- Hey everyone, in this video, I wanted to share my experience and tips for dealing with travel anxiety on my first long haul flight. Although I am not someone who gets anxious about flying, I was pretty nervous about taking a long haul flight. I learned a lot along the way that I think could be helpful to others who struggle with travel anxiety.
In this video, I talk about the things that helped me stay calm and comfortable during the flight, from practicing deep breathing exercises to distracting myself with movies and music. I'm also sharing some practical tips for preparing for a long haul flight, such as packing a carry-on bag with all the essentials and making sure to stay hydrated throughout the journey.

I love the unfiltered bits at the end! 🤗 I'm so glad you had a good trip! I have only been to Florida once and it was during the hottest time of the year (would not do that again lol) you went at the perfect time. These tips are amazing! The airline should use you for their pre-flight reassurance as you have such a calming way of speaking. Speaking as someone who is anxious about everything, one thing that helps is to have the mindset that the flight/airports/limos, etc. are a fun activity. Last time I flew back and forth from UK they gave us swag; a package with sleep mask, moist towel, hand lotion, a little bag, a blanket even though we were in coach!

Yes, well not all weather in the USA is like Florida, esp this time of year. Lol. Much of the country has been the opposite. It would be a very stressful, long-haul flight on the body. Thankfully you felt comfortable and safe, but still never let your guard down. So glad you had a great holiday; You deserve it! Come back soon. Very good tips. Nothing wrong with preparing ahead. 😉

@@IamBecca I hate to say depends, but it does. We are of course Pennsylvania centric western side of the state. So if you are lets say going to Washington D.C. which is very beautiful in itself, you are a day trip away from Hershey Pa (land of chocolate!) Gettysburg is very American historic or any of the many state parks like Ohio Pyle which have great hiking opportunities. Hope this helps! 😁
Thank you for sharing airplane traveling tips. I first flew as an adult when I was 54. My first solo trip (and longest flight) was from NE FL to Seattle, WA. I had a layover in Atlanta, GA. Cocoa Beach is about 3 hours from me but I've never been there. Did you go to other cities? I've lived in NE FL over 65 years. Would have loved to meet you! I doubt I'll ever travel out of the US again (I visited Mexico for about 30 min and I've been in Canada a few times).
I will definitely be back! It is such a vast and varying country, I cannot wait to explore it even more! 🧡

Hi Becca thanks for the lovely video as usual, and the tips. I've made few trips Europe/US and always had nice experiences with the flights and the attendants. Biggest problem has always been the jet lag - how did you deal with that? Will you also tell us how was your stay in Florida, what did you do there, etc.? I remember going to Miami in January and being allowed the luxury of a breakfast in the lovely weather outdoors... while at home I had snow 😅

The longest flight I was on was from Toronto to St.Johns Newfoundland. That's 3 to 4 hours
