I remember seeing this when I was six, same time I was excited to see the movie. This was my ultimate favorite childhood movie. Michael Keaton is the best Batman ever, Danny DeVito is the best Penguin of all time, and Michelle Pffiefer is the best Catwoman.
This is my favorite Batman movie, everything from the story line, Michael Keaton's voice, the Batman costume and Gotham City. Its definitely the best! ^_^
Edruezzi The Joker attacks Gotham. Now we have to lie to the public to cover up the damage. Seriously, The Dark Knight is a great film, but the ending always struck me as very un-Batman. Hiding the fact that Harvey Dent went on a psychotic murdering rampage just so the public can stay in the dillusion that he was the white knight hero of Gotham makes no sense from Batman's perspective. Batman would be like: This is horrible, but we have to accept the truth. Not be like some corrupt politician and lie to the public. As if the people of Gotham City are a single entity that can go nuts at the flip of a switch, and not millions of individuals who can think for themselves. In every other reality when Harvey Dent became the villain Two-Face, Gotham City didn't collectively loose their minds.
I remember watching this with my family a week before the movie came out. Unless you lived during this time you have no clue how big Batman Returns was. Warner Bros. had been hyping this movie for months at this point with VHS copies of the trailers running in every electronics department in every Wal-Mart in America for months! I remember once a week going to walmart with my mom walking by the TV set with the Batman Returns trailer looped over and over. This special was a primetime special too and we were pretty excited to watch it. Good times. Movies no longer are like that....actual cultural events.
I remember waiting on this coming out and when it did over in America I was on holiday with my family I was turning 8 years old in Florida and wanting to go see this got to the cinema and it was a 15 film rating I was broken hearted wasn’t fair what so ever lol still one of my top movies

As works of art this film and the first one are actually better than the pompous Nolan films.
Quick. Try to summarize the plot of the Dark Knight in two sentences.

Spot on! Nolan really put himself into a weird corner with that ending, and didn't really get out of it at all during Rises.

Where are the behind the scenes for the fight scenes?

That BBC 1 logo is not in the least bit dated for something over 20 years old
Frank Reynolds was the Penguin
