I bought one of these because I couldn't wait for SageDynamics to release a review of it. Writing this comment before I've watched the video praying it passes the drop test. Spoiler Alert: It survived
Have you ever considered submerging enclosed optics after the final drop test to ensure there are no hairline fractures around the window from the force of the impact? Just to ensure it’s still sealed and purged if that’s a selling point
You are the best in the business. I just did a quick review of the SCS PDP and MP2 and I noticed the same thing with the dot only setting. It is much larger than 2 MOA. Pretty starbursted too. Glad you still bring vids to youtube. Thanks man.
My agency went to the SCS shortly after they were released 2 years ago. I love it in fact I love it so much I ordered one of my own for my Anderson Kiger 9c.
I bought one only after watching the scs mos review… this is a stellar optic. I’m 1 year in and 5,000 rounds. I have Sro, rmr, 507c and by far this is one of the most practical optics I’ve owned. He didn’t mention it but the clarity and lack of distortion is massive over all other optics. The glass is super clear (no tint) and flat as an eotech honestly. I haven’t seen a pistol dot without distortion and it’s super nice
I’ve had mine as soon as they shipped and was lucky enough to get a LE model. It has been solid so far. I love the auto brightness feature it is so fast you can’t tell it’s working, it’s just always the perfect brightness day or night.
Thank you for this review, I just bought this Holosun SCS for my Sig Sauer P320 X10 comp and I really like. I have several Holosuns and for what I do they have been great, very clear glass for my eyes.
I bought my SCS320 for my 226 elite after your reviews of the SCS optics. I have been running it hard for a few thousand rounds now and it has quickly become my favorite pistol dot over my rmr's, 509T's, 507's, etc. It's pretty much my main course of action before purchasing an optic to watch any of you reviews/testing on them first.
Another vote for the P226/SCS-320 pairing, mine is on a Pro-Cut slide. I should mention there's a little bit of daylight at the rear of the optic cut that isn't there when mounted on a P320. We're talking tiny gap though, can't slip a piece of paper in there. Also used it in two night vision classes with a white phos thin film PVS-14, and yeah, it blooms, but it's still usable. Also, SHOT Show rumors have Holosun making an SCS enclosed that fits on the 507K/RMS-c footprint...think SCS EPS.
@@Croak1I have the SCS320 on a P320 slide and there is also a little daylight at the rear of the optic. I guess if it can handle Sage Dynamics durability test then it should be fine but I’m still annoyed by the gap lol

I’ve run my SCS 320 on my Glock 17 with a Grey Ghost Precision slide (because they sell slides with a DPP footprint). Four months and 1,200 rounds later, still doing ok. I’ve been shooting Carry Optics since 2018, and this is the best auto-adjust I’ve seen so far.
Have this on my new CA M18. First optic on a handgun for me (eyes are crap) and decided on the SCS after seeing this video. Thank you. 450 rounds so far in both outdoor and indoor settings. The auto adjust is so smart that I never even thought that it needed adjustment of any kind. Green is good for my eyes and not an issue. Will see how that battery lasts and hope I never have to send it back (don't carry, don't keep it on at all times). Very happy so far.

They just released the new scs carry at shot show, shockingly under reported on as the thermal pistol optic got all the attention. This means we’re about to get a smaller version of this optic with a K footprint and narrow body for smaller carry guns. I just bought a P365 and now will wait to get my hands on that scs carry to put on it.
I’ve had mine mounted on my duty gun for a while. This sight like he said is one of the, if not the smartest auto adjusting dots on the market, and I hate auto adjust. My personal milage, it gets a 9/10 on the auto adjust just because there have been a few situations where I have found it to be too dim when I turn on a weapon light downrange or clearing a room/building. Accidentally dropped mine and it did hold zero with no damage other than marring to the optic body. All in all, it seems to be a solid little optic. Wish they made it in red cause I don’t care for green but that’s just me.
I have one for a Glock 34 and one for a S&W 10mm 2.0. Didn't know they made one for Sig. Will have to verify it fits P229 &/or X-Five. There goes my spending allowance for February. Nice presentation.
I placed one on a Staccato C2 as direct mount, no plate needed .Used Dawson kit and Tang sight kit , so have co witness sights.Very pleased with it. Green dot is a little different for my eyes also.
Which Dawson kit are you referring to? I know you said direct mount, but the DPP kit would leave the rear threaded hole for the plates exposed and I don't think that would look very good on a 2k+ gun. Someone claimed to have done it with an EFLX plate, but said they had to "modify" the recoil lugs. This was on my short list for my C2, but I could never figure out the rear sight so I moved on to the Romeo X for now on a Shield plate.
One issue I’ve run into with the auto adjustment is when I’m clearing a house at night with a weapon light, in a smaller pitch black room the reticle will go to the lowest setting, and then be hardly visible when I light up the room with a weapon light. And so far they haven’t brightened when I turn on my light. Small but relevant issue. Granted that is with holosun rifle optics. I don’t have experience with this specific one but I’m pretty convinced on buying this one for my AXG pro.
Funny thing is, I was looking at videos the 320 SCS and was thinking, damn only if Aaron made a video for it and open my UA-cam up today and what do i see, Sage Dynamics video review on the Holosun 320 SCS, lol, cant make this ish up. Thanks man
Just ordered up the PDP version of the same - cannot Imagine it being very much different - taking a chance on the green dot - first one. I guess I’ll see how it goes. The SCS’s ability to co-witness standard height sights made it worth the chance of not digging the green.
@countryboy9546 I agree, it runs it quite bright, but I'd rather it be slightly too bright than not bright enough. With the standard battery red Holosuns I've used in the past, the auto adjust was frequently too dim.
Green dots also block green light from being able to pass through the lens so your green emitter light is visible.... including your night vision. C-Does did a video comparing a green and red EPS and his NV light transmission was terrible comparatively so.
I got the SCRS because the I had heard everywhere that the SCS auto adjustment worked really well...with the SCRS the auto adjustment is totally useless, I had to go with the manual mode. It's still a great optic, but it makes me reluctant to get one of the pistol SCS optics because I can't trust the auto adjust.
Is anybody using the SCS and using the Battlewerx screws instead of the Holosun factory screws? I’ve heard the factory screws are breaking off in the slide especially on Glocks. Not many are talking about that issue.
The thing that makes me a no-go for a carry optic is that it’s first generation of a new technology. Additionally, since the user can’t service the battery, how much will the return to Holosun for replacement cost? ( because it WILL fail at some point)
@@bassmonster420 I'm guessing by the time the battery needs to be replaced, it will be out of warranty. It all depends on the specific chemistry of the battery they choose but I would guess it will lose 20-30% of a full charge every 3 years. I'm VERY curious about going down this road.
