Hi Laura. I’m so happy you found really good items. I loved the book ends. This week I found a Timo Sarpavada orchid glass vase for $8 and it resells for almost $2000. Also some vintage Fenton pieces for 2.99 and resell for $195 each. I hit jackpot this week!
Wow the Timo Sarpaneva Orkidea for $8 is an amazing find! They are quite valuable as well as very beautiful. I have one I inherited from my mother in law and I treasure it.
2 Laura videos in one week? Yahoo! What beautiful finds, and always nice to see a little peak of your friend Michelle - I think she has super cool style too!
This weeks top finds: Gerda Lynggaard Monies Tiger Shell earrings, bracelet and horn/coconut shell beaded necklace, set of 3 was $55 total, Whiting Davis mesh purse, Art Deco made in France micro metal beaded fringe purse, Santo Domingo jet and turquoise necklace, Yemeni silver earrings-old!, Art Deco rock crystal and gold necklace, and the best one: Victorian rose cut diamond, ruby and tsavorite (or maybe demantoid) garnet lavalier necklace-got it for $12.99!!! Such a great week! All found at Savers! Love your videos!
So many great finds! If I had to pick one, it would be the vase ❤ this past week I found a beautiful Dansk enamel pot in Robin egg blue, a set of mcm teak candle holders, a cool handmade Japandi bud vase, a set of rainbow colored « swing » glasses and colorful traditional middle eastern ceramic plate handmade in Turkey!
Ok, rarely comment on thrift/antique haul videos (and I watch a lot!) but I have to say of all the antique/vintage youtubers you have by far the best taste. Most others seem more concerned with what is 'collectible' and what already has a precedent for sales (not slagging them, they are very knowledgeable) but you go by your gut and your choices absolutely slap!
I found a pair of Victorian copper shirt sleeve garters by Lambournes of Birmingham, for 75 pence in a box of costume jewellery. I had no idea what they were until I got home and researched them. Very Peaky Blinders 😊
I love your videos so much Laura ! I’m watching all of your old ones as I wait for you to upload new videos. I stumbled upon your channel when I was feeling depressed and watching you and your happiness as you found treasures kind of helped me in a way. Tysm ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love hearing the name "Edison". Myself and my husband love the name so much, that we named our 3rd son Eddison ❤️ 😊 . Loving all your great finds yet again, the bird brooch is beautiful xxx
Hello! Love watching you and learning from you. I found two Native American sculptures by pottery artist Jack Black. Keeping one for myself. So exciting being in treasure hunts!
I found a blue Bitossi trinket box at goodwill while visiting Tennessee recently! And it was only $2.99. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I did your signature happy dance in the aisle 😂
@@leftcoastrevivalshi Laura, Merryll Thomas here, Pl send me your email address as I would like to forward you a few interesting shops and fleamarkets in Cape Town. Just wondering, are you in Cape town already?
You have such a wonderful knowledge of the items you pick up. Great finds. Love the fact you shop at pawn shops. One of my favorite items from pawn shop is a diamond and sapphire ring my husband bought me. So beautiful.
I am so jealous of all the thrift stores and finds! I wish we would have more of these in the UK. Also, your knowledge is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us :)
A travel trunk jewelry insert. Few travel trunks have survived and even fewer inserts. This is bIt needs a little TLC but then it will be heading to market. It is a beautiful rich brown with brass handles, corners, and runners. It will be coveted art deco era piece when it’s done.
Such a Great Video!! Exquisite Format!! I seem to LOVE everything you choose and can't pick a favorite! My best find this week is a Signed Tooled Leather Purse for $7 which is a keeper!! Grandma is Stylin' her 70's Era all over again ❤ Can't wait to see you Rockin' that Gorgeous Ring on your Gorgeous Self ❤
The west coast has such a great vibe! Being from east coast ( Boston area), I hardly come across similar vintage items! Watching your videos make me a little envious 😊
I started selling vintage items on Ebay last year and it can be challenging learning everything about vintage. Thank you for the videos. I enjoy watching it and love how you style your finds.
Recently found an English copper and brass coal bucket on FB market place…love it because the brass is flower/vine motifs over the copper. Not a reseller so it sets by my fireplace .
My best find was at an estate sale. I went last day ernies, it was pretty darn picked over. So I am made myself look at Books. I ended up finding a limited edition, numbered and signed book, another signed book on cattle breeds and two books on genealogy. Spent $6.00 on books and I’ve already sold one book for $50.00.
Beautiful finds as usual…ughh it’s so hard to decide which is my favorite but I think the brutalist gold toned necklace with amethyst stones is o the top of my list! ✨💜✨
The jewellery are my favorite items you found. I also love the Italian vase and the sculpture. I would find a piece of driftwood and screw the two figures into the wood, side by side, maybe at different heights. It could be a mother and child. 😁 All the pieces you found are lovely though, I love how you style everything. Enjoy. 💕🎉💖
Yes that amethyst necklace is incredible! In response to your question, I picked up some vintage square toe brown Italian leather boots!! Great find at the thrift!
