The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah, that's cool."
I'm also the producer for the Winding Road UA-cam Channel:

Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly press vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, it's pretty nuts. Or don't. As long as you whitelist me on your adblocker I'm okay with whatever you do or don't do with regards to headphone usage. That is all. Oh and I guess you should also probably subscribe. Why are you still reading this, you should be watching the video. With headphones! Hah, had to sneak that in there one more time. Later! - Авто та транспорт

TheTopher brother i have a big respect for you every time 😘🥰
Soo cheap!! The UX in F sport trim costs over £33k in the UK
Wow. Six minutes in and I can definitely feel your total enthusiasm for the vehicle, haha. Glad you reviewed this for us anyway, even if the car is boring.
This is the first time I have felt 'kinda' sorry for you during a POV drive. The UX is crying out for the 2.5 engine paired to the 8 speed or Hybrid system as found in the Camry/RAV4. They would have boosted power AND boosted fuel economy. 1 HP more than a Corolla hatch is not good enough at this price.
I guess its for people who wanted to drive something like a C-HR, but wanted something more premium(can’t say this car is luxurious). Knowing people who would consider buying a C-HR, they are most likely never going to floor it.
Anton Zuykov lol
Would do well with an electric motor matched with Toyota's new 2.0L NA engine (~160hp). Right now it doesn't have the same effortless power you'd expect from a Lexus
@@Lucky8s The Hybrid UX does have a 2.O engine.

