pcp. Garand, Arisaka, Mosin, Enfield, 1903 Springfield..
This is the best airgun I've ever seen and I'm over the half century mark, I love that little pressure gauge.
for the record, there is a mosin the Gletcher Mosin Nagant M1944 Steel .177 BB CO2 Air Rifle
, and lee enfield: Lee Enfield SMLE CO2 .177
@@letsgobrandon. subjective as anything, bmw are bad cars, but jeeps arent, its prefence and i dont care for yours
I would do anything for a full wood steel SVD dragonov like this ... anything !
Yess! Eventually!!
Diana made the version that everyone actually wanted... and is a PCP even better!
Best air rifle I've ever seen
This is my go to rifle now I have lots of guns and rifles but keep coming back to it
I thought it was just a gimmick kind of thing, but with that power and accuracy that's an actual useful gun for pest control and anything else people use airguns for :O
@Pete graham breaking the law???
@Pete graham Air guns are not illegal, neither are they a privilege granted by the government so there's nothing to "give up"
@Pete graham You think breathing air is a privilege lol? Granted by the government right? You must of loved the Nazi party. But anyway, airguns are NOT illegal, require no license and thus not a privilege.
@Pete graham And I know you're a troll, government one probably with ya fake as hell account
@Pete graham I think you speak for yourself. I like most enthusiasts attend a range.Grew up in a farming community so have legal access to farmland.
Bought this from Vector Air recently, based on your great reviews. Its so much fun. Guys at VA were beyond brilliant at advising me and supporting me to get the whole shooting package.
So pleased you've reviewed this rifle.
Been hoping you would for a long time.
Thank you for the great videos, keep up the great work.
Great to see a replica that has a practical use as well as looking great.
Fantastic review, as always. Thanks Andy 🖖
Iv got the under lever version and while it does lack a bit of authenticity, it's a fave of mine. Hits hard and exactly where you point it.
Open sights work properly and she cracks like a whip.
My bro has the same, he loves it.
@@ianmangham4570 it's a cracking rifle 👍
Your version has the "side adjustable" rear sights right? It is missing on the PCP version, which really sucks. Mine shoots a good deal to the left.
@@jimmibram hi mate. I got rid of mine a while ago, put it towards a TX200. But my k98 had sights that were adjustable in both directions as I remember that mine shot miles to the left as well, very strange 🤔 But I was able to correct it with the sight moved right over.
I don't know what you can do to fix that if the PCP version doesn't have them. Maybe check on the airgun forums and see if there's an aftermarket part you can use. Good luck 👍
Another perfect review. A rifle I've admired since childhood. Had the chance to fire the Lee Enfield 303 . As an air cadet. Maybe in the future I'll be the owner of a Mauser. Beautiful ornament for the wall , when not in use. Thank you Andy. Glad you're well and hope the same for family. From Richard Leeds West Yorkshire.
Andy, I always love the enthusiasm you put into your reviews as well as the research you do. A thank you from Sandusky, Ohio USA.
Hi Andy , great review today . i love this rifle . And as you say has a dual role ....... i think the price is great .... thank you Andy ...... cheers Simon from York
As it is a Stormrider in its nature it could be turned into regulated pneumatic (the original is unregulated) by installing a regulator (around 90 €). This will reduce amount of shots but it will give it some match degree, but it is still a hobby rifle (Freizeitgewehr).
The Sentinel X is absolutely amazing and has become my favorite even though I have a Titan and other more expensive scopes!!! OH I absolutely enjoyed the Mauser presentation.
Needed an AAR review on this gun! It’s my next
Nice, been waiting for this review for a while. And the Diana to make an apprance in this country all year!
If only more replicas were pcp and pellet pushing, the best of both worlds, nice to see something accurate and in a classic guise. I'm waiting for the 177 pcp AK47 now( fully auto would be nice!! )
no fully autos in the UK :(
Love it..i agree ,distress it with the trigger and bolt darkened.
Great review as usual!
I would like to see more airgun companies making replica like this.
Very nice indeed! I hope they do more PCP replicas. They have the best of both worlds (realism and usability).
Great idea, well reviewed Andy. One replica that would turn heads when in use.
Want to vector air a couple of weeks ago and Andy was there when I was collecting my bsa clx he took time out to have a chat top man
Great review as always Andy
Got mine back in April. Absolutely love it. I have shot pellets and slugs with great accuracy. The inexpensive Crosman 14.3gr HP have shot great. NSA 17.5gr slugs and H&N 21gr slugs shot amazing as well. Already have taken groundhog around the farm with my K98 and all three of those rounds. Just put high mounts on a scoped it. Going to try H&N rabbit magnum power rounds next. If you’re looking for a great entry level pcp for small game and love WW2 stuff, then this air gun is a no brainer!
