Using our Seadoo 300s as ice breakers. A Karen calls the cops and Ryan falls in the freezing water.

- A January Polar vortex in the Chesapeake bay won’t stop us from going for a ride on our Seadoo RXPX 300s but some Karen still calls the cops and then Ryan runs out of talent and goes swimming in the freezing water after hitting a submerged piece of ice at 50mph. Thankfully I was able to save his life.
I bet those engines are loving that cold water intake!
Closed loop cooling. Yamahas would prolly never reach operating temps.
@@yz125eme the seadoos never do aswell even with the closed loop. took my seadoo out in freezing waters and it ran very poorly due to the engine not being able to reach operating temp.
@@The1Collin 300s run very hot when you ride them hard, I would think they would like the cold water as long as you whoop on them
Check the oil for water

Man just hearing him trying to take a breath was painful, I know exactly how he feels. Where I live we have this charity event where people jump into the river during winter and each one that does it someone donates $20 all of which went to Saint Jude childrens hospital, I did it one year and when I hit the water it felt like all the air got sucked out of my chest and I couldn’t take barley take a breath. Lucky we were just off the bank but I immediately thought of the titanic and all the people that died in the freezing water and how horrible that must have been.
Yep. I jumped in a half frozen river in Montana during the winter for fun. It was so cold I felt like I couldn't feel my limbs and couldn't breath lol. Got pretty sick afterwards.
called the polar plunge where I live
Yep done it too, as soon as I hit the water it was like my lungs were fully expanded and I was hyperventilating trying to breathe but my lungs were full of air. Really hard to explain
Kinda like goin from 90% to 100% lung capacity taking 10 % breathes right at the top of my lungs. So easy to die
That's because you clearly have zero control of your body
pittsburgh plunge?
looks like an adventure. glad you guys could get out and enjoy your machines.
How to scratch and chip your hull.
Once they hit the open water I got really nervous. Them ice chunks come at you really fast and you wont know until you hit one that was too big. Even worse wreck the bottom of the waverunner. But your video made a good lesson on why you wear life jackets in cold water. Any feat that you do when warm can be almost impossible in freezing water. It hits you fast.
your comment makes no sense your suppose to wear a life jacket always, if he wrecks the bottom of the ski or gets a leak and it starts sinking you risk dying from hyperthermia regardless
@@hchaud5267 my comment makes perfect sense as I said when operating in the cold. Life jackets are recommended, but not mandatory on boats. Please dont jump to conclusion next time and read the whole comment! You basically say what I was saying.
Expecting it is one thing not expecting it and then having it happen causes a shock.
This is how to solve the problem of SeaDoo engine over heating.
LOL FR
Do they have Problems?
Get a Yamaha 😁
We Love it

Like they said they are trying to get to the open water.judging by the sound of there skis they have tunes and mods done and wanted to try them out.and they have intercoolers on them and ice cold water means more power and more speed.i have done the same thing on my test lake
Man looks like that jet ski went a mile ahead of you Good thing you didn't have to swim to it. I've done just as crazy though I did it in the middle of the night by myself in November pissed drunk and it was in Ontario so ya it was cold all most freez time plus it was super windy. Good thing I was drunk kept me warm...
Sounds like my kinda party
this is why men have a shorter life expectancy, lmfao
Don't do drugs kids! Jet skis on ice is way more fun
Exactly lol
Hah! My buddies and I did this with a canoe and a 7.5 gamefisher outboard. Unfortunately, we made the unwise decision of having a third person in a lawn chair. It was sketchy so we came back to dock but glanced off a substantially thicker piece of ice stretching out from someone's dock and went for a swim. Thankfully it was just a 30ft wide canal and not out in Huron, but it wasn't fun once we did an impromptu ice bucket challenge. That water sucks the wind right out of ya!
My guys are trying to become titanic number two and three
Been looking for these types of videos for a long time ever since my rich neighbor on Northwood lake NH would break the ice with his boat and jetski😅
Id love to see the video of all the hull damage
I’ve done this on the plastic and fiberglass hauls and there’s no damage.
@@nerdelac13 dw, he’s probably never rode a jetski before
@@nerdelac13 you’ve never done this.
@@johnfarling1537 bet?
@@nerdelac13 sure, you’ll lose.
