- Transfer to a Connection flight at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand. This video will show you what it is like to make a transfer to a connecting flight at Bangkok Airport officially called Suvarnabhumi Airport with airport code BKK. We have just arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on a Thai Airways flight from Copenhagen (this could be any other Thai Airways flight arriving from Europe).
We now have to reach our next Thai Airways connection flight to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Walk with us as we Transfer at Suvarnabhumi Airport from our Arrivals Gate to the Gate of our next flight. This Transfer (some people also call it a transit, although it is actually a Transfer) video will give you an idea of how far the distance is from Gate to Gate at Bangkok Airport. For this connection flight we do pass security (not included in the video) but not Immigration (Passport Control) as we are not entering Thailand.

Only just found this channel so have been catching up on previous videos, I like the fact the videos give a sense of the atmosphere of the airports and flights and not just put annoying music over the top with nothing said as I see in other videos.

Also, the Miracle Lounge at the airport is really nice. I was there last year on my way to Vietnam. They have a chef who can cook a rice bowl for you using ingredients that you choose.

Hi, thank you for making the video. It is very useful! Do you know how long would it take to complete the transit in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport? How long should it take by the security check in transit area? I want to book a flight from Hochiminh to Frankfurt, but it offers only 50 minutes to transit. It would be the same airline, Thai airway, but I am really concerned about the short transit time. Thanks for advising.

Hello Maxi and Maro, it's always a pleasure to watch your movies. You guys go a lot to Asia, did you ever go to phangan island near Samui? If not, I can recommend this island, it looks like Samui 25 jears ago, it's except for the fullmoon, a very relaxte, quiet and beautiful island. I come since 1988 to Samui and the last 5 jears I do Samui and phangan, I just being back from phangan and it was great, so I think you can make nice movies about the island 👍😁. How far walk from terminal 2 to domestic terminal in bkk airport?
When was this taken? Just want to if the smoking areas are back? They closed off all the smoking area inside the terminal in Feb 2019 but faced tremendous backlash from travelers. Wondering if they open it back up now?
This was filmed in July 2017, we were there again in December 2019 and smoking rooms were also still there. How the situation is after February 2019 as you mention, we are not sure. Thanks for watching our video and for taking the time to share this information with us :-D

What if you change airline? I am planning to travel to Cambodia and will have to transit in BKK. But I will be going to BKK in Oman air and have to change to Bangkok air in BKK to fly to Cambodia. Do I have to go through immigration in this case?

We have been through this airport many times and I find often there is a lot of walking to do. As Changi is our ‘ home ‘ base , I guess we are quite spoilt.

As a matter of fact, Suvarnabhumi Airport is located in Samutprakarn Province not in Bangkok..
That is correct, we use it as a reference ;-) Copenhagen Airport for example where we live is not located in Copenhagen, but we call it Copenhagen Airport as it is the cities main airport :-D
