Karl with "What did I miss?" came out of like nowhere and I loved it. I was not expecting it. The scenes that you connected with each song fits so perfectly
I think the "What did I miss?" is because he was time traveling. (My favorite Tale from the SMP is The Maze simply because Slimecicle/Mr. Cycle is in it)
A few things I want to say: 1. The lighting is *chefs kiss* 2. Even tho season one makes heavy references, this carried it ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE MOST RECENT LORE (aside from the stuff that happened like 2 days ago) and NEVER FAILS to make the story fit with the song PERFECTLY 3. In true DSMP fashion, it portrays EVERYONE as the main character 4. Did I mention the lighting? 5. EPIC CHARACTER DESIGNS 6. FANTASTIC STORYBOARD 7. SEAMLESS SCENE CHANGES 8. This is freaking SEVEN MINUTES LONG and ONE person (to the best of my knowledge) did the WHOLE THING. (For perspective, it takes me about two months or so to poorly “animate” about a minute and a half. It takes some serious guts, patience, and work to even ATTEMPT something this big) 9. 99% of viewers aren’t subscribed so if you’re that 1% go tell everyone to subscribe 10. Have I mentioned the art enough times yet? 11. Oh also eret (that’s eret right?) being burr in the intro just was really cool cuz he’s going to betray them later, which is similar (but not really) to burr shooting Hamilton. oh wow. my hands are shaking and there are tears in my eyes. this musical never fails to make me emotional and that combined with the dsmp?? you are so talented, the transitions and art are perfect, and omg it fits so well!!! amazing work!!!
This is a really good matchup, with the storylines, the characters, events, etc. And I especially love that dream is king George, because they both have motivations along the lines of “why can’t it be the way it used to?” And obviously their motivations are different in other ways, but I think it’s still a really great character match up.
The rap bit with Techno was my favorite part. It was all so amazing and emotional! And the bit where Karl pops up and asks what he missed was both accurate and good for comedic relief.
c!Wilbur coming into frame during the “Who lives, who dies, who tells your story” aged so well. Most of the DSMP is dead because of the nukes and if c!Wilbur ever comes back to the SMP he’ll see the devastation and realize c!Tommy is dead. c!Wilbur will be the one telling c!Tommy’s story 😭

-Karl just going 'so what did I miss' because he just disappears time traveling and losing his memory so he as no idea what the fk is going on anymore
-Cabinet battle #1 as Quackity's and Techno's fight in the final control room
-Tubbo and Tommy telling Ranboo to take a break and stay with them and Michael
-Say no to this as Ranboo and his enderwalk state
-Room where it happens as a syndicate meeting
-Washington on your side as Quackity visiting/torturing Dream in prison

it went from extremely dramatic, to "SO WHAT DID I MISS!?" with Karl. pure awesomeness. ( 4:00 )

This is a really good matchup, with the storylines, the characters, events, etc.
And I especially love that dream is king George, because they both have motivations along the lines of “why can’t it be the way it used to?” And obviously their motivations are different in other ways, but I think it’s still a really great character match up.
I love how you show how many people were against Tommy during his exile, reluctantly or otherwise.
The rap bit with Techno was my favorite part. It was all so amazing and emotional! And the bit where Karl pops up and asks what he missed was both accurate and good for comedic relief.
