I met Theodore Anthony Nugent, Terrible Ted, The Detroit Madman, The Motor City Mad Man, The Nuge, The Whackmaster, Uncle Ted... back stage at the L.A. Colosseum in 1979 after his show incredible performance of "Stranglehold". I shook both hands at the same time. He signed my shirt sleeve and it hangs in my music room. He is a One Of A Kind individual/performer for sure.
I went to several Willie Nelson Picnics (July 4th's) following the Grateful Dead, and the Amboy Dukes were there one year at the Royals Baseball Stadium. Ted played SO LOUD that residences across the Highway complained. I've suggested Hibernation several times but figured @JMBOYTV thought it was either too long or too loud to play, glad he finally got around to it. Ted has done so much for Texas, Guns & Hunting, Against Drub Abuse, etc.!!!
@@dabassmann~ Sandi using my sons phone mine glitchin, I used to drive to Toledo , Ohio to c the Amboy Dukes , Ted blasted “ Stranglehold “ & “ Cat Scratch Fever “ club was the LaFaBa. Me & my friends packed in my 62’ Chevy Impala. Awesome concert 🎵 total mad man ❤
Thanks for the reaction!! The "Motor City Madman " is just a bad man!! He gets left out of the best guitarist conversation, but he certainly belongs there.
My parents were super into disco in the late 70’s. Thank the Lord for screaming terrible Ted Nugent! Have saved that era for me 🤩🤩🤩 Wango Tango is a personal favorite 😅😂🤣😅
Ted and Frank Zappa are the two most underrated guitar players ever, I never got to see Frank but I did see Ted two times, I saw him last year at Billy Bobs in Funky Town Texas he was 75 and rocked like he did when he was 20.
Master of feedback, hell yeah uncle Ted. I am 65 yrs old from Detroit seen him with Amboy Dukes but this is pure Ted. Only controversy then was his show loud enough
It's so refreshing to see someone do a video/music review without everyone pausing every 20 seconds and pointing out things etc. Wait til it's over than comment! Very cool job man! ❤️🙏
The big difference... Santana at Woodstock-Tripping on psychedelic drugs during his show. Ted- never touches drugs or alcohol. He's on a "Natural High" while on stage, as he said.
@@AliasMark69 BECAUSE HE'S A RACIST WHITE SUPREMIST.... THE RIGHT WILL SAY ITS HIS POLITICAL VIEWS.... OK... HIS VIEWS ARE RACIST AND AND HE'S A WHITE SUPREMIST.
When you know your instrument like he does, you can make it sing like he does. Semi-Hollow Body with Humbucker Pick-Ups creates the reverb vibrations he knows how to manipulate....Get close to the amp sound vibrates the strings even more, sound picked up with microphone overhead creates a sound loop he controls. Cool
I would suggest Wang Dang Sweet Poontang off the Double Live Gonzo album or The Great White Buffalo off the same album. These are a cpl. Of his best live performances! You will love these cuts I promise.
I saw Ted & his band, Iron Maiden, Loverboy and Foreigner in the early 1980’s (can’t remember the exact year now, old) at Rich Stadium 🏟️ (Buffalo Bills Stadium). Was there mainly for Loverboy but all of them were great 👩🏻🏫👵🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰‼️ The thing I remember mostly about Ted was that he wore skintight white pants and they looked great on him 😻‼️ Iron Maiden, the huge skeletal creature 😱‼️ Foreigner, they sounded the same in person as their albums 👏🏻🥰‼️ Loverboy, Mike wore his red leather pants 😻‼️
Drummer provides the beat/tempo, Bass player adds the thump rhythm, Back up guitarist adds the chord changes (Bored) While Ted does his thing on Lead Guitar. The basic 4 piece Rock Band setup used by countless bands.
Thank you for that, one of my most favourite songs, but I've never seen the live version only the album version on double live gonzo, probably one of the most underrated guitar players.
I love your kind of reactions where we can see the real-time reaction first and then you comment without breaking the songs! Good job man! A personal suggestion: Just react to Jethro Tull- Bouree (Live at AVO session 2008) and your ears will thank you forever!
His solo's were all incredible but when he did this in concert live it was really crazy. He quit doing it after he had so many other songs to play. But I did get to see hiim do this twice.
This started out as a "Warm Up" practice deal. Later he started using it in shows. He is one of the best guitar players ever but will never earn awards or even nominations. He has a really serious case of "No self control or just being Terrible Ted". This song could be the best ever to learn if you were serious about loud electric guitar or electric guitar in general. Everything counts when you are doing feedback like that. Where you stand, which way you point the guitar, everything matters. I've seen him on tour since the 70's when he used to do this in concert. "The Great White Buffalo" "or "Strangehold" are good examples. He is seriously anti drug and seems to piss off everyone. But OMG.. What a guitar player. Plus selling millions of albums and singles, the man was a touring machine.

Sad day for Ted last week. His pooch passed 😢
@@bugvswindshield Yes, saw that.
Love me some Amboy Dukes. These guys rock!

The intro to the Double Live Gonzo is pretty good.... "you see this guitar, this here guitar, right here"
Even his Gibson Byrdland Guitar is a true legend.

Great performance, Ted rocks! Next, check out Paralyzed from his State Of Shock album, released in 79! ✌️
I've heard this song at least a thousand times and It gets better every time 👍🤘
I am craving a Ted Nugent concert. I been rocking to Uncle Ted since 1976. Awesome in concert!
Probably one of Ted's best and most underrated songs. No sleeping in Hibernation....Nuff Said
Master of feedback, hell yeah uncle Ted. I am 65 yrs old from Detroit seen him with Amboy Dukes but this is pure Ted. Only controversy then was his show loud enough
Uncle Ted can definitely Awaken one from Hibernation dude is a Legit Bonafide American Legend !!!
The Nuge is Loved by MILLIONS of Americans
Master of feedback. Uncle Ted is the man saw him 8 times in concert met him several times and shot bow with him at his store in Jackson Michigan.

I thought I was the only one who LOVES this song. Congratulations on finding the real stuff. This is a great cruising tune.🤙
Nope....one of my absolute favorites.
The master of the Gibson byrdland feedback love it
Ted always makes happy music. Great to hear while cruising down the highway. Gotta just smile and shake your head at his guitar playing greatness.
A Late Night Classic Rock radio standard back in the day.
Man is a TRUE patriot, lives America. Great White Buffalo and Below the Belt.
😂
Amboy Dukes on that last one, like that tune. Same album I would pick Rot Gut and Pony Express.
Great White Buffalo is one of my absolute favorite songs.
The greatest ROCKER OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!
Yours is the only reaction to this song I could find, THANKS ! BTW, the studio version is cleaner.

Great white buffalo live
Thanks for this selection. Fun to watch Ted get down.
I remember when cat scratch feaver came out, I was 8 years old.

As many times that I’ve listened to this turned up to 11 I’m surprised I still have any hearing.
The King of Feedback
This song was Early Ted from the Amboy Dukes era. He gets a little jazzy here, like semi prog-rock-ish.
Seen Ted back in the late 70s. He was amazing
Ted is a fantastic musician, and his political outlook is incredible.
A True American Patriot.
😂
From the final Amboy Dukes album "Tooth, Fang & Claw" - Rob Grange carried over to Ted's solo band
Uncle Ted before he achieved Uncle status ! You always got your $’s worth ! 😮

Ted Nugent IS the greatest guitarist ever.
He most of it with his eyes closed.
Gotta react to live it up by Ted. Or paralyzed.
Tell me this dude can’t play the guitar
