Hi Premiere Gal, we are good students of your tutorial. Just one thing after getting skin tones, focus, good prime lens, good exposure, and shooting flat profile with beautiful color and grading.... we are wondering, Dear Gal, how to achieve an image hat looks like H.E.R in this example video? Any help please? Very clear, smooth, looks photoshopped... kind of video you know, See Smile ua-cam.com/video/4oseK1D6ru0/v-deo.html
so refreshing to see a tutorial with someone who didn't overedit their video. it has become a lot more common to absolutely flood videos with too much while decreasing the content quality. thanks 😊
You have become my GO-TO for how to do things with Premier Pro as I continue to learn and grow my skills as I capture video and edit it into projects for our church's online worship services. Your tutorials are clear, expertly explained, and illustrated so well with your step-by-step examples. Thank you so much for helping my videos to look SO much better.
You're welcome John!
Great vid Kelsey! I've watched almost a dozen of your tutorials in the last week or so and have learned at least one new thing in each of them! I didn't know what lumetri scopes was until this video and now I've got to do a deep dive to learn more! I was also today years old when I learned from you to shoot in Log mode, which if I understand correctly, is kind of like shooting RAW but for video! Great explanations all around! Cheers!
I'm so happy you revisited color grading you did in this video. Your past videos have helped me so much when I started color grading/fixing. I now realize I need to start using a LUT... Thanks!!
This was the clearest and easiest tutorial on grading yet and I’ve watched a lot. Well done.
2020 is the year I started my editing journey. I've been in the film industry for over 30 years when all of my work went completely away because of the pandemic.... I taught myself to edit that year which led me to more work than I know what to do with. My editing & filming are still a bit elementary, but I am committed to bringing my clients a better product. All of this is thanks to you and others who graciously share your knowledge & expertise. Your style is easy to follow and I can't thank you enough for sharing.
I can't wait to learn more from You.

You've done it again, Gal! You have explained and made it easy for me to understand how to match skin color with multiple cameras, thank you very much!
Bledsoe Railroad Videos awesome!
I loved this tutorial and learned so much about skin grading! Excellent work, Kelsey!
As always helpful tutorial. Thanks Gal!
Color correction has been a small obsession with me. Always trying to learn more about it. I’ve been using fast color corrector for adjusting the angle, but love the tip on using hue v hue to tighten the angle. Going to share with my team which will make me look really smart...but I’ll ultimately give you the credit. 😁 Thanks!
Thanks for all the pointers, Gal. Since I am using a 'point and shoot' Sony BionzX I appreciate all the post production tutorials for correcting and fine tuning the shots. Though most my work is for personal use, I am starting to help some non-profits with little projects and I am glad to get details on how to make it all better.
I can't thank you enough for this amazing video Gal!
This is the best video I have found on this subject! Thank you!! 🌟
Thank you premiere gal for all this tutorials. Your doing a great job and i have learned a lot from you. Keep providing educational videos on editing and god bless you.

Way too excited for this YAY!!! 😍also you look so fresh and GLOWING!! 😘❤❤
Color Grading is one of the tricky task in Video Editing!
But the way you explained about correcting the skin tones was commendable:)
Looking forward to learn more from you✨
Cheers!
This is the best tutorial on color grading... Thank you a million times and more...
after a bunch of searching videos i got the best video for skin tone correction.thnks☺️
C-log is a topic I haven’t seen covered before. Great tip, because you always want to have as much info as possible in the original video file to manipulate and tweak in post! 🤘🏻
For sure, you want to try and film your video in the best settings without log, but log will help you get the best image you need ;)
Thank you! I love your tutorials, the way you teach is clear, simple, fun and so great even for beginners like me!
Laura
You really have great content I dont always watch it but whenever I watch it totally worth it
very nice info, I have learned the hard way the importance, since I often use multiple cameras in single shootings, custom white balance all cameras. After all the lights are in position and on, I put a large white card near subject and zoom in to fill screen with white, then do custom white balance on each camera. it is nearly impossible to match all the cameras in post without this step.
best to you all
Great. Love isolating the skin tone colors with an opacity mask.
Thank you premiere gal for all this tutorials
I had always a white balance problem in shooting & Editing in premiere, But after watching this video I got the simple solution for my problem & not only this but many others. Thank you so much.

