Ruan Mei has made this game significantly a lot more fun for me. And that's what I wish more characters are like. So fun to create different team comps with this character.
They kept putting so many DPS and Hyper carries in the game and it hasn't been out a year. Like Genshin the characters that are worth the most are the supports because they enable more team comps which is more fun.
@@johnathanmurray4777well, game is early. DPS are more useful early in the game cycle, since a lot of the difficulties are damage locked per cycle. If you don't kill them before the certain cycles, you don't get the rewards. Anyways, the DPS we've had have all been very good, but now that there's a DPS for every element, they can give more supports and debuffers.

Honestly not that hard. She gets so much free break effect you can run ERR rope and focus on speed 2 piece and speed subs.
Honestly it's not that hard I have around 160 speed on all my support except bronya cause u need crit DMG on her as a f2p

You guys are full of sh*t. It is that hard if you also consider her HP and DEF. Just BE and SPD is definitely doable, but 124 ER and crazy defensive stats on top of spd en BE is not relatable. This dude has been max refreshing TP since launch day. That’s the real reason his units have broken builds. Has nothing to do with luck or skill, it’s monetary investment, simple as that.

If you don't have it S5 Meshing Cogs does the same thing it guarantees a 3 turn ult once you have a maxed energy regen rope.

So a pretty nutty combo I have been running with freeze teams is that you can do March (preferably e6 for heals) with high EHR and Recharge. This lets you do some crazy stuff:
1. Aggro Ruan Mei when she is using March's shield up to proc the energy gains
2. Lets you get on demand freezes from March's spammable ult.
3. March will counter attack and break with much more efficiency without wasting turns to do so.
4. If ice break occurs, you get free 1 turn delays without any real investment.
5. March regains ult energy by freezing enemies
6. March ult will be up again to delay another half turn when you want her to.

I finally got E6 March while pulling for Ruan Mei and might try this out, thanks. I've been having survivability issues in harder MOC stages with just Huohuo as sustain unit (my other team has Fu Xuan) and Gepard refuses to come home, I'm building my March next after Ruan Mei.
You don’t have to break during her ult, you apply the delay effect with atta ks during the ult and it stays forever until it proccs, so you can break and then delay even outside her ult
I am trying run no-sustain Ruan/Welt remembrance comp and it's super fun. Downside of this is that single Destruction trotter can end my run...

That 11 speed er rope is insane. Er rope is hard to get and 11 spd sub is also hard to get.
You can use Ruan Mei LC on Asta. You hyper carry any DPS.

Going to add something at 8:30 basically even with Signature LC u can 3 turn Ult however aside from having ERR set + ERR rope, a 3 turn Ult (136%+ ERR 161+ spd after all spd buffs from Ruan Mei and E1 of Huo, Huohuo is needed)
Even Abundance 4star LC can help her get that 3 turn ult

Yet for some reason my Ruan Mei's ult never has 100% uptime every 3 turns (using the skill - AA - AA rotation, there's always a little bit of energy needed), even though I have S5 Cogs, 124% ERR and 149 speed on her.
@@jhimaque5500 thats impossible., you are guaranteed 2 to 3 turn ult with cogs and 124 energy. Even sig LC gets a 3 turn Ult but by doin some tweaks tho.
@@reedsad4652 I mean I definitely achieve the 100% uptime if I get hit just once, but my understanding is that with S5 Cogs and 124% ERR, i can max my ult within 3 turns and SP positive rotation without external conditions. Maybe I will try to send a clip of my rotation with her if I can.

