I was at the finals in 1976 and 1977; we were about to leave England and had our going away BBQ that day so we watched this on television. The moment we saw Barry Lee was on the pole, my mom said we might as well leave for the BBQ. She was right.
Yep 70's and 80's hot rods were superb and there were some very great drivers out there.
