I think "answer: love myself" is a masterpiece in term of the message they want to give. also the sound and their singing is awesome but this is more on a personal taste level. I'm one of them! I fell into a deep depression after losing my mother in 2016 and my then 11 year old would play BTS throughout house. A few of their songs peaked my interest especially after hearing her sing in Korean 😲 by 2017 I was full blown ARMY and K-pop stan in general. We've gone to 5 BTS concerts (which were absolutely AMAZING and a blast) and a few other artists as well. BTS really has helped me heal with their music and our love for them has brought us closer because we can simultaneously enjoy this journey together. For that I will always be grateful for them.

Since you mentioned it, 2 of the members (RM & Suga/Agust D) began as underground rappers. They each have 2 solo mixtapes: "RM" & "Mono" from RM, "Agust D" & "D-2" from Agust D (which is the name Suga releases his solo work under). You can listen to them on SoundCloud :) BigHit's UA-cam channel has m/vs for some of their tracks as well. And before anybody else gets on me about not mentioning our Hobi...the 3rd member of the rapline, J-Hope also has a fantastic mixtape. He started rapping later than the other 2 but he's amazing in his own right. All 3 members of the rapline were songwriters on Dionysus 💜

It's so interesting that each person start to listening more to bts from different song. this song wasn't my style so I gave it a pass the 1st time, but after seeing the live performance I'm blown away and fell in love with it. Personally, the song with lyrics that touched me the most (due to my circumstances at that particular time in my life) is Paradise and So Far Away (both have no MV so I guess you'd have to see it with lyrics video). I also love Dope.. it's catchy and the message is great.
I don't think there's a word that adequately describes their amazing versatility. I haven't been so hooked on a musical group since the Beatles. There's so much content for every song it's easy to get side-tracked but, since you seemed to enjoy their MMA performance, I would recommend their dance practices, where you can see the complete choreo to their most popular songs. I knew you would love Dionysus XD ... it is always interesting different people's taste. I *love* Dionysus, but I've seen some reactors who really don't like it. Their choreography for this song is FIRE, although more recent performances they actually changed the choreography a little because the original choreography had a somewhat dangerous move in it, lol. The lyrics are interesting as well. Dionysus is the god of wine and also the god of artists. The song basically draws a metaphor between their artistic/creative process and alcohol, lol. "Art splashing inside this clear crystal cup / Art is alcohol too, if you can drink it, you'll get drunk..." "...Drink it up (the pain of creation)" "...One drink (one shot), two drinks (two shots) /Get drunk on art" etc. A song with a really good message is Fake Love (the importance of being true to yourself), and DEFINITELY Epiphany. React to a lyric video for Epiphany in addition to the MV, though. The MV is a 'comeback trailer' and only includes the first verse of the song. As for your daughters' favorites, Jungkook is the youngest and the main vocalist. Jimin is the one with the super-high voice. It does not surprise me that those two are their favorites, lol.

All their songs has a message of love yourself, also show that you can be depressed, but you can get better. With their song show the real problems that society goes through. And BTS love so much their army and they are so grateful of the support of their fans, and the last album is a gift for armies, they say to us that even we can't be together due to covid, we support each other and we are together united for their music and they say to us that life goes on and someday we will be together again.

You should definitely react to the video called "The most beautiful life goes on of BTS" by the Asian theory, it's just came out a week ago and basically conclude the whole career of BTS, how they've come and take over the world. The video is amazingly informative showing how BTS was formed, their achievements thru out each of their album for 7 years and so on.. It's pretty long but don't worried the video itself is incredible well edited, researched and appealing from beginning to end. This video will kinda explain why they have such huge and loyal fanbase and u may appreciate the group more. And ofc Army will always be willing to watch no matter how long it's as long as it's abt BTS.

Your kiddos have great taste in role models. BTS communicate mental illness and expression in a healthy, realistic way and motivate people. They do have darker lyrics, but that's part of life too. If I could have kids, I'd be happy as hell if they were into this group. They've helped me grow as a person and I'm in my 30s.

