You asked for a name? How about "Obsolete trashbox"?! :D
Anything that can't hit 0.1% lows over 240fps in quake champions is trash. Even my own Ryzen 5 5600X. It's horrible in unholy trinity against quake pros on deep embrace. Even the sound starts to stutter eventually.
I learned the hard way to stop looking at average frame rates. It's utterly trash to evaluate performance.

@@ibobeko4309 Seriously? A 140W CPU is a dealbreaker? I guess if you are on an extreme budget, it could be some kind of concern. Personally, I am just an Intel HEDT enthusiast, so I have an X58 rig as my HTPC, an X99 utility rig for general usage, and an X299 rig as my main. I'm missing X79 from a collector's standpoint to round out the lineup, but I will fill that in when time and good deals permit. I probably won't ever get a Xeon W-3175 rig to complete the Intel HEDT collection, but I like the classic HEDT line because it is way more interesting than Ryzen to play with, especially for overclocking. Maybe get yourself a Celeron or Sempron rig of some kind, if wattage is your main concern.

I'd rather have nice OCing headroom with ten cores than have to run 18 cores more slowly. An i9-9900X is a perfect all-around chip for any task. I mean, I'm not living under a bridge eating dry Ramen noodles, so the wattage doesn't really matter at all to me. You might as well tell a muscle car enthusiast that their classic Corvette is crap because they could drive a more efficient Ford Fiesta, or tell a Great Dane owner that their dog is crap since they could get a more efficient Chihuahua. It's a silly argument to make, since they are just different things for different preferences. Great Danes, classic Corvettes, and the i7 5960X are all terrific and a lot of fun.

I got my Palit 3060ti about a month ago for like $220 locally. The seller has a test bench and a few popular testing apps like Furmark, Unigine Valley, and Kombustor (extremely useful) so you can pick whatever model (usually higher end model have a markup for like $20-50 compare to the more common and cheap one) you want from the seller stockpile (all ex-mining, with okay/ready-to-use exterior cleaning, no repaste or something because losing the void sticker might void your warranty as it still has warranty left from the original distributor).
That DDR5 kit is probably a Micron-rebranded, it is looks like Micron chips. Also Micron currently have the best DRAM chip price out there because they already switched to 14nm, die size is smaller, so they can make out more chip from a wafer. Performance might not be the best (Micron kit usually cheap and loose timing and it take more voltage to do what Hynix and Samsung can do), but they are cheap af.

Don't forget the CPUs, most people are watching the GPUs being dumped by miners, but they've also dumped a metric ton of CPUs over the past few months, mostly garbage, but there's also a lot of AMD Zen3. If you're looking for a budget solution to get you through to a new build, you can grab them pretty cheap, just make sure to inspect the pins when you get them. 3600 (both the standard and X variant) were obviously a favorite for miners because of the cheap combo deals that were on Amazon and Newegg (gee I wonder why). A little dated, sure, but if we're talking used, yeah we're not caring about that too much. They're still decent chips, long as you're not pairing it with like a 3070 or above, any bottlenecking in gaming should be minimal or non-existent.

I seriously hope common folks are not willing to buy GPUs for the new Nvidia pricing, thereby forcing Nvidia to lower the prices extensively. If the majority of miners are about to get rid of their stock of used RTX 3080 cards by the end of the year, and if we assume that there's an astronomic supply of used RTX 3080 cards going to flood the marked, $400 may not be that unreasonable? @@GAG091186 Why are you and the "common folk" complaining about Nvidia pricing on their higher model GPU's when you and the "common folk" are not able to afford it and these cards shouldn't be on you all radar? Nvidia have new/old Generations of their lower tier and mid tier GPU's for the "common folk" to choose from. Heck, the custom PC market isn't for the "common folk".
Where have you heard about miners getting rid of their 3080's? Miners are removing their older GPU's off of their mining rigs and keeping their newer cards until the next crypto to mine. It's a bad business decision for a miner to offload their investment when the future is unclear at this moment.
From what's happening in our economy, the wars, the slow down in manufacturing, and the inflation/recession/possibly depression it would be foolish for miners to get rid of their cards and sell their 3080's for cheap to possibly be back at square one buying those same GPU's in the used market for more if the crypto market decides to boom again.
Manufacturing are not producing large orders, retailers are holding back product, and people are not spending like they were last year regardless if these items are on the used market.
These 3000 series cards are not going anywhere no time soon. Why do you think Nvidia is updating their 3060/3060 Ti and most likely their 3070? Why do you think that there's hardly any new 4090's in stock at retailers?