I may have said my fair amount of Mid Juan memes, but only because at the time he kinda needed his Light Cone to be good, but now thanks to the Duke's relic set and Ruan Mei he is now quite good now from what I hear (I was not playing the game when his banner was out), I felt bad for him back then but I am glad he is currently on the same tier of Kafka on the Prydwin tier list, but I have a feeling Kafka might rise when Black Swan comes out (I am a DoT main so I might be a bit biased), but I am glad he is closer to his lore-accurate power

Sir I have a question, I have watched your damage explanation video but I still doesn't understand some parts.
I'm trying to build My clara, the 4 piece of Physical is pain in the arse and the upcoming set is coming.
The 4 pcs physical gives you 10% Physical Damage and 25% ATK at full stack
The FuA set gives 20% Follow Up Attack Damage (Does this considered Bonus damage???), since clara hits a single number she doesn't benefit the 4pcs, so lets skip.
And the upcoming one is Increase damage dealt to a debuffed target, clara has debuff (Mark of Counter thingy) so its kinda works. So this 'increase damage dealt' are considered Bonus damage too right?
Soo I should prioritize
Bonus damage
Physical Damage %
And then ATK%? Or the other way around?
Will the 10% Physical Damage and 20% FuA good or the newer one 12% be better? Since it will affect her skill damage and stuff

11 speed substat on the rope. I have a hard time even getting speed as a sub Stat let alone getting multiple increases in that specific speed stat. I got up to 144 speed and 160% break without factoring in passive break.

honestly you dont even need energy recharge and speed on her if you run her with SV planar set and get your ult immediately at the start of the battle and if your units are strong enough you can clear MOC 12 before her buffs run out.
A 120-135 speed ruan mei, highspeed huohuo and tingyun+ ddd can also help RM achieve a 3 turn ult.

You can run her lc with vonwacq or penacony and still get a 3t ult
Over breakeffect will benefit for rm. Because all break will count damage base on rm
With Memories S5, I was surprised that getting a 3-turn ult without ER rope was really easy. Its like the energy generation just fits perfectly

i swear to god, I have never seen someone so god damn lucky with relic stats... all his characters break 160 SPD.... and dps characters have amazing 1:2 crit ration...and all his support characters are tanks with all the right stats too... jesus....

@@iclix00 and you know how probabilities work? the more specific items you want, the lower the percentage of getting it becomes...for him to get that chest piece he had. he needed
1. the right set (1/2 or 0.5) - Messenger / Disciple set
2. the right piece (1/8 or 0.125) - Helm/Gloves/Chest/Boots X 2
3. the right MAIN stat (1/7 or 0.14) - HP%/Crit%/Crit Dmg%/ATK%/DEF%/Effect hit rate%/Outgoing healing%
4 the desired Sub-stat ( 1/10^3 or 0.005) since he had 3 relevant sub-stat - HP%/HP/ATK%/ATK/DEF%/DEF/Crit%/CritDmg%/Effect Resist/Break Effect
so 0.5 * 0.125 * 0.14 * 0.005 = 0.00004375 or .0044 % so barely HALF of a percent of getting that piece from 1 run, so him farming extra 12 times raised it from half a percent to 5%... not to mention the 3 line or 4 line sub-stat start so that would potentially lower it even more, THEN he has to contend with rolling into the right sub-stats... so if that's not godly luck, I don't know what is..

Code definitely hasn't done any actual testing with her signature LC. It's essentially guaranteed to get a 3T ult because you only need to get hit once, or have her talent proc and kill a trash mob. With her LC and technique she only needs to auto on the first wave a single time to get ult on the first turn. The extra skillpoint is also incredibly useful for the upcoming Kafka/BS/RM/HH team. Not to mention if you have HH, you're hitting 3T ults regardless, in which case Cogs is useless and so is the extra energy from MotP

