As a man of 57, I take extreme delight in watching this young man, and young lady smiling the same way I did the first time I heard the motor city madman do this song! There is hope for our musically for our younger generation! You both have just proved it! Thanks!
Please, Please, Please Queen of the Rych by Queensrych! Exceptional Vocals and instrumentals! This song is a true HEATER!! Thanks for your consideration!
ah man you beat me to it I was going to say the same thing! it bring a freshness to what we have heard for so long we take it for granted. channels like this make me feel like im a teen all over again. We lived in a golden era of music I love seeing it through younger ppls eyes. love watching them rock out to it. ITs a pure blast.
I've got a few years on ya, but I remember as well. It was at the Iowa Jam in the sunny slopes of long ago. I sure had a lot to smile about back then. Still do, now that I think about it😎
if they were real smiles i would agree with you, seems like overacting to me...just my opinon. also how can anyone into music not have heard this before or Ted Nugent?
@The Wolf HunterZ, try doing a reaction to Ted's song "Hibernation" off that same Double Live Gonzo album. It's an instrumental, but what Ted does with that big Gibson Byrdland guitar in the song is incredible. I double dog dare you!!
Nugent late 60s to mid 70s was THE GUITAR beast . People forget how huge he was ,and how his concerts were the event to see when in town. Hibernation was 12 minutes of pure genius and talent that left people speechless. His ability to rattle off comments at lightning speed, with incredible charisma was unique. All things burn out, but it was quite a fire when it was burning. His skill with a guitar has been forgotten and replaced with politics.
Another great rocker that should be in the Hall of Fame..my wife defined Teds music perfectly...PRIMAL!!!. if you listen more you will feel it as well.
Hey Guys Thanks so Much!! Yes they were firecrackers I so appreciate this. Your words are ringing true Ted was a Dynamite showman Lot & Lots of Energy!
Ted Nugent: Free For All Stranglehold Wang Dang Sweet Poontang Wango Tango Dog Eat Dog Paralyzed Ted Nugent is a phenomenal guitarist and he’s an avid bow hunter and practices what he preaches. Huge Second Amendment advocate.
My favorite song off of my favorite live albums from one of my favorite guitarists Uncle Ted. Discovered this album at 15 in 1978 and was hooked after that.
Dayyymn! It's been a while since I've heard this one from The Motor City Madman. He always left it all out on the stage. He was fun to see live for sure. Take care ✌
Double live Gonzo is the best live album I own, remember this is from the 70s. Ted NUGENT is a guitar wizard. You need to listen to the whole album it is great.
This version , this concert , best. Check out Wang Dang Sweet Poontang from this one. Badass. Uncle Ted is the absolute master of guitar feedback on the amps.
I’ve seen Ted 14 times since 1982, he puts on a great show. You really need to see this song live! Just take your ear plugs. Ted has two volumes, blow your face off and, well, blow your face off..lol liked your reaction to this song.
The Motorcity Madman was a bundle of electrified heat dressed only in loincloth swinging back-and-forth across the stage on his Tarzan swing 😎🎸 Oh yes could lay down the wicked sound at 200% volume every night & uncle Ted is still cranking the axe toady✌😎 There will never be another one like him ☺ Favorite album: Double Live Gonzo (Favorite Songs) Stranglehold Cat Scratch Fever Wang Dang Sweet Poon Tang ( the man was a poet 😅😄😃 ) Yank Me,Crank Me Motorcity Madhouse Wango Tango
He used to do New Years Eve every year in Detroit. Called the Whiplash Bash enters on a Buffalo, swinging on a rope in a loin cloth and his guitar man must see every year. God miss those concerts. Seen him at least 10 times so much talent.
This album was my jam in high school. Let's hear it for all that Nashville......cancelled. This, Stormtrooper and of course Stranglehold are the highlights.