I still use the fast color corrector/skin tone line method from your video like 3 years ago haha. It changed my whole post process!
Try using Hue vs Hue now, gives you more control!
thanks Kelsey perfect tutorial as usually
Gal, i love all your videos. I've learned so much. you've made me a much better editor. I'm not sure if you've addressed this before but i have a student who is color blind. He's a good editor but of course it's the one thing that will keep him from ever becoming a great editor. Do you have any advice for him. I'd love to see him really make something of himself once he gets out into the real world. Thanks again. You're awesome!
Well along in my career, 15 years removed from the edit console, and I find myself back in the job market. Converting a career’s worth of visual knowledge into to the language and functionality of Premiere was intimidating until I found your channel. I enjoy for tutorials and the easy, relaxed way you explain activities. Thank you.
Your videos like acting in a movie.. perfect explaination... ❤️ From India

@@PremiereGal will be waiting for the next upload 😍
Hey! I'm impressed by the way you turn such difficult things into a piece of cake. have you ever thought about making a tutorial about shooting in LOG ? I'm struggling with S LOG 3 in some type of situation. It can be a beauty or a disaster... I'm pretty sure I'm not alone trying to figure that out.
Peace!
thanks for your sharing!!
Very helpful. Thanks!
I really dug this video, Gal. I never thought it necessary to shoot log and do the color grading, but you've sold me on the idea. Now I just need a camera that shoots log. I see that you're using the Canon R and I've heard mixed reviews about it. Would love to get your take on it and what you might recommend. Thank you again for another helpful video!
Overall, the EOS R is a great camera. It does everything I need, it doesn’t have high frame rates like the Sony A7S series but if you like Canon color and the UI, it’s a solid one.
@@PremiereGal Appreciate the feedback. My channel is almost exclusively in-studio talking head and I honestly couldn't imagine having to go to high frame rate. I'm not invested in Canon but I don't see a reason not to get one. Thanks for your response and great work!
My picks for learning Premiere Tips is Gal and Photoshop is Unmesh Dinda. Both of you explain things very well , clearly and at a great pace. Keep on rocking !
wow great tutorial 🥰
thanks for your clear explanation
Nice ....i am from India. Premiere Gal your premiere pro tutorials are very useful to me and also upgrade to my work.

Love From India ♥ Like always u keep things simple and easy 🔥 Tats Wat keep us watching ur video alwz.. Thanks for ur video ☺
really informative.. thanks a lot
Thanks for another great tip! I mostly work with food, but whenever hands and faces get in there I feel so out of my element. This will help a ton!
Thanks for the video, I would have liked to see what the second video would look like with the highlights brought down, it seem like it would cost resemble the log video
Good stuff, Thanks!
Never thought I'd hear a sailor say "the log".
Just playin, love your videos, you're a badass!
You are too great honey, I have been watching tutorials , but yours improve me and I do learn slot from yours pls honey keep it up, and I love you more when you bring close or the word zoom when teaching and picking any keys while editing I love it and it make me to see what you picked and understand thanks alot
Thanks Kelsey for this skin tones tutorial. and I gather from it that I really need to take a custom white balance every time I record. Hopefully taking a custom white balance every time along with using the CINELIKE D profile will help to get good consistent color in my church's mixed lighting environment. (Unfortunately my camera doesn't have a Log profile).
Thank for the video. It very informative. Also here is my entry for that 📸
Hi Gal, I recently started using Premiere pro after over 10 years. I've been scared to try it again since I didn't know how far advanced it would be. And I did recently, edited a full project that was approved without too many changes, and immediately got interested in color correcting and grading. Guess whose channel I found first 😁.
PS: As a motion graphic designer, I can attest to how great Envato elements come through for me.
Funny thumbnail 🤩 , As usual very helpful . 🌈
Muchas gracias, excelente 👌
Thank you so much gal
Hey Kelsey, nice tutorial - very clear & detailed! I have a question though. While using the mask to isolate the skin is great for reading the scopes, wouldn't the colour adjustments made end up actually affecting the entire picture though, as we saw with your lips? In which case, would it not be better to use the colour picker tool in the HSL tab to physically select the skin only and therefore any further colour adjustments would only affect the skin?
Many thanks, excellent tips. Question. Do you select your log profile "before" taking your still for custom WB?