Update on my comment. My K98 .22 absolutely loves the H&N rabbit magnum rounds and they hit with authority! Accuracy falls off after 30 yards, but 30 yards and in these rounds are the hardest hitting in my k98.
Are all the parts metal? The stock clamp and sling holders?
Very nice and its nice to see a reasonable price too
I need to buy one!
Keep up the great videos!!! 😃
Hi Andy nice to see a really useable replica air gun, have to take my (tin) hat off to those guys at Diana and at that price it’s going to be another one to add to my collection…
Its such a great looking PCP, I just had to put one in my Armory
Great gun and superb review as always 🤠👍
great Andy i love it.might very well be my first pcp
Makes Me as a German Glaad to See, That you Reviewed it so nice and giving so much Info
Greetings from Germany
Im very happy with the spring version, sure it will be around for longer..
Always love the history lesson along with the terrific review! Thanks again Professor Andy!
Yes, I want one!
That's suprisingly accurate for a modern day SPAdiana. I've got three of their barrels that I cannot achieve those results with. It could of course be me.
I like the look of this.
Nice style of presentation
Very nice rifle and surprisingly affordable.....if only it were a ww2 era Enfield no.4!
Just placed my order at cheshire Gun Rooms.
I've been undecided on what i wanted. I didn't want a pcp rifle that resembled a pool cue strapped to a divers tank. I was after something relatively accurate and stylish but not a fashion fad item. This looks fantastic, and with a small air tank, should be easier with a stirrup pump, but still have enough shots to last a session at the range.
I can't wait to get my hands on it. Thanks Andy, you've helped me make my mind up after weeks of looking around.
Cheshire Gun Rooms is local to me too! How have you got on with this rifle and using a pump?
@@Anaesthetist98
I found the rifle to be consistently accurate at 20yds, as that was my local range had. It feels solid, works well and looks great. As for the hand pump, it is do-able, but not ideal. I havent used it for a few months, and its still got the same air in that i left it with so no signs of leakage. Its great fun to use, and looks like the real deal.
@@RadioBass oh fantastic! What scope do you have on the rifle? Any ideas for a scope that's in fitting with the period of the rifle?
@@Anaesthetist98
I put a scope on, but not a retro era kind of thing. More to suite my eye sight basically. I am sure you can get one suited to the period looks though.
I'm picking up mine on the weekend can't wait
I’d love to see an SMLE pcp capable of shooting pellets rather than bb’s
Likewise
Saaame
The Air Venturi M1a/ M14 love child looks impressive. Waiting for that review..
Thanks for yet another great review. Same unbiased commentary. Seems very accurate, would have been interesting to see how good it was using the open sites. Thanks again. Regards price, I’ve seen replica AKs with a difference of around £80-90 depending on if you want faux wood or the real McCoy. 👍
nice rifle, cool review!
Another honest informative review, I’m hoping that you review the Benjamin Akela so we can see if it’s worth looking at 👍🏾
I looked for mauser reviews and the version with no bolt action was no good so im glad to see a bolt. I thought the mauser was made much earlier than 35
Awesome
Love it!!
I have one and I love it.
Cool air gun :)
Very nice fly driver
Thank you andy been waiting for this long time it's a beautiful air rifle it may not be a competition target air rifle but if you see the history of the real k98 k can you imaging what the shooting range would they say to you when they see the k98 air rifle at a distance more likely scare them thinking that it is a real rifle
Windage is probably on the front sight. Something people often miss on decent AK replicas too.
If manufacturers made ar tactical style PCP replica rifles, I'd buy quite a few.
An M16 would be awesome.
Sig sauer make a pcp ar15
@@RyleKittenhouse Don't they though. Ahh Sigy. Mine hates wad cutter.
@@phill9283 Yes I'll never sell mine its great!
@@phill9283 It's still available in England
nice one Andy :)
I know you have covered the Walther CP99 compact but would you consider doing a video on the regular CP99?
Laughed out load at that caving in the allies skulls in bit🤣🤣
A great rifle love to get my hands on that
Nice video sir❤
Lovely rifle and video
I wonder if them large magazines Would work in the CP2
Nice review and nice rifle, but my issue in the UK is not just with this rifle but air rifles in general. This product is £420 rrp but in USA being sold for $375 (£275 approx). So why so expensive in UK ?
Import charges, shipping and shipping taxes, not to mention the restrictive nature of our laws and needing to be restricted.
🤔 It's possible the result of the beginning Brexit? 😪 Kind regards from Germany 🍻
Fantastic review. Can you put up a link for the scope please?
