Had Bison for the first time in Colorado. When I moved to TX and started living alone I starting using tutorials to learn how to cook. This video has really helped me make my own bison burgers. I always come back to this video. Quick and to the point.
Been lifting weights, do not like the taste of ground beef but when I tried ground bison i fell in love. Started eating with them wheat tortilla, can’t wait to try it with a wheat burger thin bun!
A little late to the party but still used your basic instructions for cooking my Bison burger and it was amazing!! Also like how you cooked one up for mans best friend! Thanks for the tutorial video brother
I tried a bison burger last night at a bar & grill & it was very good. Yea, it was more expensive, but they gave me a pretty big 'burg. There's a couple ranches in Ohio that sell bison meat & you can get it bulk or in patties and the patties only cost .25 cents more. So if anyone wants bison meat, you may not find it in a "commercial" grocery store, but check online & you may get lucky & find a butcher/ranch or a restaurant close to you in your own state.
One thing I also like about bison is, when it's ground, it isn't cut with a lot of water like beef is. When you go to sauté the bison, very little water comes out and it cooks off quickly when it does. Unlike beef where you have to cook out the water because the beef boils and THEN it fries.
Hay there. Just watched the burger video and that Bison looks awesome. I order 12 patties from Nebraska Bison. My family and I will try it for the first time today and I just hope it turns out as good as yours did!!! Looks super tasty and cute pup. I see he likes it to. Thanks for the cooking tips/video.
I tasted Bison burger in Banff Alberta in a restaurant for the first time.It was the best burger I ever had. Yesterday at Costco I bought it for 18.99$ for 2 packages .How do I do them if I don’t have a barbecue?Broil in the oven or an electric grilling machine or fried? Help.
I just bought a pound of bison..still a little hesitant to cook it but I here is taste great. So wish me luck.Is it better to cook it on the stove in a pan like a hamburger?Or on the grill?C'mon people help me out pls.
I didn't know this until today, but bison and buffalo are two different animals. If you live in North America, chances are you're eating bison. Buffalo are found in Asia and look very different.
May need to try more stores. It isn't in all stores here either. It's usually in the 'higher end stores' like whole foods or plum market (or whatever is in your area).
It's the Saturated fats that are bad for you. It is higher in Bison from what your labels are saying. I love Bison meat but it seems that any red meat is really high in Saturated fats. Love that you share with the little guy ; )
Little late, but saturated fats are the most healthy kind of fats. You want to consume them as much as possible. Animal fat is the best. Butter, olive oil. Polyunsaturated and unsaturated fats are extremely bad for you. Canola oil, vegetable oil, all that stuff. Completely horrible to your health.
Chef Ramsey would have a cow (pun intended) that you did not season the meat until you formed the patty. The meat needs to be seasoned 1st then formed🤔
I usually make the bison burgers, but yesterday my wife made them, to me it was eating beeef yesterday, PLEASE TRY THE WAY I MAKE THEM, take the meat outta the package don’t work the meat, just form into a paddy depress the middle, I make 1/2lb burgers cook them with just slt and pepper, the flavour is freaking AMAZING., P.S. I ALSO GAVE MY DOG SOME MINI SCHNAUZER SOME too, raw though.
Less fat is fine. But, you want it juicy! I make bison and turkey burgers all the time (my fiance doesn't eat beef or pork). I can make them come out just as juicy and tasty as beef burgers.
