It has practiced imperialism nof only by wars and sanctions but by gobbling up the South's natural agricultural and cultural resources. Its enormous economic domination stifles many attempts of developing countries to create a viable national economies. The agricultural exploitation of Central America is a case in point. Thank you for pointing out this egregious and inhumane practice.
The sad thing is that most of us watching this already knows this information. How do you open the eyes of the sheep who passively permit this? I don't think you do. The only thing that can change minds is the direct impact of their actions upon them. As long as enough people are 'comfortable' they won't change their behavior.
So what has happened to the depreciation of durable consumer goods since WWII. Doesn't planned obsolescence produce unnecessary CO2? But when consumers spend money to replace the junk it gets added to GDP and called economic growth.
Bingo,, but the economy is set up for mass production for factories to make a profit. Its from the start of materialism that we messed up.. We are just brainless hamsters running around in the exercise wheel. So how do we get off the wheel if we have an economy that's the only way your job is kept????

True nationalism is the nation owning up to all the wrongdoings, making amends, and striving for the nation to continuously improve and being more responsible
Nationalism was created by the French and Americans in the 18th century to create an identity that did JUST the opposite of what you're saying. It's an idea put in place to validate a nation who's entire ideology is to be in constant war with brown and black people to excuse colonization and extractavist Capitalism. Justifying nationalism and American identity isn't cute.
This is why I didnt second Bernie when he endorsed Joe and Kamala as being the "good" option. There is NO difference between democrats and republicans at an international stance. The only solution for OUR countries is if yours violently colapses. We are literally dying every second the USA thinks about changing, and not doing it.
The problem is probably that a lot of people aren’t even thinking about this issue when voting for candidates sadly. Also I think political parties need to be expanded. It’s always Democrat vs Republican but both these groups have major faults.

Everything you do is so high quality! We have the west coast on fire, a hurricane hitting the south and drought and floods all over the country, we really need to get moving on climate change.
Can you please do a segment on the general strike that is supposed to happen on October 15th 2021! There needs to be more awareness for this strike to mean something against those in power.
What's the strike about?
Not gonna happen.
@@espvp 20 dollar minimum wage, 4 day work week, environmental regulation, Healthcare, 25% corporate tax, 12 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave. All you have to do on October 15th is not go to work, and do not participate in the economy, ex: dont buy anything. And spread the word! If even just 5% of the population follows suit, the government will have to listen to the people they represent.
@@facelessdrone That strike isn't gonna be successful, not unless there are still scabs that want to participate in this Capitalistic system.
Well put together, thank you. We bring this issue up frequently to raise awareness and make sure we are looking at the big picture.
If the world keeps trying to blame each other for who did what and why (country) is responsible for everything, then we will never get anything done and we will die as we argue. We need to instead concentrate on how to fix it, not who made it.
Even as a US citizen it's like yeah my country is corrupt but so is every other country. When the USA's reign is over I'm sure there will be other countries to step up and control our lives.
Which is true like it's true that anyone need to take responsibilities. If the major polluters don't, everybody else need to make them accountable.
so fixing it involves dissolving the worlds militaries into infrastructure maintenance personnel. still ok with fixing it then?
@@enricod.7198 Taking responsibility =\= giving money to random countries
We are not talking about who made it. We are talking about the US is STILL making it.
Thank you so much for all the amazing topics that you cover in your videos. This video is my favorite so far and I hope that more people start discussing how the US military interventions are not only causing climate change but also disrupting entire countries that are extremely susceptible to natural disasters.
Fantastic video. Great work.
I know you will post a video when I see Second Thought post one. It's always a good day when you two post.
This is one important video and the my second watch. I hope in the future that I can be a patreon. Thank you for supporting our world going forward.
32k views? Looks like the algorithm really doesn't want to do this video any favors.
Should do a short; those get wider distribution through The Algorithm
This is an anti-capitalism video and guess who benefits from capitalism? Yeah, giant corporations like Google and UA-cam.
One of the few UA-cam channels that explicitly says the quiet part out loud. US imperialism. It has practiced imperialism nof only by wars and sanctions but by gobbling up the South's natural agricultural and cultural resources. Its enormous economic domination stifles many attempts of developing countries to create a viable national economies. The agricultural exploitation of Central America is a case in point. Thank you for pointing out this egregious and inhumane practice.
thanks so much for this!
How is this video free with the incredible information, amazing graphics, and powerful message, wow.
Yes, so great, remainds me off Al Gore documentary Inconvinient truth
Hearing things plainly and truthfully is refreshing and orienting in a world that tries to keep everything obfuscated. Thank you.
Fantastic video. One of the best so far.
Can you make a Video about Norway, it's state-run pension fund, their social state and their fossil fuel agenda regarding the aspect of imperialism?
commenting to swing the algorithm. I'm very impressed with and grateful for this video and your work in general.