I noticed that some ebay listing for graphics from Japan are actually from sites like Mercari, PayPay Flea Market (Yahoo Shopping) and HardOFF (A thrift store, basically) and they simply take the images from those sites and post it on ebay and also upsell them for higher.
For example, I found a 3070ti from HardOFF at 99,000 jpy (around 1,060AUD) and I searched the title of the listing on HardOFF on Ebay and found duplicate copies of the SAME photo from HardOFF but at a higher price (2,000AUD, that's DOUBLE the price!) than the initial price on HardOFF.

I was told a few of them have bad fans but the seller lost track of which ones they were. I'm testing each one before I sell it. How hard is it to change a fan out on a RTX 3060 FE? Total cost of all of the cards was $10,500 but I traded him a 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa, Helmet. for $5,800 toward my balance. I had to pay around $4,800 out of pocket. Had it been spring or early summer, I wouldn't have bought them as PC usage and demand sinks in warmer weather. Sold 10 in about 6 days anywhere from 225 to 250 each. Hope to profit around $4000+ once they are all sold. What are used RTX 3060s going for in your country. I am not interested at all in getting stuck with these so I think $225 to 250 is a price that will help me sell them quickly. To be honest, I am not getting as much interest as I thought I would.

I'm hoping Spring-Summer 2023 (at the earliest at least) I could easily get something good to upgrade from my GTX 1070 Strix such as a RTX 2070 Super/2080 or RX 6600 XT, maybe even a RTX 3060 Ti if lucky enough for $250 Canadian (looking at google currently for exchange rate, would be like 27016 Yen) + up to $25 Canadian (like 2701 Yen) shipping from wherever so $275 Canadian (like 29712 Yen) shipped to match what I paid for my 1070 Strix at the end of September/Start of October 2020. Assuming a 20% price drop between now and then (assuming no major exchange rate changes to stay roughly the same) looking at current prices would be like $312.50 Canadian (like 33770 Yen, or in USD like $229) - 20% = $250 Canadian (29712 Yen, or like 183 USD).

So I have a choice to make. Neighbour of mine has a Ryzen 9 5950x for $650 canadian or I could buy a Ryzen 7 5800x3d new for $475. Which one for my next build?

Here in Brazil my cousin got an used RX 6700XT for 2000 BRL (376 usd), which is less than 1/4th of what it cost new a year ago (and cheaper than a brand new 3060 right now). Not to mention it was in surprisingly pristine condition, and the owner bought it 6 months ago so it's not even old.

In Poland you can get a used RX 6600 XT for 200 USD, no warranty, but RTX 3060 start at 300 USD

I loved to go to Akihabara... an electronics paradise.... one day maybe I'll be there again.... only a few hours away from where I live, Thailand... I checked the P55 motherboard, but the specs said that this motherboard only supports DDR3 RAM, so what do you do with that DDR5???

There are like a million 1060s and 580s suddenly materialising into every second hand market and stores being sold for less than 80$.
Ofc these were probably mining cards.
But I think they are fine.

Modern mining isn’t very hard on the cards so they’re great. I was a bit bummed to realize that my rx 570 8gb was now worth

These cards are old at this point and should be treated as such.

visible rust on aluminum fins and copper alloys thou?

@@ertai222 realistically thou i dknt think its rust. probably food or environmental splatter from sitting in an open air mining rig on a shelf in a moist attic or something.
When aluminum alloy rusts its usually maintains its color while copper alloys lose their shine.

I live in sweden, sadly swedes did not get the memo that used gpu's don't sell for retail price. Altho they are starting to take notice, prices are decreasing finally. but not even close to 208$

Yeah prices in UK are still over the top. People paying what would be considered overpriced for a new card let alone a second hand GPU. People have no sense. They are spending upwards of £800-£1000 on a used GPU. That still have useless drivers.

Man I miss akihabara, can't wait to get back. Buy More is awesome for new parts, got a low profile 1050ti there for about £70 a few years back (2018 iirc) , it's still going strong in my htpc.

Really looking forward to another video on the x99 platform. It has really come down in price recently.
Would be interesting to know how it performs next to some modern budget cpus like the 12400f and also some contemporary cpus like the 4790k and 6700k.

Sadly nothing like that here in Vancouver Canada, but used prices have started to drop a bit. I've seen 3080's for as low as $640 used