Ted Nugent both sang and played the guitar. He also jumped off the tower of speakers onstage. At least he did when I saw him back in 76 or 77. Can't remember which. I do know I was in HS soooooo
one of my heroes in the 80th- my favorit is "strangle hold" which i hardly request! thanks for great entertainment the last weeks- you guys are great fun! btw- Rammstein "Deutschland" (official video) reaction is overdue ;-)
I remember back in 1978 this song was played silly amount of times along with George throughgood at backyard kegger party's with so much pot smoke you could hardly see the person standing next to you!!! 🤪 No cops ever came to bust the party up! Loud as hell ! Does anybody Evan know what a kegger is all the beer you can drink for 2 bux$ for all night 🌙 what a deal! This song really takes me back there time warp to the past man! Too! Cool! Rock on mrotor city mad man!!!!!! 👍
You should’ve heard it on an 8-Track stereo in a muscle car ( common in the seventies). I worked at a local restaurant when I was in high school, and would listen to this on the way home in my ‘64 Dodge Polara 500 with a 383 MOPAR, and seventies all the way around with five-spoke factory mags with beauty rings ( sorry. I miss that car. And my youth ).
Only saw him one time in concert. The loudest concert i ever heard. Had a hard time hearing for a day or two. Shame he is not in rock n roll hall.of fame.
Check out Just what the Dr ordeeed, Out of control or Dog eat dog by Nugent also. He was probably the foremost rock guitarist of that post 60 era during the 70's. He was both a fabulous rock guitarist but also a great showman. Others were Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) Micheal Schenker (UFO) but really none had the presence live on stage that Nugent had.
Ted "The Sledge' still tours occasionally. He also gets crapped on for his hunting and fishing by the elitists. Thing is, like this song, he consumes what he bags-no more, no less. That being said, if you haven't already, you MUST check out Rainbow - "Stargazer" You only have Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Ronnie James Dio doing vocals, Cozy Powell on drums a Jon Lord on keyboards.Great story-line, that the music flows with perfectly, and the guitar solo is flat out gold standard!
Not sure how old I was when this came out… 15-16 yrs old maybe…. This was my favorite album… I learned best I could how to play theses songs …you can try and play these songs… maybe do half ass.. but there are so many intricacies ..
One of the great live albums from the 70s, as much as i wholly disagree with his politics, can't take this album away from him. Stranglehold from this live album is also worth a listen.
Ted is AWESOME, I'm with the other guys, do Stranglehold from that live album. Ted thought rock n roll should be fun so that's the way he did it, wild guitar solos, stage antics and cray songs like "The Flying Lip Lock" or "My Love is Like a Tire Iron.
"Then along came the white man with his thick and empty head wanted all the buffalo dead" Derrick StHolmes is the vocalist for this song. BTW Bison meat is delicious.
To say Ted Nugent can play is a bit of an understatement. Ted's always been a big time environmentalist and an staunch conservative--love him. Hope you don't cancel him now.
What can you say about the legendary motor city Madman. Does anyone have any more nicknames than Ted Nugent? Motor City Madman. Uncle Ted. Theodore Nugent. I seem to be getting old and forgetting some of them can anyone else remember more?
The best version of this song is on his “Hunt Music” album, but I like all the versions as well as full bruntal Nugety The electronics and recordings on his newer albums are much better than double live gonzo
Bison is the scientific word for buffalo . Bison crap has nutrients for the " special crops " you speak of ... This is the music I was raised one . I reacted just the same
As a man of 57, I take extreme delight in watching this young man, and young lady smiling the same way I did the first time I heard the motor city madman do this song! There is hope for our musically for our younger generation! You both have just proved it! Thanks!

You aint lyin my bro! 59 here, still listen to this shit daily!! My son loves uncle Ted too!
As a teenager growing up in the mid to late 70's. Had some great rockers. Ted was one of the best back then.
Great guitarists and showman
Yes, uncle Ted!!! Seen him 4 times and I love him! Since I was about 12 years old and start listening the double live Gonzo album I was hooked!!!
You wanna talk about an entertainer. Saw him in 76 or 77. What a night.
I saw Ted Nugent numerous times but the time he did the TEXXAS JAM WAS INCREDIBLE !!!!! Man ...I miss those days . PK
Nugent is a Badass on so many levels he is an American Icon & Legend to millions! !!!
@The Wolf HunterZ, try doing a reaction to Ted's song "Hibernation" off that same Double Live Gonzo album. It's an instrumental, but what Ted does with that big Gibson Byrdland guitar in the song is incredible. I double dog dare you!!