Nice reaction I enjoyed that you appreciated the music and weren't too fixated on the video anyway. As many people have said, the live performance of Dionysus is great. However, what I haven't seen a clear outline in the comments is that if you do watch the live performance of that in the future, watch the 2019 MMA performance. MMA and MAMA are two different award shows that can be easily confused, but do have very different content. So just make sure its the right one :) Re other recommendations, as others have said - I'd highly recommend UGH! or Daeng! (And then watching the DKDKTV explained videos to undertsand the lyrics and cultural refernece) and Outro: Tear. It is probably better to watch lyric videos for all of those as there are no music videos, and then you can understand what they are saying/rapping about. I would also recommend daechwita, persona, shadow, ego and on, which do have official music videos. Basically all official music videos have English closed captions, so just make sure you turn those on first. Sorry that was long, but I hope that helps a bit. Really love your reaction. I am 50 and let me tell you these kids are multitalented. I’ve been following them since debut. They are good academically, high IQ, good manners, their talent not limited to singing and dancing, composing and producing, they are very athletic as well, in martial arts, track and fields, archery, they are good in arts as well they can really draw and paint. Their talent are limitless. Currently they are Pershing their Master Degree n broadcasting and advertising. And they really love giving back to the society. They have made generous contribution to the society consistently. Truly a good role model for your daughter. They inspired not only the young ones but also fans like us. Really proud to be an ARMY. These kids have come a long way and gone through a lot of obstacles. They work really hard to be where they are now.

I have to say, this fan made MV really made me realise how much footage we have of the boys acting drunk and high or just like punks. It really used to be motif in they MVs. Also, you should know the offical MVs have english translations that you can turn on. Also, there are lyrics videos, which can really help as well. For songs like this, which doesn't have a music video, you can watch a live performance as well as a lyrics video, to get the full experience.

Life goes on, the new one, is a song about the pandemic how hard it’s been for everyone and how life goes on. Baepsae, about the struggle of new generations in school and jobs. Magic shop is a comfort song for the fans who feel depressed.
They are the best I've ever heard for seamlessly blending genres in a single song, but they are masters at lyricism and wordplay. I love comments from Korean speakers who can always take us deeper into the meaning and context.

If there isn’t a real music video in the future, you can watch the lyric videos which will give you an idea of what they are saying and each member’s picture lights up when they are singing so you know who is who. And can recognize their voice eventually.

Can I just say that I love that you are listening to BTS now but also that you did it first on your daughters recommendation. I have met so many ARMYS who became closer to their family due to their love of the band. Its honestly heart-warming!
I'm one of them! I fell into a deep depression after losing my mother in 2016 and my then 11 year old would play BTS throughout house. A few of their songs peaked my interest especially after hearing her sing in Korean 😲 by 2017 I was full blown ARMY and K-pop stan in general. We've gone to 5 BTS concerts (which were absolutely AMAZING and a blast) and a few other artists as well. BTS really has helped me heal with their music and our love for them has brought us closer because we can simultaneously enjoy this journey together. For that I will always be grateful for them.

It's so interesting that each person start to listening more to bts from different song. this song wasn't my style so I gave it a pass the 1st time, but after seeing the live performance I'm blown away and fell in love with it. Personally, the song with lyrics that touched me the most (due to my circumstances at that particular time in my life) is Paradise and So Far Away (both have no MV so I guess you'd have to see it with lyrics video). I also love Dope.. it's catchy and the message is great.
I don't think there's a word that adequately describes their amazing versatility. I haven't been so hooked on a musical group since the Beatles. There's so much content for every song it's easy to get side-tracked but, since you seemed to enjoy their MMA performance, I would recommend their dance practices, where you can see the complete choreo to their most popular songs. I knew you would love Dionysus XD ... it is always interesting different people's taste. I *love* Dionysus, but I've seen some reactors who really don't like it. Their choreography for this song is FIRE, although more recent performances they actually changed the choreography a little because the original choreography had a somewhat dangerous move in it, lol.

As for your daughters' favorites, Jungkook is the youngest and the main vocalist. Jimin is the one with the super-high voice. It does not surprise me that those two are their favorites, lol.