Seans Transformation Journey lol yes. put one up today on my main channel, Earthling1984. I also have some other videos of him on my main channel from the past. And he is probably in a couple more cooking videos but not sure which ones off top of my head.
***** man.....hahah i just watched about 6 videos in a row of your dog haha. he's the coolest. he has to have a lot of gas how fast he eats...i would think he gulps a lot of air
Grass fed grass finished beef is perfectly healthy. literally nothing unhealthy about that. tons of vitamins and minerals from properly raised cattle that ate plants from soil. all meat is plant-based, if it's properly raised and farmed. also your body makes its own cholesterol (like thousands of mg a day) so you can throw that myth under the rug.
I currently have 4 grills. 3 gas, one charcoal. But, the grill from this video worked great for me for years. I do like the newer grill I have that has dual levels. Nice to be able to put some stuff up top to kind of 'bake' while you are grilling on the bottom grate.
Yes, I am. That channel is Earthling1984. It's always best to only purchase a pet that was bred by a good breeder and calm and tame upon purchase. You wouldn't buy a dog or cat that bites you, yet, people often buy mean small animals brought up by bad breeders. Most are sold too early. Hedgehogs shouldn't be sold until 3 months. They should all be with their mother until 2 months, then the males separated from the females and mom. The females stay with the mom till 3 months, and the males stay together. At 3 months they should be sold. By this time they were handled often and super nice and calm for the new owners. What you can do for now, since your hedgehog obviously wasn't brought up well, is use gloves. Be very calm and slow when handling. Hedgehogs get scared easy, so be very calm. Use gloves and handle daily. It may take months but in time the hedgehog should get used to you.
here i am seeing people tell dogs to do things numerous times while the dog ignores and does its own thing. ;like, Yeah i hear u but i wanna do this. then the dog still does it when u told it not to. funny
My doggie listens pretty good :) Once he is sitting and staying, I can leave the room for as long as I want. Come back, he still sitting there waiting for his, 'ok' command :)
Next time you feed your dog, give it to him RAW. It’s so much healthier for them than cooked meat. I know this video was made in 2013, by now I’m sure you’re aware of feeding raw to dogs.
jesenia serranolizardi Check out my other channel (Earthling1984). Same as I am commenting from. Seach my channel for "raw dog food", or, just "dog food" and you will see what I feed my dog. I've fed my dog raw for years.
You should learn how to actually achieve the best flavor from your food by learning how to actually cook. Im not trying to bash you but you need a lot of help learning how to get the most out of your great choice of meats. Sam the cooking guy on UA-cam is what i suggest. I spent 10 yrs in the cooking industry and im sorry but you sir need the help
WOW. if I wouldn't of watched this video on Bison burgers I wouldn't of known what to do with it . Your next video tutorial should be on "how to wipe your ass after taking a dump" cuz without intelligent, well read people like youself we wouldn't know how ".You possess a rare knowledge on "How To's". Thank heaven I saw this video.Hell...I wouldn't of known you can cook red meat on a grill and put it between bread rolls and actually add tomatoes ,onions and lettuce. Go figure.
I would like to give an extra "Like" for you making your dog a burger. Excited little fellow isn't he? But well trained.

