I've had bad neighbors & on going conflicts, Orlando.gov . Gangs, human trafficking, drug dealers-trap house squatters. I can understand the Army Sgt/cadre frustration BUT you have to do things the right way: ⚖. I filed a court injunction against 1 thug who kept making death threats, harassment. 🗂. Know the HOA rules, code enforcement regulations, laws. Talk to police/crime prevention or the elected sheriff. 👮🏻♂️

Pentland should not have put his hands on him, especially if police were already on the way. That being said here a few facts.
1. This a private gated community, one does not simply walk in. You have to go through a gate, and to be let in you have to know someone who lives there.
2. Not only did no one know who this young black man was, he was harrassing a woman. This was the event leading up to the confrontation with Pentland.
3. The woman recording is black, and was not recording to show that Pentland is a racist, but rather that there was a confrontation between a community member and a trespasser.
In my opinion she should not have released this footage, she should have simply given it to the police. Because she did release it, you have hundreds of people trespassing and harassing a suburb of people. This is a really bad situation, police probably won't disperse this crowd (check out Milwaukee). And they feel morally justified in disturbing a peaceful community. This will probably escalate, especially with CNN, MSNBC repeatedly showing the clip of Pentland saying "You're in the wrong neighborhood".
If you believe this is a racially motivated hate crime, I have a question for you.
If Pentland hated this man for the color of his skin, why did he not once call him a racial slur? He surrounded by like minded people right? He's in a racist community, in a racist country right? So what would he have to lose by disparaging him based on his skin tone? He already pushed him, and basically threatened him.

If anything happened before the video, it was over. The Washington post said there are reports of the young man sexually assaulting women in the neighborhood. That’s what lead to this. He should have let the Police handle it .
Allegations, but let me make an argument to you.
The reports is that a young woman ran to this couples house and alerted them of the black man having sexually assaulted her, if that was the case: Why would the white man and his wife yell at the black man to get out of their neighborhood instead of calling the police and using citizen's arrest until the police got there? If it's true that a young woman was sexually assaulted they have a victim, potential witnesses and the criminal at the same time. Police arrest the man, take reports, witness statements and potential evidence. Instead what we hear in the video is nothing of the sort of reaction/interaction I'd expect between a suspected assaulter and a protector, "why are you here", "where do you live", "walk away frmo here", "you're in the wrong neigbourhood" and so on aren't things you say to someone a young woman say assulted them!
I'll be amazed if these allegations against the black man are true.

On April 8, one incident report says, the man allegedly put his arm around a woman’s waist, put his hand down the right side of her shorts and then put his arm back around her waist as her pants were partly down. On April 10, another report alleges the man repeatedly picked up a baby without permission and tried to walk away.