All their songs has a message of love yourself, also show that you can be depressed, but you can get better. With their song show the real problems that society goes through. The video is amazingly informative showing how BTS was formed, their achievements thru out each of their album for 7 years and so on..
It's pretty long but don't worried the video itself is incredible well edited, researched and appealing from beginning to end. This video will kinda explain why they have such huge and loyal fanbase and u may appreciate the group more.

Your kiddos have great taste in role models. BTS communicate mental illness and expression in a healthy, realistic way and motivate people. They do have darker lyrics, but that's part of life too. If I could have kids, I'd be happy as hell if they were into this group. They've helped me grow as a person and I'm in my 30s.

As many people have said, the live performance of Dionysus is great. However, what I haven't seen a clear outline in the comments is that if you do watch the live performance of that in the future, watch the 2019 MMA performance. MMA and MAMA are two different award shows that can be easily confused, but do have very different content. So just make sure its the right one :)
Re other recommendations, as others have said - I'd highly recommend UGH! or Daeng! (And then watching the DKDKTV explained videos to undertsand the lyrics and cultural refernece) and Outro: Tear.
It is probably better to watch lyric videos for all of those as there are no music videos, and then you can understand what they are saying/rapping about.
I would also recommend daechwita, persona, shadow, ego and on, which do have official music videos. Basically all official music videos have English closed captions, so just make sure you turn those on first.

They are good academically, high IQ, good manners, their talent not limited to singing and dancing, composing and producing, they are very athletic as well, in martial arts, track and fields, archery, they are good in arts as well they can really draw and paint. Their talent are limitless. Currently they are Pershing their Master Degree n broadcasting and advertising. And they really love giving back to the society. They have made generous contribution to the society consistently. Truly a good role model for your daughter. They inspired not only the young ones but also fans like us. Really proud to be an ARMY. I have to say, this fan made MV really made me realise how much footage we have of the boys acting drunk and high or just like punks. It really used to be motif in they MVs.

They are the best I've ever heard for seamlessly blending genres in a single song, but they are masters at lyricism and wordplay. I love comments from Korean speakers who can always take us deeper into the meaning and context.

Maybe she can also grab Persona, Shadow and Ego.
All of their songs have good messages btw, cuz they committed to make only positive message to their fans. Me personally cried at the fist time saw the meaning of Spring Day. Their legendary song that is still on the chart after many years

If there isn’t a real music video in the future, you can watch the lyric videos which will give you an idea of what they are saying and each member’s picture lights up when they are singing so you know who is who. And can recognize their voice eventually.
They're all talented, hardworking, kind, sincere, honest and their love for their fans and music transcends any barrier. I don't listen to K-Pop at all, except BTS - they're different imo! I bet you they are excellent rolemodels and human beings to look up to.

So, my music taste is the same as yours and I always recommend ‘Outro: Tear’ at Wembley to introduce people with our taste to the BTS rap line! It’s so fierce and emotional for them because Suga (my bias in the rap line) wrote the song when the group was going to break up at one point, I think just before they blew up. So when RM raps ‘tear’ he’s talking about tears cried, when Suga raps ‘tear’ he’s talking about literally being torn apart, and when J-hope raps he’s talking about the fear. As for positive messages! There are SO many but ‘magic shop’ has a special place in my heart, I watch this video whenever I’m getting depressed. I like how they added the “I’ll show you” part to the lyrics specifically for fans to respond to them with, and I love when they say to you (the fan) “you recognised me. ‘Fake love’ is awesome too, lyrics are dark but beautiful, about decimating oneself to fit another’s ideal. official music video is dope, I Think of each room representing their depressions and anxieties, Jimin feeling like he’s drowning, Suga like everything’s burning, Jungkook like the floor is falling out beneath him, RM like he’s constantly confronting himself etc etc...That’s my take.

I know a lot of army moms and army dads who started because they took their kids to a live and loved them. You should definitely watch this song performed live because that’s wild.
Also, you should check out the videos explaining who they are so you know your daughters are following a really nice group that’s dedicated to their craft and inspire army to be and do better, both by their actions and by their calling.
