I love how even though Giancarlo is only doing voice work he is still acting like he is on a tv/movie set.
I swear you can see his face shut down for a millisecond after he says the lines
v/o work often requires overacting since people can only hear your voice

He's not quite *that* animated on screen haha but he's good. I'd say out of all of them the guy who plays the deep literally has the same subtlety.
Giancarlo is one of the greatest and most versatile actors. He needs more leading roles in movies. That man deserves an Oscar

Fun fact: when the boys comic was made, the creator made Hughie look like Simon peg because he thought if there was ever show, he wanted Simon pegg to play Hughie but unfortunately the show was made too late and Simon Peg was too old by then

I like how the boys diabolical is a perfect mix of the comics and the show: the characters which were changed in the show are introduced in their original designs making them even closer and accurate according to the comics , like Butcher, Hughie and Maeve.

Why Voice Acting doesn’t always carry over is obvious in there performances! You have to BE that character EVEN if it’s “Just a drawing”

For those unaware, his comic design was based on Simon Pegg, and Simon was originally Invisioned to play him in the role but had aged out of it by the time the show was being made.
