🙄 What was Nissan thinking?? My Armada is mega simple - the pathfinder you need to be a surgeon to change the bulb.
Big time appreciative for you taking the time to make the video. Just changed the bulbs on my "new to me," 32k miles 2015 Pathfinder Platinum. I'm comfortable taking panels off on vehicles, but seeing where those darn tabs are before u do it the first time is definitely helpful. Thanks again!! Oh yeah, I'm loving my Pathy!!!!
Thank you! It went almost exactly like you said on my 2014 pathfinder. I had an extremely hard time getting my very large hands into the space where the bulb holder was, but, judicious use of water pump and needle nose pliers solved that problem. Also, I didn’t take the panel completely off, so, that might be a time savings for some people. Can you believe a highway patrolman stopped me just for this one thing? But, he was extremely courteous and I appreciated that he was working on Christmas Eve. Thanks again for a great video and a great help!

Just wanted to say thanks, I used this video as a guide to swap out my license plate bulbs, but for another similarly-sized Nissan model, Terra. Saw how similar the Pathfinder's rear door trim was in your vid and figured giving it a go.
General steps are 💯 same: remove fasteners, unclip from top going along the sides (I used a cheap car trim removal toolkit), unclip the hand grip thingy, then a good tap from the top part dislodges the whole thing. Awesome video guide overall, clear and easy to follow. Cheers

Thanks for this video! One of the bulbs went out and I decided to put in LEDs. Only issue was turning the lights in place. My hands didn’t fit so well so it was a pain getting them on and off. But other than that with your instructions it was really quick. Thanks again

I just upgraded my 2018 by watching Nexus's videos. Really easy except the license plate ones which are a bit tricky, nothing to be worried about if you are careful with the tabs by not pulling too hard and snapping them. ua-cam.com/channels/rvA5FlcSvwU-fH32QnNijQ.html
Thank you for this great tutorial and many others. I just finished replacing the license plate lights with the same LED lights that you used. The lights are really bright but the con side of it is that it is impossible to set/adjust the bright sides to shine directly on the license plate.

Just replaced these on my 2015 pathfinder but I can’t get them to come on now? I even put dielectric grease on the bulbs, but that didn’t work either.

When took my PF for maintenance at the dealership, they quoted me $31+tax for each for a total of about $65 for two.

You can change the dome light to LED, but you can't change the map light as they are factory surface mount LEDs on a circuit board. ua-cam.com/video/oUckxvRLA2I/v-deo.html

@@onexnine I have not tried it but I pulled the overhead console down and saw a small circuit board that is plastic welded to the console. At the end of the day, anything is possible including swapping out led on a board, but for me, that might be something I will do at a later date.

I have a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum and I need to adjust the right passenger headlight bulb. It's aiming to the right and not straight ahead, do you have any idea of how I can reallign the headlight?
These headlights don't have adjustments for right or left, only up & down. If you beam pattern is off to a side, did you incur any damage to your front end for this to happen?
@@dial2fast yes I did have a minor Collision on the passenger drivers side, will I need to replace the headlight assembly?
@@indigomann6264 If the headlight mounting frame is bent, then you need to fix that. If the headlight assembly is damaged, then replace that.

I was needing to change the hatch release button, the housing where the bulbs are, can you gain access to that this same way

Holy, wish they just made it accessible from the exterior, like my manual 2012 hatchback versa, which doesnt even require you to open the trunk whatsoever. Seems like Nissan wants people to make trips to their local mechanic lol

Man, that's a lot of work just to replace a license plate light bulb... You sure you couldnt do it by unscrewing the light receptacle from the outside.? Your lights look like they have screw on either end...Thats what i had to do when i did it for my tucson.
For Nissan vehicles, this is pretty much the normal procedure. Many of the Honda, you can access from the outside by removing the lens. It all depends on the design.
Did it on my 2014 Pathfinder took me like 15 minutes tops ... only bad thing about it I broke the grab handle at the bottom edge of the Tailgate (cheap plastic)
Unfortunately it’s not that easy even for Infiniti QX60. Gotta undo the whole thing, but honestly, it takes about 5 mins or less. I did it and it didn’t take that long at all. It seems a lot, but it’s really not in the end.
Silly amount of work to replace these lamps. Poor design by Nissan. I'm not looking forward to this. Inspection due soon.