Oh, the gorgeous pair of wall sconce (and the house to go with them please 😉). I love your velvet shirt, Laura! Vintage velvet is my clothing weakness. I am so looking forward to seeing your design for your bronze figurines brought to life by Jesse. Fabulous video ❤
Does anyone else get sad when Laura’s videos end? 🥲😭 Don’t make me choose!!! I love it all…however I did gasp at the cast bronze woman pieces. So beautiful! ❤😊🎉 Your BFF Amy from MN😊🎉😂❤😊🎉😂❤
Hi -- you’re so smart and crafty. The concept of the lamp with those pieces , so cool. Can’t wait to see it done. You and your husband -- cute couple keep up the great work and videos! 💫❤🧡🌺
I wish the video came out before your sale. Then I would be able to purchase some of your fabulous finds. Love your hair and nails. Gorgeous as always! ❤
My top find this week is actually not very vintage but it has been on my bucket list since the first time I saw one.... Found a 9.5 inch beautiful blue gurgle pot at GW for just $4.99. My favorite find so far this year!
I love woodwork Gorgeous walsconces That will become an amasing lamp, grate idea! Beautyfull jewlery. The snakes and the X art nouveau/brutalist are my favorites Thank you for sharing X
Awesome jewelry! The lapis ring has to be a favorite but I love it all! If you look closely at that naked woman sculpture extra piece, it has a face in it. Is that supposed to be a child? Interesting piece! I love weird, quirky stuff like that. The brass candle holder sconce was amazing too as well as the wooden vase and carved wood container.
I love art deco, but my absolute favorite is mid century. I adore the sleek look of the pieces of furniture in that time frame. I’ve been watching you for a while and enjoy what you put out on youtube so I just subscribed. Em
That turquoise ring really is stunning. My favorite find this past week was a signed Barb Hertel raku pottery bowl or vase for $4.99. She is a Portland area artist but this is unlike anything else of hers I've found online.
Love the things you find. Love the brutalist items especially. My best find this week was a pair of brass pinecone-design bookends at an antique store in St. Augustine. Just adore them.
When dating wooden objects I rely on sight and touch. We are in a specific way and so does wood. Its color changes as it ages. It slightly darkens and mellows. The bottom is often slightly lighter because it doesn't get sun exposure. Dark woods are particularly harder to judge since they are already dark and often hard woods. Edges will be smoother on most older pieces. Cleaning an object will wear away sharp edges. These age related attributes are often faked so it is just a starting place as you appraise the age of an item that doesn't have a makers mark.
I found a modern wall hanging made of metal and jute and I thought of you when you bring out details of an item - I thought you might say it has a lot of texture and it would look great on a gallery wall 😊
I'm almost certain that that is a wooden tobacco jar, I find these quite often while thrifting here in the Netherlands. However, this one is beautifully carved and very detailed with these intricate designs. Tobacco jars were often used to keep tobacco savely stored. They used to be on the center of the table, but because the de decrease of pipe smoking, the big tobacco jar went out of fashion and was not much used since then. I personally love them because not only are they very beautiful, but you can store (after thoroughly cleaning them) a sorts of things in them!😊
I think you are correct! I’ve been looking them up since I posted this video and saw that first comment and I haven’t found the exact one yet but the same shape/size and style. Haha maybe that is the subtle smell I get from it 😂
Southern Oregon here. I love to thrift as well. We have quite a few around here, but I would love to make my way up North with my daughter. I grew up in McMinnville, Oregon, so I am familiar with the surrounding area as well as Portland and Salem. However, it's been many years since I've hit any thrift stores up north. I don't know how your channel popped up on my feed, but you're sure a lot of fun to watch! It's always fun to see what you find!! 😄❤
Top find this week at a rummage sale in a small, midwestern US city: MCM smoky grey high ball glasses. Not marked, but very cool architectural style. (Similar to Holmegaard Stub glasses, but chunkier.) Best part of the find was the price: 25 cents each (for 10 glasses).
Great finds! I was so happy you posted another video so soon. If I had to pick a favourite it would have to be the necklace with the amethyst stones. So beautiful. Also the Italian vase is close second. My own favourite find is a keraluc lamp I found last year. 😊
That sculpture reminds me of a mother and child.
The smaller one reminds me of a bowling pin. Even has the stripe around it.
I think so too and maybe someone removed those from tombstone...

I don't wear rings but admire them on others and that Michael Rogers blue ring is stunning! Great find.
That sculpture is gorgeous as it is. I’d just mount it on a beautiful rosewood block.
