Today's video we are heading into pure fiction once again in Honkai Star Rail and using Himeko, Herta, and Xueyi to create the INFINITE FOLLOW UP Team! This was super fun to make and was also SUPER STRESSFUL ON THE LAST RUN! Let me know if your going to try weird teams like this to help you get the max score in Pure Fiction. I'll have more videos and guides on pure fiction coming out as time passes! We can't forget that Dr. Ratio and Kafka are almost on there way as Ruan Mei and Blade are about to be taken out the warp menu in the second half of version 1.6! Dude, follow-up attacks are the dopamine rush of this game. It's a really satisfying mechanic.

@@alargecorgi2199 Yes, she sucks, along with all other Erudition units except Argenti and Qingque.
Pure Fiction mode was added purely to make them useful. They still suck in any other mode.

wow, cant believe how hoyo creates content for multiple target units. They shouldve added MOC 15 for my non-existent seele since i cant use her in pure fiction.
@@ultrasuper6353 Yeah, it's not as if Erudition units suck so much they had to add Pure Fiction just to make them useful, right? It's not as if they were utter garbage for 8 months after the game released, right? That's unbelievable.

Yeah, tell me again how I can get from mashing the controller in sync to go from 1030 ea. L70 Herta AOE to 3010 but, then to 15000-ish each!
The quantum break has a 150% base chance to apply Entanglment (according to the wiki). That is why against high resistance bosses, sometimes, even if you quantum break them, you don't get the Entanglment. The burn was from one of Himeko's traces. She has a 50% base chance to inflict Burn after she attacks. Nice team! I will try it too!

Svarog in particular has additional CC res to help with that
@@heiwanushiyasuda9092 svarog has entanglement res so, yeah, unless someone builds an EHR body for xueyi, she's very unlikely to trigger the entangle on him
@@REHOO @momoch536 thank you both for answering because I was confused as well! I didn't think it worked like SU with high resistance lmao, I always thought a break guarantee's a quantum(or any) break effect to happen
@@HopeEnstineOne of the obvious examples are the ice enemies even when you ice break them, heck, even remembrance doesn't help, my Herta always stuck on the ice enemies whenever I encounter them in my remembrance run
Himeko’s trace allows her to have a 50% chance to apply burn with her attacks. That’s why Svarog has burn.
I completely forgot that portion of her kit LMAO
I like that it applies to any attack.

No but boss should’ve been entangled from quantum break
@@Astonthepunk some bosses like svarog and cocolia have "control effect res" which means control effects like quantum break(entanglement) and imaginary break(imprisonment) can't be applied and won't be triggered
Ctrl effects however can apply to characters like that but Cocolia is straight up immune to freeze
On a slight note about building Herta and Himeko even if someone can't clear Pure fiction now the first stage will stay for 6 weeks which will be a good amount of time for someone to build at least one of them if not both or prepare for next one which will appear in 4 weeks.
Nice advice. Just to add a little bit, we don't even need to build her "properly" if we want to speedrun current PF. My Herta was built in one day by stealing a Qingque weapon (Seriousness of Breakfast) and random available relics, and she made me 3* last stage. Some people, at least my friends, often get trapped with this. They spend so much time building proper relic and even enchanting theoretical BiS light cone if they have it.
My advice is if you're f2p, this gamemode wasn't designed for you, it's pull bait and you should just focus on enjoying the game instead

If I'm going to pull a character, I want a good place to use it. Argenti is having a blast in Pure Fiction.
I actually hadn't thought about how the extended length gives us more time to build characters! This made me realize how not prefarming in Genshin hurts so bad. Once you already have the banner character fully built, the Abyss buff is already long gone.
@@solarprogeny6736 Dude there people playing no pull account who can clear pure fiction and moc 12. You can 100% clear it if you at least get to pull lol. Just might require some more thinking to get it working.

