Hey great video, Great info! I loved that you talked about backpack weight not being as important as carrying comfort / durability. Been backpacking for about 2 years now, only been in below freezing temperatures. Just bought i sled for my next adventure, cant wait to see how it goes 😂😂

I’ve owned the Joker Ember with Curly Birch scales for 2 years. It came with the sheath and matching fire steel. The Ember is a great knife. The 14c28n is easy to strop back to a razor’s edge. Great for carving and batoning.

Prepper bugging in probably do okay prepper bugging out probably die in a couple weeks to a month I would say you're about right prep all you want if you don't know how to live in the woods you're going to die, as a lifelong survivalist an outdoors enthusiast maybe a little redneck you got to know your survival techniques when I was in the military seems like that's all we did is practice but when it came time to be out in the field it's like second nature I would say your average redneck has a way better chance of surviving then any City prepper

Imo depends on the pepper and situation. In some ways, good gear can help bridge the gap of poor/no skills until those skills get forged in the fire of necessity. Even the best bushcrafters need "prepper" style gear to survive. If it a basic knife or saw etc. Unless you literally live like a cave man every day. Which Noone does besides a very very few. Maybe .001% of the population or their full-time job is UA-cam about primitive living. they could say the same about you, probably. It's not a personal shot, but they would see you as you see "bob the prepper." To me, it's a balance, tools/equipment, and skills. You will have significantly increased odds with both vs. heavy on one end or the other.

The biggest problem is that people want to GO OUT AND PLAY TARZAN or SOCOM. Thinking life is that way. But when real SHTF happens you’ll find out you’ll need a shitload of gear and food. To many little idiots and not enough real instructors. With UA-cam every nut is a little expert because he practiced a UA-cam video. Every nut is watching Alone, Outlast, Naked and afraid and they think that’s survival. Not to mention Dave Canterburys duel survival (those type nuts as well). See the real reality shows of old where survivalist put themselves in real bad situations did not come back they died. Trying to show people how to survive for real!!!!! The problem today is that they think it just like a game. I can tap out and do it again I got a second life. I’ve said this before Mother Nature is like a black widow, she looks real enticing, sexy until she tries to kill you after having sex. The wilderness can look so majestic but filled with danger at every turn. Man still has the notion that he can survive anything because he thinks he has that type of power. But the fact the universe still proves that it’s in control. To many FAKE MILITARY NUTS 🔩 buying surplus uniforms and gear and strutting their non trained butts around like they’ve been in for years. Too scared to take the test and pass it and then go to Basic training. This the era of MAKE BELIEVE!!! The illusion of being in a fantasy. And the majority of everyone in UA-cam is following suit just to make money and not thinking about the consequences that may occur afterwards. SOMEONE wants people to try this stuff and see if they die for real!!! You know that kid talking all the crap 💩 but puts his friends up to do it for him. Well that’s about what’s happening right now to UA-cam content. See those games shows are just that a contestant show. You can blow an air horn or signal flare. But what you don’t see is that if that was real those people would actually have died and not given up??? But playing TARZAN and GI Joe is better. And I got a Camera and I can make myself look real important and fake anything I want. It’s your children’s children that are going to suffer from all this. Because paracord can cure anything and build Condos and MCGyver a sophisticated helicopter 🚁. All of you have lost your minds. I am a real Marine veteran, not some fake person who didn’t serve. And I have seen fake nuts pretending to be real veterans judging others videos because their preaching fake crap when they set up the whole ordeal. The thing is that you have no ideal where you’re going to be if the real SHTF really happens. Trying to carry your gear in your car which can damage it. Then nuts want you to carry just a military poncho in severe weather conditions and brave it. I am a real combat veteran and when first contact in a combat expect all your plans to show sideways. Think 🤔 I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I WILL BE WHEN THIS SHIT KICKS OFF. Can I get to my gear, can I get to my family in time, am I caught up in the epicenter of the crisis??? You cannot prepare for a catastrophe of a large magnitude that will no matter what take large a number of lives. That means all your prepping could be for not!!! If you survive it’s going to what gear you find or salvage. I believe the phrase is FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY 💴 huh?🤔 😂🤣🤣😗😜🤪 SEMPER FI

Bob is a very dangerous man. Bob has been waiting to be unleashed. He has been tired of the rules of humanity for quite a while now. It just so happens you run into Bob with your family. Bob is of average build with square frame glasses and sunburnt skin. He has a gash in his forearm bleeding though a bandage. He said it was from being ran off the road and wrecking his car 2 days ago, a piece of glass. Really, the cut was from Bob exterminating a family of three just hours prior to your meeting. Bob has the underwear of the dead wife and daughter in his left pocket. Bob said he needs help as his wife "Helen" broke her leg on the rough terrain. Bob is holding what looks to be a 2-year-old child and on his back is a medium pack. Bob seems to be quite concerned about getting her help before nightfall. She is hold up with their son Bob Jr. just a half mile north. You're on day 14 of your journey... Migrant caravans are how it's going to be. Traveling solo with your family is far too dangerous. A liability is what you're traveling with. That nice big pack(s), exactly what Bob is looking for. You haven't a clue what people will do to survive. Oh. The 2-year-old child's abdomen was hollowed out to hide a loaded .45 pistol he acquired from the last travelers. Good job on your 2 weeks. Bob loves his new haversack and his new family. Soon he will add to his collection.

I agree… but only if this average person you’re referring to has to leave all or most of their gear and preps behind…. And actually go into a forest or inner city and try to survive with no help from any other people in the world. That being said… Most average people who are prepping would not be in that scenario. Regardless it’s always a great idea to be as ready as you can. Thanks for the video!

I like the one bag that operates like a backup kit. It back ups everything. You might be able,(inconcept, you would not want to), loose the outside pack and just grab it and run. Seriously, how much survival cover could you I have? But in concept, you could lose the bag and grab just the backup. It really only has to last 24 hours, or overnight so you could build up.

Canadian Preper is just gaming the algorithm. Fear nongering generates clicks and views, which generates visits to his store, which generates sales. Which is how he has been able to buy his property and create his prepper fifedom. Despite the fearmongering, which doesn't appeal to me at all, his channel still has good content. He is doing good work setting up his property. A lot of high value ideas there.
