Breeding Glowlight Danios. Part 1 - from Sexing to Spawning

Sadly I need to spawn my glowlight danios as my poor female looks like she doesn't have long to live. Glowlight danios are not the easiest nano fish to breed, but they are not a particularly challenging fish neither, they just need a bit of timing patience.

My new glowlights spawned in the quarantine tank! I siphoned up the eggs and put them in my HOB breeder box to keep them safe. Should I put some moss into the box with them?

Just noticed that 2 out of my 3 glowlight danios have ovipositors (female?), the other one is smaller, slimmer, and more colourful (male?).
Can 1 male and 2 females spawn or do you require more males than females? I'm planning on getting more glowlights soon, I just wonder if I can spawn these 3 while I'm waiting for the new ones to complete quarantine?

To be honest, no. 3 fry survived and still have two of them - both male - but i didnt get any footage of them growing up. but i do plan on having another go at filming the fry in the future - i just need a few female glowlights to do so :)

sometimes glowlights can cross with zebra danios

They can cross with pearl danios too I think.

Thanks Emma! I have 6 tanks and counting at the moment. In the future I'm hoping to put together some kind of fish room/space so I can film them all.
