I think one of the main reasons to go to the arctic area is because you can go over your reactor threshold. The cold should cancel out the overheating from having too many blocks on your rig.
I wonder if that is how I'm supposed to survive in that area, I've been trying to find tungsten and strontium for so long now. I can't make the cab I want until I find it. I must be missing something as well, cuz I still can't raise my reactor limit past 100
@@stormcmmdr1412 it's the only reason I can think of for why you can go over your reactor limit. You're supposed to overheat so that you can raise your temp for arctic. Arctic should allow you to get away with bigger rigs that wouldn't be possible on other areas.
@yohoki4642 I will have to try it for sure. It also looks like he is in a different area than I've seen the artic. I'm thinking he may be far west. The only artic I've seen, aside from that cold mountaintop, is directly north of spawn. So after I get my steamdeck setup to play I'll be heading directly west and seeing how it goes and what I see

I have another idea for trailmakers multiplayer! I tried this with my friends and it was quite fun! The idea was to race quirky cars, like a mine, a car where the wheels are made of Infaltable-boyancy blocks. This idea was actually inspiring, and I ended up turning my vehicle into a sea exploration vehicle called the SS Baloni.
Tbh, I came up with this idea just goofing around in the vehicle editor. Sometimes just going with your random ideas can lead to something super fun!
Pro-tip for anyone that gets to the mid-late game and can't figure out how to get the purifier.
1. build fragmenter
2. fragment rocks that have high density, best to do it at 99% right after you split large boulder.
This is how you get enough Niobium etc. From quicksand forest and Snow biome. Took me a long time to figure this out. Hope it helps someone.
which rocks have niobium?
@CashGetter niobium is in the quicksand Jungle biome. I can't remember what the rock is called off the top of my mind but it's the only unique rock in and near the quicksand you'll see it. Same deal in the arctic there's warm spots with ore boulders that contain titanium. Find the arctic and then go left until along the arctic edge and you'll eventually dead end at the quicksand jungle right after you cross a river in a hilly area.
I tried terratech worlds out, but unfortunately it lagged heavily for me even with all settings down. I will be patient and wait until the full release because it looks like so much fun!!

This game looks awesome, but the reactor capacity limitation just seems to.. limiting. Maybe I'm spoiled from being a space engineers player but it's kind of crushing when you get an idea/ vision in your head, and the game just says nope.
Really hope the full game has a FREE or SANDBOX mode a bit more akin to the 1st TerraTech fun too

Outstanding, Really love the rewarding gameplay of Robocraft 2 as referenced in the video information panel. Also I'd love to know how you managed to achieve the life like robotic filter applied to your webcam.
I have a base that big in early game. I just attack the “bases” around and steal all their platforms and supports. Since there are quite a few near the spawn point and they have a ridiculous amount of stuff in them usually, I just add them to my base when I find them. I’ve built only one of my 8 silos and that was for the quest. The rest I found at the fake bases around the map
It's nice to see what later-game base building looks like since it's pretty much my least favorite thing to do
I know this was a pre-made save, but I still see so much opportunity here.
I remember back in the day when you used to play early versions of terratech.

Suggestion.: Notice how when you overheat in the normal Biomes, you Die, but try going to the Arctic.
See what happens.ive been looking at the Temperature indicaitor for a while now and i Noticed that if your over heating and go to the arktick boim you will level of.try Doing that. also,don't go in the water at the Arctic. That will surely cause you to freeze.

Odd thought: you know that creation you judged in a Top Ten a couple months ago that was a plane but controlled completely by only four engines, no other flight controls (no ailerons, rudder, or such) and had a dedicated hover mode? What about a dogfight in something similar where automatically around once a minute or two, it would go into its hover mode? Or it could be triggered early by EMP? Not truly helicopters, not truly planes, not truly hovercraft… might be an interesting build.

i feel like it you use over core limit you will overheat then will lose your car every spawn unit you in cold biome will make your core to cold down so you can build your idea tank in cold biome with no problem

I love terratech, but that reactor stuff really seems to limit your vehicle building.
looks fun, better looking than the original terratech, but until either I can mod it out or the devs take it out, the ammo requirement and the generator caps make this a hard pass for me. I was really, really looking forward to this game but the idea of having to constantly come back and build more ammo rather than just pop a new gun on and keep rolling, or not being able to build what I want do to gen cap makes me no longer excited.

You needing to stop crafting and go to your silo that's next to the crafting station just to grab the materials you need before having to drive back to the crafting station means to me that these devs don't respect the player's time. Wasting time like that because crafting stations can't use items from inventories nearby never made a game better. Stop waiting on mods to fix your game.
