Thanks for sharing the cut footage. We have all done it. It's a great chance for us to learn some lessons. So how exactly did you cut yourself? Do you think you were careless, distracted, or going too fast? I noticed @8:20 that your index finger is creeping down the stick towards the blade a little. Very nice field first aid, though. How big does a cut like that need to be before it needs stitches? Does Superglue really work?
I just wasn’t paying attention. I was extremely tired from hiking all day. I was actually trying to touch up the knife in the field with a field stone. I just cut that part out due to my ranting probably UA-cam of would’ve flagged it.😅
@@MountainAdventureChannel I REALLY don't like the knives without a double guard tang to stop wet hands sliding down onto the blade. They may look cool and fit into a sheath nicely ... but ... too dangerous for serious outdoorsmen to my mind.
Glad to see you with a firearm. Bears in the vicinity ... so what caliber and make is your sidearm?
Back then in 2021, I was carrying a 19X nowadays, I carry a G20 10 mm.
@@MountainAdventureChannel Bear tools in AK start with 44 mag. Bears on the move have enormous inertia. Black bears are weird things. More danger there than with the brown. I understand the Browns are really territorial but will usually avoid human interaction. Black bears have lost their fear of man ... and if they keep coming ... you are a food source ... and they can climb trees no problem. Big browns just push them over. Campsites are not good places if bears present. One extended claw swipe and the flimsy tent is tissue paper for them.
How did you get your Rangeman gshock to give you anything other than your body temp since it was on your wrist? By the way that’s one sharpe knife😂😬😬
I know this guy that makes some pretty crazy sharp knives. 😂