Nobody has ever tried to cover it. I doubt Ted can play it anymore. Its incredible.
Motor City Madman for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The motor city MADMAN!!!!
My favorite song off of my favorite live albums from one of my favorite guitarists Uncle Ted. Discovered this album at 15 in 1978 and was hooked after that.
That's our Michigan Homeboy, The Motor City Madman 🤘
Dayyymn! It's been a while since I've heard this one from The Motor City Madman. He always left it all out on the stage. He was fun to see live for sure.
Take care ✌
Good old fashioned rock n roll!! Don't get any better than this. I love it!!!
I’ve seen Uncle Ted 8 times in concert met him and shot bow with him. Great down to Earth man.
Me too! Exactly the same! Saw him 8 times and went bow hunting with him on the Apache Reservation in Arizona. (Hunting Javelina)
He won't bend a Knee for them. His choice.
You should also listen to hibernation off the same album,I saw that concert in 1978 was incredible 🤘
Double live Gonzo is the best live album I own, remember this is from the 70s. Ted NUGENT is a guitar wizard. You need to listen to the whole album it is great.
It's the best.
Ted's greatest song alone with 'Stranglehold'. Phenomenal!
Ted Nugent is the one playing guitar and singing
That's my Uncle Ted you're talking about😎
This version , this concert , best. Check out Wang Dang Sweet Poontang from this one. Badass. Uncle Ted is the absolute master of guitar feedback on the amps.
This is Uncle Ted at his ragin best. He is a great guitarist and this band, and this album is just legendary.
I warped this record on my turntable back in the day.
Yes, it is Uncle Ted playing all those awesome guitar riffs
Loved that album in the 70s! Great guitarplaying.
You played the best version, the one from his live album. Great riff
A lot of people have never heard the album Tooth, Fang and Claw version.
I’ve seen Ted 14 times since 1982, he puts on a great show. You really need to see this song live! Just take your ear plugs. Ted has two volumes, blow your face off and, well, blow your face off..lol liked your reaction to this song.
"Hibernation" off the same album is a trip.
The Motor City Madman at his finest ! This album is Icconnic and epic !
The Motorcity Madman was a bundle of electrified heat dressed only in loincloth swinging back-and-forth across the stage on his Tarzan swing 😎🎸
Oh yes could lay down the wicked sound at 200% volume every night & uncle Ted is still cranking the axe toady✌😎 There will never be another one like him ☺

He used to do New Years Eve every year in Detroit. Called the Whiplash Bash enters on a Buffalo, swinging on a rope in a loin cloth and his guitar man must see every year. God miss those concerts. Seen him at least 10 times so much talent.
First saw Ted in June of '81 in Chattanooga, Tn.1. I was 14.
Yep that person playing guitar is Ted. He's awesome. The Buffalo that he is talking about are bison.
Seen him in 1999 I believe . He was in Greenville Sc. Along with Kiss and warrant. It was an amazing fun show!!
Yes we were pretty wild back in the 70's.
I did not know you guys reacted to this one 😂 I'm really going to lose it AGAIN 😂 The Motor City Mad Man !
My favorite Ted Nugent song.
i attended this concert in ritchfield , oh i can still remember most of this as i kept it as sober as possible..

This album was my jam in high school. Let's hear it for all that Nashville......cancelled. This, Stormtrooper and of course Stranglehold are the highlights.
Uncle Ted can play that guitar 🎸 awesome cool song, party jam yeah in high school 🏫 🤘😆🤘🎸
Ted Nugent both sang and played the guitar. He also jumped off the tower of speakers onstage. At least he did when I saw him back in 76 or 77. Can't remember which. I do know I was in HS soooooo

I've never heard this song before, but I really enjoyed it.
Saw Nugent with Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet in "84" and what a show it was...
I remember back in 1978 this song was played silly amount of times along with George throughgood at backyard kegger party's with so much pot smoke you could hardly see the person standing next to you!!! 🤪 No cops ever came to bust the party up! Ted Nugent Double Live Gonzo is an absolutely epic Kick Ass album!
Gotta do "Fred Bear"

Also submitted for reference see the reality series "Turquoise Fever",for reference to "White Buffalo"...