Totally can feel his comment "I can't breathe ".... diving in even 54f water is the same! First fall in the water omg I can't breathe lol.
How did he get off the iceberg without falling in lol
That's what I was sayin. I'm like "dont they usually roll?" Makes me think it wasnt an iceberg but a small island or a sandbar
@@los3016 Icebergs can roll but don't "usually" roll. 87%+ of the icebergs mass is underwater. The heavy bottom doesn't want to suddenly become the top.
This just seems like a super bad day both for the Karen , jet ski and the guy who fell in
He was so cold you could hear it in his voice when he fell in the water lol
Imagine hitting a sheet of that ice when your flying😂😂
Cool !!! “Slaps knee”
But seriously I was always curious if jet skis can run normally in freezing water temp. I like the video.
Why wouldn't they not be able to run if anything they will run better stay cooler
@@ramcharger9146 : True you would think colder temp engine would be better but I would think there is a Standard Operation Temp requirement.
I work on a lot of HVAC equipment and it’s meant to be working in certain conditions.
I would think there is a standard working condition that they have engineered JetSki’s to run in. But I’ve always been curious about that running them in cold climates.
@@ramcharger9146 cooler isn't better, you want the motor to warm up to operator temp, most marine engines have open loop cooling systems so it's hard warm them up in freezing water. A lot at least have some type of thermostat now though so it's not just full water capacity all the time
Those seadoos run antifreeze coolant through a closed loop cooling system that has a thermostat so engine should run one constant temp in hot or cold weather
@@MicRuLerZ : I had a Sea-Doo sportster four passenger boat with a Rotax engine and yes it had a closed loop system and used antifreeze but I was always curious about that if that’s good enough to allow it to run an extreme cold temperatures. Never wanted to take a chance though lol.
"alright, let's go in before you die" LMFAO!!!
Oops npc pathfinding is bugged again, they're trying to use seadoos on ice again.
how he fell in the water was amazing😂😂
Similar thing but on quads.. survival kicks in hard core. Every video you ever watched somehow flashes through your mind and you keep it together hauling ass back to the truck
Wait you did this without wetsuits? Pretty dumb tbh, I go cold water all the time but I could swim in it for hours. Its when the cold water hits your larex u die from dry drowning, now that can still happen with a wetsuit if you dont know to hold your breath when u hit the water but its the involuntary breath of air that comes with the cold shock in this case that will cause you to inhale the water.
Otherwise I loved the video!
Imagine having to rescue a couple of guys on frozen water. Sheesh lol
Pay for the whole year of registration, gotta use the whole year
These guys having a blast
Some poor guy ice fishing now stranded on a piece of ice
Jeeze… I just recently saw one of these tipping over on a short while two guys were climbing it. I would stay off of it after seeing that lol
So how cold was the water?
I was watching thinking wow, if you come off that will be freezing 🥶 then it happened 😂😂
Probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen someone do on a jetski
They should be wearing dry suits or those bright red survival suits that they keep on crab boats
Should have been a little more careful haha but that was sick tho 😂
I love this my bucket list is to take my seadoos to an iceberg in newfoundland and throw a party on it people playing Frisbee having a bonfire lmfao
Put a little bit of diamond plated on the front and you got yourself a pretty good idea
You alright ?
Yeah ! Can barely breath 😂
You guys are nucking futz...looked like a blast!
Perfect example of more money than brains
After breaking ice, how much damage was done the the finger glass? I drive a big aluminum and I dis the same thing to clear our docks and it put big gouges in the curve of the bow, and polished the bottom paint off. I only had 200meters to clear 4-6inch thick
These things aren't fiber glass there some super tough plastic
@@haydenpenner3373 Incorrect. They are fiberglass. 2022 Sparks, GTI’s, Wakes, and GTR’s have polytec hulls but everything else is fiberglass, paint, and thermofilm. Polytec hulls were made for sparks to cut down on weight due to the small motor. Source: I’m the Service Writer for a Seadoo dealership.
@@Janue_ oh ok thanks
See an iceberg, I'm walking on it! 🤣💯
Should have brought him to shore and got the ski later...damn that looks cold as hell
Hopefully yall have a hull protector, that ice is as hard as concrete
We routinely break ice in aluminum jon boats. Ice vs concrete. The ice loses every time.
