If you read the lyrics you can tell Jerry wrote them the way his father speaks. You can really hear his dad's voice and speach pattern in the lyrics. It's pretty badass when you think of that southern guy in Vietnam screaming "You know we ain't gonna die!!" And bragging that "They ain't found no way to kill me yet!". It gives me chills thinking about it.
The Roosters accent is stronger than mine,and I'm from GA originally......how does that happen?!? The Rooster is a badass though and his badass son has a badass band!
I’m from the mountains of north Georgia he sounds similar to us it’s a very harsh Appalachian accent almost I’ve never heard anyone who sounded like that from Oklahoma lol
Plus, his personality fits into their band of badassery merrymen perfectly. 🤘If you haven’t seen any of the AIC recording sessions with Duvall on Black Gives Way to Blue, Ranier Fog or The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, then, you should - they are funny, beautiful and priceless 🎸
The smaller size concert room gives it the intimate vibe than a larger arena would have. Cause AIC as you know have and continue to fill out whatever demand is needed. Rock on!!🤘🎸

I just can't deal with AIC post Layne Staley (no disrespect to will but u can NVR replace Layne Staley EVER).-Jerry Sr. What a tough man ,lil did he know the boy in the picture he looked at in Vietnam would grow up to be who he is.
I know, my heart breaks that there is no Layne. I'm happy that AIC managed to continue on, but my heart will never really be in it again. Rip Layne, you shaped my teenage years, along with Jerry. The two of them together were a magic that sadly can't quite ever be replicated :(
I just can't get into William Duvall. Hes a good singer he just doesnt have the chops to be put into a position to sing laynes songs because its impossible to do them as good. Doesnt have to sound the same but it needs to feel the same and it just doesn't imo.

Kinda surprised at how tall Jerry Sr is too! I know Jerry Jr is 6’2”, and it looked like Sr is at least a couple inches taller yet.
They look about the same height to me but his dad has probably shrunk.