This was when Ted ruled the universe this song back when it was the Amboy Dukes hibernation another oldie you guys are awesome
You should’ve heard it on an 8-Track stereo in a muscle car ( common in the seventies). Lots of people hate Ted...but he can play the God Damned guitar.
Only reason they hate him is he speaks the truth.
Check out Just what the Dr ordeeed, Out of control or Dog eat dog by Nugent also. He was probably the foremost rock guitarist of that post 60 era during the 70's. Don't care if he hunt of fish however Nugent are a nutter from what i have seen in interviews as a person, not to shadow his music.
You cats always crush it.
Uncle Ted The Lead Vocal And Nobody Plays The Birdland Guitar Like He Does !!!
Hibernation same album, great, great guitar 😊
Not sure how old I was when this came out… 15-16 yrs old maybe…. This was my favorite album… I learned best I could how to play theses songs …you can try and play these songs… maybe do half ass.. but there are so many intricacies ..
CAT SCRATCH FEVER IN THE CAR...THE JAM!
One of the great live albums from the 70s, as much as i wholly disagree with his politics, can't take this album away from him.
Stranglehold from this live album is also worth a listen.
I believe Derrick St. Holm is on vocals.
Fireworks were a staple of 70"s Arena Rock!
look it up Great White Buffalo meaning meaning. Holy Shit
Its called great white buffalo but he is singing about the american bison
Ted is AWESOME, I'm with the other guys, do Stranglehold from that live album. Ted thought rock n roll should be fun so that's the way he did it, wild guitar solos, stage antics and cray songs like "The Flying Lip Lock" or "My Love is Like a Tire Iron.

Derrick StHolmes is the vocalist for this song.
BTW Bison meat is delicious.
Ted sings this, not Derek..
To say Ted Nugent can play is a bit of an understatement. Ted's always been a big time environmentalist and an staunch conservative--love him. Hope you don't cancel him now.
Double Live Gonzo is one amazing album
mom took me to see Ted mid 70s i was 8 , and i have been playing guitar ever since . and mom took picks ..lol..
Check out Hear N’ Aid- We’re Stars. It’s like the 80s Metal version of We Are The World!
There was a LOT of Aqua Net in the studio that day.
I'm surprised they could breathe. Oh the humanity.
Ted may have a few screws loose but he is a rock legend and will always be.
Motor City Madman from Double Live Gonzo.
Hey Suzi Q n Travis thanks for some Motor City Madman .
I saw this tour in '77, Ted rocks. By the way Bison and Buffalo are the same
What can you say about the legendary motor city Madman.
Does anyone have any more nicknames than Ted Nugent?
Motor City Madman.
Uncle Ted.
Theodore Nugent.
I seem to be getting old and forgetting some of them can anyone else remember more?
Check out the songs “hey baby” or “ free-for-all” by Ted Nugent
(A7X) God hates us - live at Rock am Ring
great album
You have to play "Stranglehold" by Ted . Please
^^This times 10^^
You really do need to hear Stranglehold. I'm pretty sure it will make your playlist. It's been on my let's get it on playlist for a long time.
Only the 'Live Gonzo' version of 'Stranglehold'. studio version as with most of his studio stuff is fucking limp.
Stranglehold is a must, has got to be a live early show to see the wild man at his best.
Your original thrash, baby...
You can't grill it until you kill it!
The best version of this song is on his “Hunt Music” album, but I like all the versions as well as full bruntal Nugety
The electronics and recordings on his newer albums are much better than double live gonzo
Excellent choice. You guys may not know this, but Ted's guitar is guaranteed to blow the balls off a charging rhino.
Yes; at how many paces...I forgot.
@@jamescourtney2318 I think it was 50 paces, but not exactly sure myself. Unlike Ted, I didn't refrain from drugs back then so it's a little fuzzy.
@@jamescourtney2318 60 paces!
Man this brings me back to HS yo . Still great shit 👌
Stormtroopin from double live gonzo
Nugent rocks 🤘😎🤙
Bison is the scientific word for buffalo .
Bison crap has nutrients for the " special crops " you speak of ... This is the music I was raised one . I reacted just the same
Seen ted 4 times once when he headlined and AC/DC and cheap trick we’re his warm up bands
You need to do Fred Bear!
Great as song about his dad!
