I like how the animator has shows that neither one of them is capture as the hero nor villain. They both literally went through hell. The colors and pacing really paints how they're both just broken friends overcome by rage, trauma, and manipulation. Watching the original stream was pretty heartbreaking. This animatic was not only emotional, but also exciting to watch, watching Tommy & Tubbo topple each other, race and struggle who would get the disk. You can see that the line has been crossed when Tommy threw the compass and Tubbo dropped the disk.

“You have no idea what I’ve been through, because of you” God this line gets me because it fits them both in this situation perfectly. At this point Tubbo had to make so many world shattering and stressful decisions for the sake of a country he never even wanted, he never asked to be president and yet he had the role dropped onto him with everyone expecting him to have all the answers when he was only 16-17, he’s had to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders for so long and had been forced to choose between the nation and his brother so many times that he’s doesn’t even know what he wants anymore. And Tommy isn’t much better, he had been forced out of the country that he helped build by the order of his own best friend, practically his brother, and he suffered weeks upon weeks of physical and mental abuse and gaslighting from Dream that left scars that will never fully heal, he felt betrayed and with further pushing from Techno he blamed Tubbo for his trauma, and rightfully so.
The fact that this scene played out while a bunch of adults just looked on gives me chills. These kids have had their lives utterly ruined, and no one stepped in to help.
I like the subtle hints of Dream just silently watching from the background & the reflection of the disk. He doesn't have to do anything because he had already planted all the seeds, letting Tommy and Tubbo do all the work. Tommy & Tubbo are angry at each other, blaming each other for everything that's happened when Dream is the one who did everything.
I love how tommy hit the disc right in the center, indicating he is an incredible shot. Obviously he's been practicing since his failed duel, and it matches quite well with where tubbo's heart would be.
There's something about how you do movements that makes your animatic so rewatchable! And that's even not including the symbolic usage of colors and how powerful the expressions and body language is! Your work inspires me so much, keep being amazing!

I think the coolest thing about this is how Dream is always lurking in the shadows somewhere, or even just appearing for a split second reflecting off of the disk. 1:36 would be one of my favorite moments too, you're focused on Tommy, and when you notice the silhouette the scene had already changed.
The things I love about your interpretation of this song: 0:35 - this reminds me of what Tubbo said when he first exiled Tommy and pointed out that Tommy couldn't shut up for just five minutes while he dealt with Dream. Tommy has no tact or grace. 0:41 - the camera focuses on Techno since Tommy is eventually going to 'spill his secrets' by betraying him. 0:53 - ouuuuuuch. Basically 'you still haven't realized that abandoning me the first time didn't do you any good?! We're here AGAIN!' 0:57 - Whether this is true or isn't, it IS true that Tommy might be one of the only people still secretly hoping the Tubbo he used to know is in there - Tubbo himself has taken to trusting no one but himself, how can anyone trust him? 1:02 - YAAAAAAAS COMPARISONS 1:23 - Tommy's still holding onto the compass, just like he's holding onto the hope that his friend is still there, as it points towards Tubbo - he's still 'his Tubbo' 1:30 - 'A reckless fool' is pretty much Tommy's character description, and his face is reflected in the thing causing him to act that way, though he seems more focused on it than on what Tubbo is saying - he's only seeing what he wants to see! 1:36 - "You don't know/you have no idea what I've been through because of you." There's so many amazing things about this animatic, but one of my favorites has to be all the parts where Dream is just there, silently watching from the background. He may not be the focus, but he's a driving force behind everything that's gone wrong, and Tubbo and Tommy are too busy fighting and blaming each other to even realize who the real bad guy is. He's just letting them tear into each other, and he'll happily take whatever pieces are left there afterwards to use to his full advantage.
Coming back to this, I've always loved 0:57 - 0:58, and how Tommy has slowly morphed into Wilbur, making Tubbo's line "If I can't be the next Schlatt, you can't be the next Wilbur" feel perfect. Hell, Tubbo did become the next Schlatt, with how Dream was puppeteering him in that arc.
I'm endlessly impressed by this whole video every time I watch it. Your art style is really dynamic and the story shines through clearly in every frame, plus I love the song you chose! I wish it ended up in the final version of Frozen because it's so much more powerful and emotional then the actual song they used. Great work!! ♡♡♡

After several rewatches, something that stood out to me was how Dream was always looming throughout the animatic, whether repeatedly positioned in-between Tommy or Tubbo, in the respective silhouettes and shadows of the two, or reflected in the discs. Out of all the amazing details and visceral animation (dude, Dream was SERIOUSLY imposing and genuinely intimidating), for some reason the little detail that Tubbo's shoes are constantly untied is one REALLY stood out, and immediately instilled within me this sinking and bruising sense of sadness.... Anyway, holy sh*t, another absolutely amazing animation from Public Spam Account, my heart seriously started racing when I saw this pop on my dash!
I’m really impressed by how much energy is in your animations, how well it goes with the beat of the music, and how you use the red/yellow color palette to make everything pop! For this scene, you really captured the anger, and deep sadness both were going through. And finally, how you added Quackity giving Tommy a concerned look-considering the arc Quakity is going thru rn it felt very fitting to include that he was there to witness best friends, his friends, tearing each other apart
I literally have no clue aboit dream smp but this animation is so incredibly cool, i'm still gonna watch it like a hundred Times! I mean, just that one part with the disk and the two faces and the change of colors and - just wow!

