I just got a 2024 Outback XT Limited (2024). I traded in my 2020 (same model). The wireless Apple CarPlay I thought would be a good upgrade however after less than 500 miles, I have had several issues with connectivity. The car will sometimes connect and sometimes not. When it doesn't I discovered that my phone connection is turned to the off position so I have to turn on the connection then connect then activate bluetooth. So it seems that the car will sometimes decide to turn off all the phone settings for no reason and unrequested.
If the A/C light in the bottom right corner is illuminated, is the A/C on? Every time I start the car it’s on, even if it’s 50 degrees outside and I have the temp setting to say, 70. How do I get it to not automatically turn on? Thanks!

Great overview. I just bought a 24 Crosstrek Premium and many of the functions are similar to the Outback screen. Thanks for the video.

I really wonder which engineer convinced Subaru that having a giant screen with a dumb logic and least useability will be welcomed by customers.

@@shannonwhitener That's a bummer, my 2017 Forrester played recorded movies on a thumb drive as long as the parking brake was on with the stock unit