Pure fiction is currently hard for me because I don't have the characters. But I do love it for the fact that it made Herta so good. I already have her on E6 from SU and a few standard pulls, so seeing her sit and collect dust as a new player was painful, even if it only lasted for a short while. Now thanks to PF she's not only good, but a must-build! And that makes me happy! :D

As someone that got Himeko as their first five-star near launch I've loved using them both as a combo since near the beginning. It's so much fun seeing them both work well together; and Topaz and Ruan have just made it so much better to do so.
Started a few days ago (only about 8 hours into the game), and I also got Himeko as my first. Still fairly clueless about the meta, build, etc, but earlier my Himeko and Herta just cleared 3-4 wave of enemies purely with their follow-up attacks....and I think I came a lil bit.
The Follow up attack gimmick is by far my most favourite, so naturally Herta became my favorite. Unfortunately I didn't get Topaz and Ruan Mei when they came out as I was saving for Sparkle (I have her E1), and I unfortunately still dont have Himeko and Clara yet. But I have Herta built along with Jing Yuan and she's an absolute dream to use.
I got Yanqing as my first 5 star, kinda benched him the moment I got Seele at launch lol.
star rail's follow-up attack is my roman empire. so effing satisfying to watch
Svarog has Entaglement resistance making him 40% resistance against quantum breaker. Its hurt for someone like xueyi that can ignore the bar but she cant get entaglement cuz of 40% res unless you're making her 165% EHR.

You decided me to finish leveling up my E6 Herta from 60 to 80 along upgrading some traces here and there (just miss one now). And that vas a good idea since it unlocked my last star for the current pure fiction 4 ! Even defeated Argenti in the process ! Thanks a lot for the inspiration ! =)

about the Svarog fight:
-The burn was applied by the Himeko trace, not the break
-Not 100% on this one, but it seems like the Svarog buff which makes him immune to any crowd control also makes him imune to the Quantum break effect
I love the fact everyone said Argenti was gonna be mid which deswayed them and now some are regretting not getting him. I personally am glad I saved and pulled him and his LC

Not bad! I do E0 budget builds like this personally. Jing Yuan, Ratio, Himeko and Herta are another extremely cheesed follow-up team build that has some weird synergy with it. Give it a try sometime, deff worth it.
I really do need to level up more of my 4 star characters. I mostly have 5 stars and just looking at your builds wow need to definitely get Herta to 80 and Xueyi as well. Looks like a fun break/follow build

I saw this initially, and it got me to finally build Herta and Himeko. I'm not finished, i'm spending these next few days working on traces for everyone, but I think this will be interesting.
My E6 Herta Finally seeing the light of day
Now I’m interested on building a elation team. Good thing I have Himeko+ her light cone, E6 Herta, Ruan Mei + her Light cone, and recently got Xueyi.
I wondered if this team would work but I didn't have an E2 Xueyi, glad I stumbled upon this video cause now I got my asnwer haha
I don't know if you've had other comments tell you this yet, Svarog in stage 4 has "control effect Res" making him semi immune to quantum, ice and imaginary debuffs. And seems to be that Himeko's passive small odds of landing a burn had also landed.
I can't imagine another scenario where it plays out like it did than that.
Fire trailblazer was my only five star fire character for a long while but I just got Himeko. I will definitely start building her! I just hope I can do it in time before this cycle expires.
I need to lvl up Herta and Himiko for some Kuru Kuru action.

This just gave me incentive to build my e2 Himeko
You can master this by building them three with 2 pieces of grand duke and 2 pieces of thief or watchmaker
(and also having Xueyi E6 because her last eidolon lowers the max karma to just 6)

I'm curious what's your Himeko's stats? I'm actually currently building Himeko and Herta rn when I saw your vid. I'm actually debating whether to have atk% on my body or crit rate to barely manage salsotto's buffs for ults and followups. I'm running full ashblazing and Salsotto...
OMFG it's the team I'm trying to build, I just got Xueyi from the event just to make this team
If you have xueyi at e6 her follow-up only uses 6 stacks, along with one of her traces that keeps track of extra stacks, there is a chance for her to follow up twice which makes the team more silly
still, my favorite team currently is herta, jingliu, with ruan mei on a team and its still a really good team
That one time when you can finally make the same team as the UA-camr.