What I remember is being very confused xD Espacially about the discs I had no idea what the deal was with that. I kinda got that they were friends for a long time and they sorta were both traumatized by the smile guy, but not really anything more :P

I know absolutely nothing about Dream SMP but every time I see an animatic for it for a song I like, I click it because I swear y'all fans always drop some awesome stuff. I'm obsessed with the change in colors in parts that are supposed to really hit (I think? Again, I know nothing of the story but I get the vibe those parts are supposed to really hit in terms of story.) Love this!
By far my favourite and most underrated animator in this community, the gorgeous colours, the impressive movement, the expressive emotions, the phenomenal character design, the clear personality in all of the characters and of course the brilliant and unique artstyle.
The line "You don’t know./You have no idea.. What I've been through! Because of you" ACTUAL CHILLS!!!!! It fits the characters so well and the way you draw their expressions *chefs kiss* BEAU-TI-FUL!

I’m always SUPER impressed with the way you do transitions, scenes and COMPOSITION. like, every frame is a work of art. The rhythm and tempo lineing up with how you make them move, it’s really amazing.
Ive been coming back to thiss video like daily since june oml thia animation is so clean and ther arts so beautiful! the song really fits with clingy duos relationship during the exile arc so this is absolutely amazing! Id also like to mention that tommy only started getting mad at tubbo because he was gonna give the disc to dream and when he stopped him from doing so he started pulling up reasons to be mad at him and all the things he went through during exile. and tubbo only got mad because tommy just wanted to pretend nothing bad happened and that tommy was minimalising his trauma and having to deal with a whole country after the last president blew it up. Wow
i mean, the animatic is godly and it’s kind of scary how good it is and i love the animation style and the singing and the color scheme, and the voice lines at the end were a nice touch and really pull it all together, but i’m pretty sure while tubbo and tommy were busy duetting and fighting like there’s no tomorrow; technoblade and dream were just sittin there watching them like: 🧍🧍
It's so good. Holy shit I know like 2% of the lore but this is SO GOOD. The differing mannerisms, the emotions that reflect on their faces, the use of the disc, the cracked compass; it's all so cool!!!

There is always something so great and admirable about your animation, in my opinion ; it's the movements, the dynamism and the expressions of people. You always gets the timing perfect, and even more than the sounds, the movements and change of actions gives a rythm that just carries the viewer from one shot to the other perfectly. I loved it !
Judging by the thumbnail this will be tommy and tubbos fight over the discs (in the community house?) And im so hyped! Its one of my favourite character development moments and I cant wait to see your possible take on it!

This is so fun to watch! The colors and expressions are just perfect. I remember watching our Clingyduo live and this fight was so intense. Definitely a very memorable scene in the dsmp lore. :)
AHHHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! It really shows what was happening in this era, with them not understanding each other, and saying things they regret. Plus the art style, and they colors, and they movements, just really add to this masterpiece. I'm gonna go watch it again, another great animatic!

I'M COMMENTING AGAIN BECAUSE I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS BUT I love the way you can see Dream, whether it be in the background of some frames or in the reflection of the discs, and he's just chilling because this is just what he wanted and he's pretty damn proud of himself. I also just really like the fact that green shows up during the climax of Tubbo and Tommy's fight but goes away at the end, I like to think it shows Dream's influence finally leaving. I just AAAAAHHHH this is so fucking cool man

@@Sleepy-yp4wx It's sadly way too late for that, I went down the rabbit hole fast and now I'm fully in the lore and this animatic got even better!! What I remember is being very confused xD Espacially about the discs I had no idea what the deal was with that. I kinda got that they were friends for a long time and they sorta were both traumatized by the smile guy, but not really anything more :P

I know absolutely nothing about Dream SMP but every time I see an animatic for it for a song I like, I click it because I swear y'all fans always drop some awesome stuff. I'm obsessed with the change in colors in parts that are supposed to really hit (I think? Again, I know nothing of the story but I get the vibe those parts are supposed to really hit in terms of story.) Love this!

Ive been coming back to thiss video like daily since june oml thia animation is so clean and ther arts so beautiful! the song really fits with clingy duos relationship during the exile arc so this is absolutely amazing! Id also like to mention that tommy only started getting mad at tubbo because he was gonna give the disc to dream and when he stopped him from doing so he started pulling up reasons to be mad at him and all the things he went through during exile. and tubbo only got mad because tommy just wanted to pretend nothing bad happened and that tommy was minimalising his trauma and having to deal with a whole country after the last president blew it up. Wow
i mean, the animatic is godly and it’s kind of scary how good it is and i love the animation style and the singing and the color scheme, and the voice lines at the end were a nice touch and really pull it all together, but i’m pretty sure while tubbo and tommy were busy duetting and fighting like there’s no tomorrow; technoblade and dream were just sittin there watching them like: 🧍🧍

It's so good. Holy shit I know like 2% of the lore but this is SO GOOD. The differing mannerisms, the emotions that reflect on their faces, the use of the disc, the cracked compass; it's all so cool!!!

There is always something so great and admirable about your animation, in my opinion ; it's the movements, the dynamism and the expressions of people. You always gets the timing perfect, and even more than the sounds, the movements and change of actions gives a rythm that just carries the viewer from one shot to the other perfectly. I loved it !

AHHHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! It really shows what was happening in this era, with them not understanding each other, and saying things they regret. Plus the art style, and they colors, and they movements, just really add to this masterpiece. I'm gonna go watch it again, another great animatic!

I love the way you can see Dream, whether it be in the background of some frames or in the reflection of the discs, and he's just chilling because this is just what he wanted and he's pretty damn proud of himself. I also just really like the fact that green shows up during the climax of Tubbo and Tommy's fight but goes away at the end, I like to think it shows Dream's influence finally leaving. I just AAAAAHHHH this is so fucking cool man
