More light on the road at night is always better. When driving at night i always turn on all lights. my fog lights lightens up the sides of the road. I live in Europe so its legal here.
I don't get it. In my 02 330ci Cabrio manual says I have alarm system, and till sensor. But when I try to lock/unlock or test the alarm nothing happens. How do j make it work?
The alarm sets after two minutes so I would wait two minutes first I would then check to make sure the motion sensor is installed in the ceiling of the back seats.
It could be that a previous owner had it disabled, the sensor in the passenger seat and hood tends to brake, making it to go off. And the Alarm should set immediately after you lock the car. Try to roll the window down, set the alarm and then open the door from the inside

When you are sitting in your car quietly in your garage, if you turn your car to the 1st position and turn the radio volume all the way down, do you notice a hiss coming from your speakers. Turning down the climate control and having a quiet environment will help notice the hiss if any. If you could get back to me that'll be great. Thanks! You have make connection cable from battery + to CD +. And don’t forget to remove old +cable from your CD( if you are with original CD I think is not gonna work but you can try it) if you not understend me you can search for video tutorial. I think I give you a best point for start 😉

Yeah it's a pretty dick move when you're blinding everyone else on the road. I live in NJ and you have people being obnoxious with light bars installed all over and driving on city streets. If you go camping and out to rural areas, llllight the f on. In the city though fam?
The fog light one is completely pointless. Ever ask yourself why foglights are so low? It's so they don't reflect back at you from the fog. Using high beams at the same time will blind you in fog. And if you're not in fog you shouldn't be using foglights at all. It's illegal where I live.

I have a Volvo sedan, not a suv, I'm not talking about light bars , just oem fogs like on this bmw. You sound like you live somewhere with a lot of over regulation.

So you don’t even need to code that option. You actually tap your angel eyes to your interior lights. If you watch my video on how to install angel eyes it shows you how to wire it up.

Don't code it for the ability to run your high beams and fog lights at the same time. I did that mod to a Chevy Suburban and got a ticket (it was in Virginia, of course) but still, don't risk it!
Antonio Uzzle oh okay. I've never had a problem with cops out there.. honestly I actually like driving in that part of VA. However, last time I was out there it confirmed my hypothesis..... I-64 always sucks no matter where you are on it! VA, WV, KY or whatever. The whole damn thing sucks!
You can also code that when you press unlock button twice, driver side window will go all the way down when you open the door and then go up when you close the door. My car does that and I'm not sure the exact purpose of that but it's easier to get in the car when you are parked close to a wall and can't open the door enough.
Eddie Milohnic it is to protect the glass when in freezing conditions as it is prone to breaking when opening the door while it is frozen to the rubber seal so it lowers it to break it from the ice allowing the door to open without possible breaking of the window and it is handy for tighter spaces too
I coded my seats as well. So your key fob assumes that fob b was used (gf stole your car). Then you use fob a to unlock your car. This will activate that code to move your seats, also it can be activated my opening the door or by unlocking the car via fob.

Which is a better code reader for an E46....this C110 I jus got, OR a Carly Reader (if Carly, plz let me know what exact Carly model unit is called,... for a 2005 325ci cabrio, i should add). Also...hos to I re-code my key FOB to do that automatic top up/down being OUTside the car, rather than climbing INto a HOT cabrio to manually (& annoyingly) PRESSING the INTERIOR top down button? (can a CODE reader DO this?...if not how to RE-SET or check off the boxes for a re-setting? Please advise!! Thx Evan!!
the car doesn't actually lock when the lights flash. only when the alarm beeps. Open a door and press lock on the remote. The lights will flash. close the door. The doors will lock and the alarm will beep. It might work for the trunk as well, not sure. I use it for my tailgate all the time.
Did you mention which programmer you were currently using? If so, I missed it. You flashed it quickly in front of camera, didn't appear to be a Carly, so was curious about which one specifically you bought to do the modifications you've done so far. I myself own a E46 '01 330ci (convertible) sports package. I, too would like to do some of the light mods and window mods. Lastly, does your unit also scan for engine codes, reset them, like oil chage lights? Or strictly a programming module for OBD2? I was looking into getting into NCS Expert myself along with using NCS Dummy, also considering INPA programmer with cable as well, using a laptop computer purposed for just my car. The problem I've read with both these platform solutions, is they aren't really designed to run on modern operating systems like Windows 10 or even Windows 10 x64. There's some tutorials out there, to get it working. I plan to research, but for now... just starting out would be nice to get something a bit simpler and ease my way into the hardcore laptop coding possibilities thats no doubt going to take a ton of research and trial and error to be useful in it. You plug it into the obd2 port located under the steering wheel but I don't think the e34 has an obd2 instead there is a 20 round pin connector in the engine bay.
BMW didn't tell you about these codes because they program them in the more expensive versions. You wouldn't want to spend an extra $20k and find out your car is just the cheaper version with a few special badges

I just changed a starter in my 06 325 it was a bitch getting off all that bullshit i had to go threw took out everything under the hood just to get to the starter then it was as big as a shoe.

Ah I think I know your issue, you need a K+dcan cable to code with inpa/ncsexpert. You need a BMW scanner cable to code with PA soft bmw scanner 1.4

Not all mirrors on the e46 are power folding.

Dave Scurlock I had inpa running on windows 10. I can’t remember what I did, but there’s a tutorial in line. Alternatively, get an old lappy.

You plug it into the obd2 port located under the steering wheel but I don't think the e34 has an obd2 instead there is a 20 round pin connector in the engine bay.

BMW didn't tell you about these codes because they program them in the more expensive versions. You wouldn't want to spend an extra $20k and find out your car is just the cheaper version with a few special badges

The point of fogs being off during high beam is so that people know whether you’re being an ass with high beams on close to them or not

I have a Facelift Sedan with LED Taillights, i live in Germany, so the rear fog lights are a serious thing :D
I want to code the inner lights out, so they only light up, when i turn on the switch, do you know how to do it?
My remote key will not work while I am sitting in the car; the car picks up that someone is sitting in the seat.

I just changed a starter in my 06 325 it was a bitch getting off all that bullshit i had to go threw took out everything under the hood just to get to the starter then it was as big as a shoe.