Quick call the cops! Someones using the boat ramp for its intended purpose.
Awesome guys!!!! I just bought a PWC yesterday day man and boy am I gonna enjoy it and gonna fish off of her 😎
Dude was getting titanic close to that iceberg with his ski
that was great... I used to ride in winter in Quebec in the St. Lawrence River years ago...
Not very bright...Hit a nice Chunk of ice...Your sinking😂😂😂
You know it’s cold when all you hear is… eee eeee eeehhh ehhhhh eeee
I used to work as a crabber on the Chesapeake bay
BROADWAY SHOW: Jet Skeez on ice ft. Cleetus McFarland
I feel bad for the guy that went for a night run on the snowmobile and completely hit that Gap😣😑
Love your skis I have the same one as the red one. Is the blue part of the black ski wrapped
Talk about boating season around these guys and…
“Theres a season?”
This is when you need a 1 ton friend.
See the way my internal body temperature is.... I think I’ll just stay in the hotel
I'll be the impellers love ice chunks 🤣
Yeah, that has to be really good on those fiberglass hulls! Still, not many can say they've done that!
All fun until you go for a cold dip lol
😄😄😄
👉 when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes !! congratulations
I think when there's ice on the water that's usually an indication to stay the f*ck home.
I'm guessing those jet skis don't have heated hand grips
Yup that shock gasp is what gets us in the Artic
Looks like two guys just looking for trouble
Had my Truimph 22 ft. out breaking ice about that thick on the New River in Jacksonville, N.C. on the coast. That is a RARE occasion down here.
And this kids, is why we don't do crack! Lawrence Taylor (Waterboy)
Cool water temps are the best haha. My sxr loves the spring time riding
Just imagine if you got knocked out and slipped under the ice. Gone for ever
Wish we would have been that lucky
@fuk' Biden "far stretch"? Haha ok, sure. Its not like every year people don't drown on unsafe Ice. But hey let's add seadoo's what could go wrong?
You guys are freaking nuts.
This is when you put snowmobiles on lakes
I must have missed the karen lol
They baited us good on that one
Kudos to you for attempting it haha
What a surprise one of them landed in the water. No wetsuit, what a genius. Hope he’s OK so we can perform other stupid stunts in life!

I hope their insurance company doesn't see this
No damage to fiberglass hull?
Those poor hulls! You are definitely gonna need a new gel coat after thus I've jetski'd up the inlet to Laconte Glacier and just that left all kinds of marks. Yall are lucky you didn't crack one and lose a ski
what models are those? im guessing rxpx maybe? they have a really good supercharger sound, like louder than ive ever head
you have to add a metal plate in front if you want to be icebreaker ^^
This video was awesome please do another
Not gonna lie this was a pretty cool video
Funny how southerners freak out over ice and snow
Thank God he didn't land on ice when he fell off!
A lower prop would work but it would need an ice cutter in front to split the ice absorb it's impact.
your average canadian summer
Wish I lived there I can't get any 1 to ride when it's 40s 50s out
That thing sounds like a dump truck 😂
B.E.S.T. Warranty doesn’t cover hull damage or wear items and this sure seems like a great way to risk damaging the hull, wear ring, and impeller all in one go. Definitely wouldn’t recommend unless you have a few thousand laying around for repairs. May even want to order an impeller ahead of time in case it’s on back order.
The ice chunks aren’t bad for the impeller?
Man good thing he didn’t hit any ice. Yikes. Gambling.
What possibly could they call the cops for lmao always that one nut case
She was probly mad that ice is going to be a bumpy mess now
We suits are mandatory at those temperatures!
Looks like fun amigos, good times!!
I have not been able to fiddle with stuff like these. Is there some kind of cover or mesh in front of the impeller? Im just wondering how easily ice can get to impeller and break it
Why would she call the cops and I didn't know it was illegal to boat in the winter lol
😅 you guys are nuts
Super fun! Also super cold, no?
That must be really bad for the hull
How did he not get hypothermia driving back with the wind evaporating the cold water?
Adrenaline
Now do it with a nanoxcel hull
If there carbon seal held up so will nano.
Wie die eierflattern haben, ich hätt direkt vollgas gegeben
i guess they didn't realize how the titanic sank