So is E1 really worth it? How much of DMG% it boosts? Someones talking about 8% and others talking about 20+% of DMG boost cause it stacks with same bonuses after breaking weaknesses.
It should be around 12% something. If u dont bring any def reduction unit.. if u bring more def reduction unit.. and having def shred like jingliu LC, 4 set quantum. It will be more.
Def reduction, def ignore.. it scales harder the more u have it. Try to look def % reduction chart / dmg increase% table chart.. u will see wut i mean
If your a whale or light spender, I would pull Ruan Mei’s light, it probably going to be the most disgusting thing on earth in pure Fiction.
It gives your whole team 10 energy. Her light isn’t that great in MoC but in pure Fiction it’s going to be meta defining.
In the Simulated Universe also great.. 3 turns guaranteed etc doesn't matter because u get energy from many blessings source.
It's the only MoC style of fight where it worth to 3 turn guaranteed ult if u not like rng. Also echo of war boss style fight.
Farming calyx etc.. u got many wave So Sig LC better..
Note: pure fiction might not be “wave” based. It might “respown” mechanic so the “wave” energy might not be give from the Sig LC.
This would make sense for balancing, but would chop the Lc in half.

@@datguy5743 its a sig LC for a reason., your trading 60% BE + 1 SP every ult and 24% dmg increase for a 1 turn delay. and its not guaranteed too since I use sig LC myself and I can easily get that 3 turn most of the time.
Code only prefer Cogs because he got broken relic stats., 90% of the player doesnt even have decent one.

S2 is enough, you just need to hit the 160% BreakEffect-Points to maximizie the DMG-Bonus for the team, since the team get 20% BE from her talent-tree. Usually people just go for MoP cause of the 3 Turn Ultimate.
I run mine with breakeffect relics or regen-relics... it depends, and also i use her signature lc; i do not have issues with her Ultimate... people are getting crazy for that 3-Turn ultimate... anyways.

How much is the damage loss if you do 4 turn rotation with E1 Ruan Mei?
Its 1 less turn over 4 turns missing out on 20%def shred and 25% res pen. So for over the course of 4 turns math would most likely say you are dealing 6.25% + whatever 5% def shred comes out too. Basically 4 turn ult you have 1 turn unbuffed so its 1/4 less dmg buff over 4 turns compared to 3 turn ult where its up constantly so basically 4 turn ult will do around 10% less dmg over 4 turns compared to 3 turn ult is my best guess for this. Someone please correct me if im wrong
@@mcbadass2537 I think this is why the gave 24% dmg buff on ult for 3 turns on her LC so it balances out the 4 turns while still having QOL free SP on ult use and 10 energy to team on each wave

Can I have some opinions of some more experienced players? Just how good is Ruan Mei for an account? I'm a sort of player that mainly pulls on characters that I like, so I've been leaning on pulling for blade cause I really like his playstyle and design. But I also understand the value of having Ruan Mei. Could anybody give me their thoughts? I'm not even sure if I'm going to win the 50/50 for blade, so hearing others opinions would be a bit helpful. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit like a beggar, as a f2p I have to be sure if I'm spending my jade wisely
I fall in the category of somewhere between f2p to a very low spender and I can definitely tell you, Ruan mei is a very top tier character. Idk if it's because she is the first 5* limited harmony character or what but if you know about bronya, bronya being a standard 5* harmony character was already way too strong, let alone Ruan mei who is limited. Simple answer, she's a very good investment in general. If you pull her, you will definitely not regret it at the very least. She buffs almost all types of team comps with her buffs and is a game changer in general. I would argue chasing meta is a little bit of a wrong mindset to have considering how frequently the meta shifts but as far as my own thoughts go, you definitely won't regret getting her. She is worth every single jade.
just go for blade, you will be invested to the game more because you use the character you liked instead. i don't pull for DHIL and Jing liu and still clear every content in the game and completed MoC every reset

Are you sure her passive gives her 20% break effect? it says all allies, but it doesnt say excluding ruan mei so maybe it does
In the fight u get the 20% break effect, u can see it by the buffs

how much ERR do you have on HuoHuo? My HuoHuo doesn't seem to like ulting that much for some reason 😕

@@GamingBogart True, it's doable but not easy to do (: I have 195 BE however the other stats are 145 SPD and 1k DEF. There is some potential to raise more def/spd/hp.
