I love how this channel focuses on Fitbit and you honestly give the most detailed and easy to understand information out of all the reviews I’ve seen. I’m leaning towards upgrading to a Versa 3, I love the features of the Apple Watch but that battery life sucks
if you're ok with a smartwatch that gives you roughly 20-30 beats per minute error on your pulse and 30% incorrect steps/distance etc, you should get a versa 3. Me, I wish I had read the forums before I bought one.
not sure, never bought another since this one broke. started flipping lights and then went out. i think it held 3 years or so. dont miss having it on my arm though, it got in the way. but i do miss having a pulse meter and step meter, it was fun to measure even though it measured very badly@@Readysteadygo28

this was really clear and broken up in really neat sections that were straight to the point! I own a charge 3, which i've had for about three years now and i am thinking of upgrading to the versa 3 because the charge 3's brightness has started to go and it's not as responsive or as accurate as it used to be. Do you recommend the versa 3?
Thank you for the compliments 😊 I do recommend the Versa 3. I think it will feel like a big step up from the Charge 3, especially because of the better (color) display. The Versa 2 could also be "good enough" for you depending on your needs. I plan to do a Versa 3 vs Versa 2 video within the next few weeks, but would be happy to answer any questions you might have if you need help making a buying decision before then.
Wearable Whisperer Thank you so much! I mainly use it for walking, heart, time, notifications and sleep honestly. So i’m not fussed at all by the music limitations or the google assistant (or things like that). I look forward to your comparison video!

When I upgrade and got a Active 2 I gave my son my Fitbit. He enjoys it..I really wanted to upgrade him but I was hoping the alarm would make a sound to help get him up. I can’t understand the price point if the watch can’t still do much…
Good idea they added the haptic button on side for the 3 .. The versa 2s downfall was if you pressed the side button in water was risky.. If you have a versa 2 best thing to do if your going in water is turn on always on display.. Then your not tempted to press side button
It's very similar. I measured my own personal Versa 3 and Versa 2 with a digital caliper and scale and here were my results: Fitbit Versa 3 Length: 1.59 inches (40.5 mm) Width: 1.59 inches (40.5 mm) Thickness: 0.49 inches (12.3 mm) Weight: 0.062 pounds (28 grams) Fitbit Versa 2 Length: 1.57 inches (39.8 mm) Width: 1.59 inches (40.5 mm) Thickness: 0.48 inches (12.1 mm) Weight: 0.057 pounds (26 grams)
Thank you! I am thrilled you answered. I checked out the new inspire2 and boy what a disappointment. Thought they would make the display just a little bigger, or bezel a little smaller, but nope, no improvement at all, just the battery life is better, and the back is a little more flat, but still the exact same size. The display I heard was going to be brighter and visible in the daylight more, but it isn’t either. So why did they come out with the same exact? Disappointed.
hmmm so im not sure if it’s the time difference since when this video has been uploaded but just too make sure I just tested it out on my cellphone with my house phone and i was able to speak through the watch without using my phone. i remember doing that to answer a phone call back in December (this vid is from Oct) and the other person said she could hear me without me even having the pull my phone out of my pocket. i just tested it now and even on silent/ do not disturb the call went through to both my watch and my phone. I even tried blocking the number and both still worked. This feature came in handy for me. if your Fitbit is on do not disturb then that would block and notifications from announcing themselves on the watch, but other than that i had no issues with answering phone calls on the versa 3.
Thank you for this very helpful introduction to V3. I'm one of the owners of a Fitbit Ionic that have been recalled. The watch has been recalled (not me) due to overheating problems. I welcome the replacement when I get this, as the charger is so more practical & reliable. The watch bands are still so so. I will buy a replacement universal band that is more colourful. thank you, this was very helpful 👍⌚
Thanks 😊 I'll make a video at some point about setting up Fitbit Pay contactless payments. For some banks it is quick to activate. One of my less used credit cards required me to call a support number or something, so I just didn't add it.
Watching this so I learn my new used Versa 3. I don’t know what features have been enabled since this video, yet. The SpO2 sensor was long overdue and disappointing with this info that it is not at all real-time. And they eliminated loading songs directly on the Fitbit? 😢
Great review, why did you have an emphasis on "quick" calls? Does it seem like it wouldn't be useful for longer conversation or just a battery drainer?
Thanks 😊 The emphasis on "quick" calls was because that's what Fitbit wrote in their press release, "a built-in speaker and microphone to take quick phone calls" (Source: investor.fitbit.com/press/press-releases/press-release-details/2020/Fitbit-Debuts-Sense-Its-Most-Advanced-Health-Smartwatch-Worlds-First-With-EDA-Sensor-for-Stress-Management-Plus-ECG-App-SpO2-and-Skin-Temperature-Sensors/default.aspx ) I'm guessing there will be some sort of limitation, and battery is the likely culprit, but we shall wait and see.