Awesome to hear!
That’s where I live and I thought I’d try bison tonight and so here I am at this video 😂
You won me over with the burger for your dog, I bet he/she loved it!
That's right buddy dinner with the best friend a man can have.... You get a like and a sub for that lol

Awesome to hear! Thanks for the tips to find some good buffalo meat also!

well trained dog man
Nice job man. I feed my Rottweiler Kong bison every time I eat it and he loooooooooves it! Glad to see your lil pup enjoy one to
Good one I had at Mount Rushmore!

told u so Awesome! I hope you all enjoyed!!!
I love bison meat. I would get it all the time if I could. But like you said, it's expensive! Here it costs almost $9 for a one-pound package!
In Los Angeles it's $11 at Ralph's grocery store
Expensive in price, but less expensive in the long run with your health.
Bison is way healthier than cow meat.
Its $16 a lb here in central Georgia.

You gotta try it with fry bread.
So cute making him wait, but next time you wait with him !! Be fair, thanks for sharing. My dog and I will enjoy some bison too !!!
Great video bro !!!! Been dying to try it.
Guess I'll be doing a store run tomorrow 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥👍💯
Nice miniature pinscher ❤
I strive to be like you
I just bought a pound of bison..still a little hesitant to cook it but I here is taste great. So wish me luck.Is it better to cook it on the stove in a pan like a hamburger?Or on the grill?C'mon people help me out pls.
Can cook it anyway you cook beef :)
I'm on tha same boat as you right now I'm going to tha store to get some and I feel hesitant too😂😂
I've been wanting to try bison meat for the longest time I'm gonna try it soon your dog reminds me of my dog he likes everything too lol.....
Great video brotha
During the mid1990s, I bought Buffalo's meat at Andronico in Berkeley.Alot leaner than beef.Totally worth it.
Top tier
What kind of grill is that
Awwwww for his dog
Wow what a good boy he is
I have that same bbq. That's a smart dog.
Also higher protein
what's the dog's breed?
Minpin
Good dog you have there.. nice bond.. Your a good man when you remember to cook also for your dog.. nice one sir!! respect and salute to you!
My step father made a bison burger, very good. I enjoyed the tutorial! ( I'm a bit late am I? 😂 )
Good video but it would’ve been helpful to give some perspective as to how high the heat should be when you cook the Byson.
That does look like a tasty burger
you didn't bind it? doesn't it fall apart?
Well, I cook it in this video. So if you watched the whole thing you would see it grilled up just fine and stayed perfectly in tact.
Datsy FX never understood peoples need to use a binder on burger patties. You want your meat to be loose not stiff... youre not making meatloaf
cute dog
I didn't know this until today, but bison and buffalo are two different animals. If you live in North America, chances are you're eating bison. Buffalo are found in Asia and look very different.
Yes, very similar, but, different.
After I bought it and opened the package it smelled like rotten eggs. Is that good or bad?
awww you made a burger for your doggie
Bison is very delicious. I wish they did more to raise more bison so the price would come down.
If you could afford grass fed beef then might as well stick to bison
Marc A at Costco for 20 dollars u get 2 bison packages and 3 grass fed packages for the same price
Where can I get bison... I live in MD.. I never found bison beef.. In giant or target
May need to try more stores. It isn't in all stores here either. It's usually in the 'higher end stores' like whole foods or plum market (or whatever is in your area).
Jose Alvaro Centellas Zambrana I buy mine in kroger
Meteb thaks...
Yes im replying to you 2 years late. I get my bison at walmart, and I live in MD!

How's your dog?
Did I just find the vocalist of Gojira's cooking channel?

Different strokes for different folks!
Lucky dog, eating bison.

Also put minimal toppings on, so you could enjoy the flavour of the meat, for me it’s onions and mustard.
Anyone who makes a point on a looking for less fat in their burger is literally showing they know absolutely nothing about Burger!
Less fat is fine. But, you want it juicy! I make bison and turkey burgers all the time (my fiance doesn't eat beef or pork). I can make them come out just as juicy and tasty as beef burgers.
Great video. When is Nickleback getting back together Chad? Lol
Need to make burger more compact so it doesn't pull apart
You have any more videos with the pooch? lol

Lol I wonder if my dog would be that well behaved if I made him bison!
urmanascrewed Oh sorry, your dog lol. I've been reading through comments and had a brain fart there. :p For sure try some more meats with your pup!
The trick is to put a dent with your finger and the meat will not
Get smaller
Is that a miniature Pincher?
Yes :)

Time to get a real grill...I use that grill in a parking lot before football games. I do like the "Jake," feature.
I currently have 4 grills. 3 gas, one charcoal. But, the grill from this video worked great for me for years. I do like the newer grill I have that has dual levels. Nice to be able to put some stuff up top to kind of 'bake' while you are grilling on the bottom grate.
Didn't even talk about protein
You forgot the most important part: Total Carbohydrates, which is zero. That’s what makes people fat, not sodium, calories or fat content 👍
Why is the dog in a cage?
why do you keep your dog locked up
just out of intrest
prolly does it while he's cooking so the little guy doesn't cause a ruckus
hes dog is a little bit a hyper.. And the dog might jump inside the grill while he was recording.. Ahahaha
you’re a fucking god
crog dont caare
This isn't a recipe. We already know about bison meat. The description says "recipe". It does not say "why is bison meat healthier"
Are you the guy with all the hedgehogs? My young hedgehog is not letting me hold her when we clean her cage.

Looks like bison has way more unsaturated fat
Buffalo is not the same as Bison. They're 2 totally different animals. 😆

That fucking grill needs a real good scrubbing.
Heat kills all germs. No scrubbing needed :)
How is the sodium 30 mgs more when its 80 and 60 and 60+20 is 80. I don't get how its 30 and not 20 mgs more. I am horrible at math so.
I really wish we could eat horse meat in America, unfortunately horse meat is illegal nationwide :(
This guy does not does not know how form a burger
OMG that poor " super well behaved" pup. Control freak anyone?
Someone has never heard of crate training...
Dude what is that booger looking stuff stuck in your wall next to the outlet???
teamgmotorsports
Boogers
Hahaha!! Damn! Clean up once in a while. That shit gonna require a grinder to get off the wall. 😁
Dogs dont cook their meat
Ehh.propane grill.... no thanks
Where I lived at the time, charcoal was not allowed. It was propane or nothing.