The sad thing is that most of us watching this already knows this information. How do you open the eyes of the sheep who passively permit this? I don't think you do. The only thing that can change minds is the direct impact of their actions upon them. As long as enough people are 'comfortable' they won't change their behavior.
Share it, and most important talk about!
Thank you for taking the time to research and put together this video. Very well done.
Everybody should watch this!
Notice this kind of content is never on trending.
Thank you for all that you do. It doesn’t go unnoticed !
You can't create durable goods if the system requires you to grow constantly and make more profits (or you can, but then it becomes extremely difficult for you).
Quite well researched. Thanks !
thank you for telling the truth
Mate your videos are class. Thank you for all your work and I hope you're looking after yourself.
This is a great video! I feel like not enough people talk about the extent of US imperialism
I aspire to do some or my own videos on the matter of our predicament and yours are just awesome. Well done and great points!
This video literally blew my mind... I have no words. The world is truly a sad place.
This is a very important video. This should be played instead of commercials on tv.
Excellent work!
Amazing video, such a clear and well backed up fact. I've hated how, my whole life, people were always trying to convince me that America was and still is the savior, when in fact it's the opposite. Great work
Man this is one informative channel. 👍🏿
There's a conflict to where I want to leave this country because of how it is, but it won't change if I do
Dont worry your decision dosent matter
this channel is way too small, the value you create is immeasurable
I know a lot about the causes and consequences of climate change and I’ve been studying the subject informally for 35 years. This video linked together facts and issues I had not ever considered. I was shocked. Thanks.
Great video!
Abby Martin at The Empire Files is making a feature-length film about the US military specifically! Everyone who liked this video should definitely check out her work here on UA-cam and on Patreon. Fingers crossed that it's released ASAP as this issue is so prescient!!
This was an amazing video.. Thank you!!
👏 👏 👏 👏
Amazing work. How to cause them to change though? Hope we find ways.
Another great video! The production quality is out of this world. The message is articulated perfectly.
Almost as good as Al Gore video Inconvinient truth
True nationalism is the nation owning up to all the wrongdoings, making amends, and striving for the nation to continuously improve and being more responsible
But not PC insanity
Nationalism was created by the French and Americans in the 18th century to create an identity that did JUST the opposite of what you're saying. It's an idea put in place to validate a nation who's entire ideology is to be in constant war with brown and black people to excuse colonization and extractavist Capitalism. Justifying nationalism and American identity isn't cute.
Which is what japan is Doing. And look at them now.
Thank you for putting your ressources into this important work. God bless you. 🙏❤
This needs to be shared across the world, its a fantastic documentary 👏 👌 thank you mate.
The most beautiful video i have ever seen!!! ❤
@@fuchsia02 yeah definitely, ideally. I just see there being a civil war before a social structural and political change any time soon.
@@RomanCruz I agree, I remember once when I was in middle school, I mentioned this in history class, and it sparked a debate that I wasn’t expecting at all. The way this country is run will be difficult for anybody to change.
so collapse already
@@RomanCruz I relate to your sentiments
Growing your own food isn't illegal... unless you live in America
Much respect for the perspective and info
Thank you for talking so much about indigenous people❤️ I’m “Mexican” a lot of people hate us or look down on us but their ancestors murdered mine and it’s still happening today from South America to Canada. Other people may not see me as native but we are and I love my native brothers and sisters so much. RIP our ancestors 🙏🏽❤️
Why the quotes on Mexican?
Are you indigenous?
You don't need to thank him for mentioning indigenous people, the visibility is not up to a quick UA-cam mention. It's is a moral responsibility of governments not only to acknowledge tribes and indigenous culture, but to actually help the preservation and wellbeing of natives.
Also, speak for yourself. Not 'a lot of people hate us'.
Stop your victimism, sense of total loss and needless thankyous for a casual UA-cam mention.
Have some healthy sense of pride.
@@ClepsidraSideral 😂😭 okay.. first, “ Mexican “ because Spanish colonizers created The name and the borders😂 and I said a lot of people hate Mexicans which is 100% true. And I’ll thank him for mentioning us if I want to. And Yes Mexicans are indegenous peoples. Not sure what about my comment upset you but go off😂😂
@@ClepsidraSideral I thank him because he mentions Indigenous people and business in almost ever video. Calm down angry😂
Good video, I already knew most of this but it is good to show.
the videos on this channel will be taught in schools in 20 years if we are still here
Amazing channel hopefully the algorithm will side with the earth and suggest your channel to everyone
Great content and well researched. We must stop imperialism.
keep up the great work!
It’s not just the United States but we can do so much to save the planet as a country if our government actually cared.
This video is seriously so good. Maybe my favorite of yours yet.
When the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned, only then will we realise that one cannot eat money.
the sad truth is we're 1/3 of the way there.
You really go off and I’m so here for it
Many conservatives want the government to get out of our lives. So, by that same logic, the government should stop bailing out greedy corporations and stop subsidizing car manufacturers and gasoline
great video! thanks for your work
