Oh and for anyone who is thinking about using this, it looks awesome on eevee and not complex scenes. But procedural materials are expensive and take longer to render 150% longer or so. If you notice you're getting bogged down, you may want to use something like substance or 3d coat to paint a baked out dirt texture instead.
I have been following your videos for a while and they are very brilliant and helpful so thank you. I was wondering if there is a similar way to make blood stains and wounds on character ? Maybe a subject for a separate video perhaps ? Anyway thank you so much.
Hmmmm. I will also look into this. Depending on what your going for, I could see someone literally just taking the brown on the color ramp and changing it to red for atleast a scraped effect, but I will dive deeper into this to see if I can achieve more 😬 and also, thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind comment :)
Nice question :) This is filmed and recorded using standard Eevee, however I've been wanting to try the SSGI version for a while now.... But completely forgot about it 😬 Glad someone commented about it!
I recently started to dive deeper into eevee, cause Blender can't utilize my rx570 when cycles. Eevee is crazy fast and it can actually use my gpu. If you set up it properly it looks fantastic. Thanks for the tutorial!
I feel the exact same way. If Eevee can be mastered (although I would not call myself a master by any means), I truly believe you can achieve results just as good as cycles for far less pc power. It's definitely up to personal opinion, but that is mine 😁
@@hobbyhunt6347 6 light sources, volumentic fog and a bunch of other effects rendering in less than a second lol. Cycles would take me 40 minutes(no joke) Even tho I have 24 thread cpu. I guess cycles would be much faster with gpu, but that's my experience. Eevee is so fast, that you can easilly tweak things in viewport render in real time.
@@jony_tough exactly, the tender time is MIND blowing once you figure out your settings! Cycles does look great with less effort, but Eevee can look nearly just as good with more effort, and for a fraction of the render time! Glad to see you delving in so deep :)
Hey there, I have a technical problem with the cloth sim, is there a way to attach cloth to a rigid body object, then have that cloth influence the object?
For clarification just so I can help as much as possible, are you trying to have the cloth influence the object, or the object influence the cloth? If I'm understanding correctly, one method I've used in the past is vertex PIN groups. Although I've mainly used this for character animation, it seems as though it may give a similar effect as to what you are trying to achieve. Here is a video that may help (most likely you can skip past the weight painting explanations) 😬. It's most likely slight different than what your doing, but it explains vertex PIN groups. Hope it helps in some way, and let me know if it doesn't 👍 ua-cam.com/video/jCjaCSpd2GM/v-deo.html

great, really hanmers home the grime look! And, is that my add-on you have there?! Oh man, thank you for the support and I hope you're enjoying it! 😊
Yes it is indeed :) I had planned on showing it off a little more in my next cloth sim video 😁 it's been great!
@hobbyhunt6347 cool! Really happy that you like it and feel free to show it off as much as you like 😁😉
omg❤so great!thanks
Absolutely no problem 😁 and thank YOU for taking the time to leave a comment ❤️

Very nice, she looks good and so does your scene setup, good lighting. Are you using 3.6 SSGI with eevee? or is it normal eevee?