Fr FUA team is one of my fav team since Dr. Ratio + Topaz happened 😂 it's so satisfying to watch their gameplay.
fyi you can use tingyuns technique twice when you have an extra point so that you start battle with her ult

Bosses have high control resistances. So Quantum, Ice and Imaginary breaks have a high chance to miss.
Xueyi broke his bar, but Svarog resisted the quantum break.

I’m assuming 4 piece duke with salsotto but I was curious as to what her stat line looked like
svarog have 50% Control Effects RES, all debuffs that prevent the victim from taking action, including Frozen, Entanglement, Imprisonment, Dominated, and Outrage.
Man, I'm so thorn between picking clara or himeko for my 300 wish claim... I like Clara's character but Himeko helps build my new Follow-Up Team... And I have Himeko LC...

@@LoneWolf-ty4oj If you have E2 DHIL, E6 bronya will be very good for him. But E1 bronya is good too. E4 gives opportunity to ult 1 turn sooner.
Himeko is really good for Pure Fiction esp this patch, not sure about next patch tho. Clara is generally better than Himeko, esp outside of Pure Fiction

I am now tempted to use the char select to get himeko over bronya seeing as i have a built ruan mei with over 200% BE.
I'm still maxing Ruan Mei and Xueyi.... I guess I will go for Herta next.

I still laugh remembering when people were so adamant about “Ryan Mei and Xueyi have negative synergy cause Ruan Mei keeps them broken.” Like. Lol. This is a perfect example of how they don’t and Xueyi can both benefit from Ryan Mei and not have to worry about that “consequence” cause nothing survives being broken. Sure this is a hyper offense case, but the point remains that if you’re using both you typically aren’t aiming for the target to survive long enough to exit its broken status.
Some people are saying Bosses have higher chance to resist cc which is true, but they hard specific resistances. Svarog has hard Entanglement resistance the same way Cocolia has hard Frozen resistance which is why no entanglement happened on break the same way freeze won't happen on break against Cocolia.
Somehow I have not yet pulled Himeko 😅 One day. I’m setting up the Aventurine exploit team in the meantime

I cleared PF with blade, seele, herta, and clara. it's tough because my effective character pool is small but still hit that 3 star
I have Argenti, Himeko and Herta but sadly neither of them are built because I quit very early game and only popped up now and then. I got lucky at 15 pity and winning 50/50 for argenti. I came back like 3 weeks ago or so and my only two semi built teams are for Dan Heng IL (him, yukong, SW and Bailu) and Jing Yuan (him, tingyun, sparkle and lynx) so neither of them are good good for pure fiction
I made this team early game using dr ratio and march 7th including himeko and herta
I know it isn't that relevant, but because I don't know of a quantum aoe character, I brought Xueyi to pure fiction and got 70k points so it worked out pretty well in the end. I wonder how long until we get one, a true aoe erudition quantum.

it was hidden under the numbers lol, Svarog resisted entanglement, didn't know it was even possible to resist break effects, maybe it's just quantum because even in Conundrum 12 breaking ice weakness always freezes them, or I'm just dumb

i got only 8 stars when i first played this mode but when i built herta and putted her with himeko i got 11 stars just like that 😂😂 now i only need argenti and i will be able to get 12 stars i am waiting for he's rerun
That looks like a fun team. Now I only need to pull Himeko, pull 6 Xueyi, farm artefacts for Himeko, farm artefacts for Herta, level up himeko, level up herta, cry because it's taking so long and have fun!

can you use and other harmony character instead of Ruan Mei? i skipped her when she came out, and im probably not gonna pull her on her rerun bc i NEED firefly.
You can use a character like Robin or Asta, as you mainly need a harmony who buffs party wide instead of single target.
However it won’t be as efficient in certain contexts, as although Robin has crazy buffs especially for follow up units, what helps this team a lot is Ruan Mei’s 50% weakness break efficiency buff which makes breaking enemies faster and thus proccing himeko’s follow up more consistently.
I wish I had gotten xueyi, I didn't even care about ruan mei I just wanted my puppet girl to come home

I think this game mode redeemed herta and himeko.
Thats why himeko, ruanmei and later blackswan is ultimate mommies team, because its nihility/breaking team!
