Google extensions dépends on what you are doing, i added some for dev code but they tend t get troubles…right click on normal mouse? Apple mouse don’t have right click but they are normal ahah it’s like clicking on control key with your left hand nothing really strange.
I have tried to use safari but am a Chrome user through and through. Especially when having to switch back to a Windows computer for work. I use the Bitwarden password
manger and it has a very good Chrome extension. Keep up the great content. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Rosetta should automatically be installed on your computer. You shouldn't have had to worry about installing it or how to install it.
So great to hear that Spotify is working now fine. Here waiting for my green iMac too to arrive next week and waiting for installing Spotify too. Fingers crossed my iMac and Spotify get along 😜

Hi Sophie, I'm glad I found your channel, I'm enjoying all your content including the meeting celebrities experiences and I absolutely love your presentation style. I have almost picked up an M1 iMac a couple of times now.., I have to keep on saying to myself...., 'No Paul, you have enough computers at home already'.., 😂 probably only a matter of time until I come home with one, maybe purple. The specs I want, 8core GPU, 256 GB SSD and 16GB ram is $2499 here in Australian dollars here, I may have to stop buying Lego for my kids for a while😂.My current 'daily driver' is a very old 2008 iMac, it runs a newish version of Mac OS thanks to the Dosdude patcher and still gets the job done although often the processor is at 100% just playing 1080P UA-cam. Keep it up Sophie.

Hey Sophie, do you think that the 24 inch imac is easy enough to adjust to if you're used to bigger (27") screens?
Hi Carson! Definitely. I’d been using the 27” since summer last year and I adjusted to the 24” in a few days. I still probably prefer larger screens overall, but the 24” is a really good size for everyday use and it didn’t take long to adjust. Hope that helps!

Hey Sophie, what about using Spotify in the browser? Cheers!
Spotify in the browser works well! I just prefer the app version 😅 but if you enjoy the browser version then that works just fine!
To purify digital content on my iMac I've started with removing Chrome and Google, and using Brave and DuckDuckGo. It keeps my content and search safe and not spied on.
Interesting your issues with Spotify, mine has never crashed so far, but maybe it's the screen saver, mine is set for 20 mins, I'm going to try a different time to see if I can replicate the crash. Does it happen when you leave Spotify playing or just open?
Just when I leave it open! I think I had my screensaver timeout on 20 minutes when I was experiencing the issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify like 5 times and now it seems to be behaving so I’m not sure why it wasn’t working then but working now!

If you need something to travel with, then MacBook. If you just need it for home use, then iMac. BUT there might be a new MacBook coming later this year so it might be worth holding out to see what they release come September/October…
I like your more informal presentation style. It’s not 100% slick smooth - which is a good thing. It’s more real life and less intimidating than some other presenters, who are waaay too fast and over technical.

I’ve ordered an M1 Mac arriving mid August, so have been binge watching all the UA-cam videos I can find. I’m a 64 year old ‘silver surfer’, but I like new tech and pretty much keep up to date. I think it is important for informative videos to be fun and lively as well as technical - which yours definitely is. Thanks again 👍

have a question to ask can you delete stock app on the iMac computer ?? I can't delete it
There isn’t an easy way to uninstall the in-built apps but I believe there’s a complicated way to do it using something called Terminal. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it because I like to play on the safe side 😂 but if you google it then you’ll find more info about it. Hope that helps!
How did you download google chrome and Spotify? When I go into the app to download these it doesn't let me.
Search for them using Google on Safari e.g. 'Google Chrome mac download' and 'Spotify mac download' and you can download them from the websites 😌

Hi Fee! I prefer the interface of Spotify and think it looks better, aesthetically speaking. I also think because I’ve used it for so long, I’m more comfortable with it, whereas with Apple Music I still need to work my way around it and it takes me longer to find things!
I am unable to change my Desktop picture... the change picture checkbox is not responsive.. am i missing something?
Are you able to locate the file in your finder, then right click on the file and select ‘set desktop picture’?
@@sophiedodsworth Thank you so much for your reply, i got it sorted out. For some reason when you choose certain desktop pictures the 'change picture' check box and various functions become unavailable. The problem is solved by first choosing a default desktop picture, then you can change or randomize desktop pics. :-)

I don't care about the bezel, its colors, weight or width! It's on my desk and that's where it'll stay. The real issue is IT DOESN’T HAVE PORTS for my laser printer, my ethernet connection, my 2.0 hubport or all my usb 2.0 flashdrives. I want to be able to easily transfer pages, music, photos, movies etc. and without any immediately utilizable ports, I can't do anything. Who knew that I would be denied something so essential. What am I supposed to do?
Have you considered buying the fully upgraded iMac that one has all the bells and whistles possible and crazy amount of storage. There are four ports which isn’t a lot but it’s better than only two and if you need more ports you could buy an external port dock so that way you have more ports if you need them.

Sorry, but Apple Music is a far superior service. Spotify to this day looks like a 10-year-old designed it.