I'm on the fence with this one. It doesn't seem to have the realism I like when buying a period gun like this. It kind of looks like a toy to me. I'd have to stain it a bit darker and then scuff up the wood and metal to a field used appearance. Excellent review as always, Andy.
Get a real one or shut it. There HAS to be some compromises otherwise it would be a 1200+ dollar practically fully custom air rifle. Its just not practical, I like it really. Or you can always get the basically toys that look like a replica and all you can do is plink with it, won't kill anything except maybe a mouse at 10m.
A replica sling is also available. I believe mine was purchased from the eBay site.
Very nice
Noise .sod the neighbours...they can buy there own guns.have a good weekend sir...
I love it 😍
Hi Andy, I like this gun very much, but I have trouble mounting a scope. I tried some mounts, but none of them (11 mm) fits really, so the scope is always bending slightly over to the right or left of the rail. What mounts did you use?
Best reviews on UA-cam, nice one Andy 👍
Nice gun
I’m gonna have to get this
Better than average then, nice
details of the budget scope would be handy Andy ? does finish the period look. ?
Is it possible to use a laser bore sighter with one of these, I have one but bought a big scope to go on it thats more for rim fire so needs to be shimmed at the back and want to be able to get it zeroed but cant fire pellets at home in the garden.
There's a reproduction sling available too, from a variety of sources.
you often refer to iron sights.surely nowadays these are made from mild steel or aluminium alloy.keep up the good work your reviews are excellent.
I want one but I've already spent way way too much on airguns this year!
I am struggling with this gun! I want to buy it, but also the Gletcher Mosin Nagant looks great. Also my girlfriend might argue I have too many airguns.
It has begun in the states. Requires a permit in some city like Washington dc.
The radial 12 pellet magazine is quite large, are you able to use a scope with it or will it only work with the single shot?
Now, if they can just do the same with the LE No4.
Its a great rifle but it would be nice to see one that more realistic
Andy Loving your reviews mate! I've bought one of these in .22 but cannot find a retro style scope. What is the scope you have on the gun in this video? I checked your website for Sentinel X 1040 x 50 but it doesn't look the same? Please can you advise? Cheers!!
wondering the same thing. did you have any luck figuring it out?
Man that will look great with my real K 98.
Can you do a review on a daystate delta wolf
A pity it doesn't come in a co2 variant, most of us historical type collectors do not have the set up for PCP as most of the collection are co2
Stop being a tight ass and buy an air tank. Works out cheaper then the co2 in the long run.
@@RyleKittenhouse A small 4 litre tank with meter cost's £200 that's prohibitively expensive !!!
It's a really cool K98 replica, the only thing I don't like is the fact that it has silencer features because the K98 had a very destinctive loud noise that I would've loved if they had brought that to the PCP version, i know air rifles aren't really loud like a powder burner but I'm still a bit disappointed that they tried to incorporate silencing feature to the barrel.
The other thing I don't like about it is how much the magazine sticks out, I wish and hope that one day we can have "regular" magazine fed action rather than the circular types of PCP magazines that is favored by manufacturers, i know the magazine design is due to technical practicability i am also aware that this particular rifle used clips, but regardless I'd love a PCP rifle with a more classic magazine design that we know from powder burners
a none-rotary magazine would require a mechanism for indexing each shot without deforming the lead pellet, the only non-rotary magazines iv seen used is a chain-link system or a stick magazine you have to index yourself by sliding it sideways, it would be possible to make such a gun use dummy rounds each containing a pellet but the simplest method is usually the best specially when it come to a pcp that uses 20+ftlb in none restrictive countries.
Hello sir. Could you give information about that 4x scope that you use?
Can you do a review of Diana Skyhawk 0.177 cal please
Any idea what size adapter I would need to mount a moderator ? What is the thread size on the barrel tip ?
NIce one Andy Sir ! Oi Diana...now do an SMLE Lee Enfield please.
BTW GSG/RWS/Diana should think about it, this one is their old good Stormrider platform in styled stock. I believe it should not be a huge deal to put it in other stocks as well.
Hello,
I’ve received my rifle.
It great and have that single shot tray.
Just one question: Is it normal that little hole, under the back sight, which goes through?
Some people said to me that there might be a plug or a pin missing…
I’m not worried, but I’d like to find out.
Thanks.
can you link info about that thin scope attached on the rifle?
Love my Friday Fix of AAR. Another lovely little rifle, more shots would be nice but for a replica it is a notch above most. Cheers Andy
Was that only 3 mags full before refilling ?
Diana guns mainly made by Snowpeak in China.. that looks like a variant of their m10 m11 rifles