*oh*
The chime when you switch around with the infotainmemt system reminds me of the ps2 menu sounds
Im getting better at doing POVs now ! thanks to you brodie.
epic!
The only reason people are buying this car is the brand itself, the luxurious feeling in the cabin, reliable (not so sure about this, but they said Toyota makes good CVts) and gorgeous styling. They don’t buy because of the horsepower.
See you live in Michigan as I do too, love the reviews 👍
Everything about the UX looks average except for the fuel economy. It's just an under-powered economy-luxury-car. Nothing impressive. Lexus wanted a reason to add more SUVs(lol it's a crossover) to the lineup to feed the ever-growing SUV/Crossover market.
Basically, the UX is designed for the "I want to fit in with the crossover craze and have a Lexus badge to make that bitch in the next cubical jealous even though I can't afford a real Lexus" crowd.
@普通の人 I dunno about "much better" power. The UX250h is still slow as hell. It just gets really good fuel economy. This isn't the car to buy if you're looking for sportiness.
Toyota corolla engine and transmission
Love Lexus but this is the epitome of corner cutting
Thank you, I think you're the only reviewer to 1. mention the knee-hit on the way into the driver's seat and 2. the fact that the ye olde Toyota Cruise Control stalk is tried and true; maybe not stylish, but it works.
I like your review, very realistic
I purchased the 250h f sport two days ago. Love it. Nice review.
i'd rather get a 2.0t accord or a v6 camry with this price
I love that colour!
I'd buy this but I'd get rid of the cladding, and lower it to make it a real hatchback
I might have an issue with the Cyberman / late '80s ford tempo knob controls flanking the gauge cluster. I'd have to sit in the thing to see if that bothered me. That's a hella black / dark interior.
Would love to see you review a cad CT6 with 3.0TT or the blackwing V8
I don't know whether this is a compliment to the Corolla SE for having a Lexus engine or an insult to Lexus for having a Toyota engine.
That interior is really dark. I couldn't even tell there were gray accents on the dash until you opened the sunroof shade. The interior could definitely use some lighter accent colors to contrast all the dark tones.
I could tell that was Michigan just from the roads
sporty~
2019 es?
Mind trying out the 2019 C-HR too?
Updates were done to it after the first model year...
why all these reviewers are moving the seat forward ? So dishonest ! dude tell the truth that car has no room in the back seat area
Toyota seems to be cutting back interior space in all their new 'TNGA' cars.
He did say that it’s claustrophobic back there
I like Lexus. There really shouldn’t be hard plastics on the door sills. Real cheap
No A/C button?
Kinda looks more like hot-hatch than a crossover
9:14 is the reason not to buy any CVT car; if fuel economy is what you're looking for, get a much cheaper car which will have a much lower TCO.
yeah because people are going to be flooring it constantly everywhere they go, especially because that's the way to get the good fuel economy.
Nothing about this car I’ve seen anywhere is impressive at all..
I prefer to buy a used GX or used NX
It sucks and his comming from a Lexus fan boy.
Acura RDX is the best car in this segment, and even though it is fwd based they give you proper awd which can send 70% of the torque to the rear + it has tvd (and all that only for two grand more then top spec of this crap) . Lexus has oonly two grate cars today, LS and LC, everything elce is either obsolete or fwd crap based on Toyota vehicles.
Kind of hard to believe you’re a Lexus fanboy.
The RDX competes with the NX mind you.
The UX is in a segment below it.
@@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 Yeh, but as i said that price wise fully loaded UX = base RDX (which is batter) and just for two grand more you get their awd which is a masterpiece.
@@name4379I am, i really think that Toyota builds the best engines transmission and chassis ( they do have the biggest number of patients among car companies) and i hate German cars. But i think Lexus should never share these cheep platforms with Toyota. They wait for ne light rwd platform which they are developing with Mazda that will be in new is and new Mazda coupe and use it for this car, for new NX as well as Supra, which should have twin turbo v6 from LS and not be just rebadged bmw z4. I hope that at least next RX will be based on LS and LC platform (cos the concept looked rwd ish) and i hope GS will be back.
You see they hold on to these crappy Lexuses, cos they have good sales, but the truth is it's exactly the reason that Lexus has worst sales than Germans as a brand. These crappy Lexuses spoil sales of cars like LS, which is being curently outsold by S class twice in numbers. Point is You can't be semi luxury and luxuri car company at once.
@@user-hj2kq2vl6y The difference is, the new Supra isn't a rebadged Z4. They are different for more than 90% with the exception of them riding on a co-developed platform (even a different engine built with Toyota too hence the Inline 6 heritage which there are reasons why the TT V6 wasn't used too) then spent years developing their cars alone.
Heads up display? How many heads do you have?
Can you do a tutorial on how to drive a manual? I know the basics but there is one issue, everytime I upshift and release the clutch there is s jerk motion. Is it because I let out clutch too early or late?
I think that you release the clutch too fast.
Try to release it a lil bit slower
Try releasing the clutch to the halfway point, holding it there for just a fraction of a second and then releasing fully in a smooth motion. In time, you can do this quicker and smoother.
Why Lexus steering wheel has too much buttons and huge emblem. It looks fat.
They used to have the logo much smaller and the same color as the rest of the interior (not chrome). Was much better that way.
korcsmith it was not like this until they have to put too many safety features on the car.
Now if Lexus could make a 2.0 liter turbo RWD UXF with a a ZF 8 speed....
Would probably be better with an Aisin transmission given their better reputation for FF transmissions.
All look no cook!
I really do like the look of this. But the engine, transmission, and the infotainment are so bad, it makes the entire vehicle unbearable.
Literally the only think Lexus had to do was put a 2.0T with the 10 speed auto THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE in the LS in this. But of course Lexus, like their parent company Toyota, loves ancient drivetrains.
The engine and transmission combo was amazing when I tried out the new Toyota Corolla (both sedan and hatchback)... it just doesn't suit an entry-level luxury vehicle like this.
Keep the engine but slap a turbocharger with an 8-speed gearbox. With the addition of giving the screen an access of touching it like with the facelifted RX.
The most luxurious small SUV i have ever seen
why do you test the music systems with that eww eww eww song?
To see if they’re eww.
Probably just becouse of bass drops
TheTopher lol good one
The ewwer the music, the better the sound system is.
Nobody buys this car haven’t seen on
Horrid