Is versa 3 better in the water than the previous versas. I’m on my third Fitbit versa, each time it stopped working after a swim! Fitbit did replace the first without charge since it was still under warranty. Why say they perform well in water if non.
I found the infinity band really comfortable but it's given me a rash twice, sadly I'll have to get a new band which is a shame because I love the look of it
I am currently wearing Fitbit’s official woven band and really love it. I tend to get rashes as well and haven’t had any with the woven band. I do switch to a Fitbit official sport band when I’m going to do “sweaty exercise” and I find it significantly better than the infinity band. All my personal opinions though and your mileage / preferences may vary 😊
My wife and I each purchased the Fitbit Versa awhile ago when they first became available. I didn't use mine right away. When I went to use it about a year later it would not work. Being a big Fitbit Fan, I went and bought another Fitbit Versa II. A little while later, after out of warranty , my wife's stopped working. (would not sync with phone). I noticed that the Versa II had a different charger?? After my Versa II was was out of warranty it stopped syncing also. Now I have three non working Versa's and two chargers and many bands. I was so disgusted that I am also done with Fitb. I sold my last 3000 shares of stock at a loss.
Finally somebody said it! My versa 2 just stopped working as well and it's not even up to a year. I am skeptical about getting a versa 3 especially given that it no longer allows personal music transfers.
You can’t use Spotify offline on any Fitbit. The Versa 3 has many differences from the Versa 2. Some I personally think are great upgrades, a few I would’ve preferred what was on the Versa 2. It’s all very subjective because some people have strong preferences one way or the other.
Quick question: is there a way I can get this watch to speak out aloud after every km the total distance covered, etc. while I'm running? I have this functionality in my Samsung Galaxy Watch, but can't find it in this
Not that I am aware of 😢 You can get voice cues via your phone's speaker, but you have to manually start tracking an exercise in the Fitbit app via your phone (not your Fitbit Versa 3), and I don't think it will show any stats on your Versa 3 if you track via your phone.
The bands are not compatible, no. Fitbit flyer would connect to your phone, Versa 3 can only control music from the watch (not play back from the watch).
I've had this Versa 3 for years funny story 3 years now no seriously ironic isn't it and it has not died I have a minor cosmetic scratch now but you can barely even see it or notice it. The Versa 3 is pretty powerful if you turn off notifications and need it as a regular wrist watch you can ignore the steps or BPM which I find scary how a non authorized medical watch can be allowed to do that other than that complaint I have no issues with it at all.
I recently purchased and started using fitbit versa 3 with my mobile oneplus 7. I am able to answer the calls on the watch but the output from the speaker is like talking tom not a ideal voice from the caller. It sounds annoying to listen. I have to rely on mobile to continue to talk This is the second day of my usage and am facing the issue. It worked good only first day. Is it defect or feature yet to roll out.. ?
Yes, it has a water resistance rating of 50M and is able to be used in the pool. There is a "Swim" workout mode in the Exercise App, however, it looks like it can only track duration (not swim lengths, distance, or pace). See this Fitbit Help article for more info (especially the section on "What are my options for swim tracking with my Fitbit device?"): help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2087.htm
Hey thanks for the informative video. I want a watch which I can download music on to and listen through wireless earphones so I don't need to carry my phone with me whilst I go for a run. Any ideas?
I’d need some more information to answer that question. Do you use Android or an iPhone? Are you wanting to download your own mp3 files from your computer, or do you already use a music subscription service (if you use a service, which one?)
@@wearablewhisperer hey thank you for such a speedy response! I use an android and I would like to use my downloaded ones. I do not currently have any music subscriptions or have apps such as Spotify.
If you don't need built-in GPS, then I can recommend the Fitbit Versa 2. If you do need built-in GPS, then the only Fitbit would be the Fitbit Ionic. If you're not set on a Fitbit, there are a number of Garmin watches that have both built-in GPS and the ability to download personal music files: Garmin Venu, Garmin Venu Sq Music, Garmin Vivoactive 4, Garmin Vivoactive 4S, and Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music. There may also be Samsung watches that have these features, but I personally haven't done any in-depth research into them yet. The Wearable Finder on my website isn't 100% ready for prime time yet, but you can use it in its current state to get an idea for prices, battery life, case sizes, and color options for the watches I mentioned above (except for the Fitbit Ionic): wearablewhisperer.com/wearables/?_product=garmin-vivoactive-3-music%2Cgarmin-vivoactive-4%2Cgarmin-venu-sq-music%2Cgarmin-venu%2Cfitbit-versa-2 Hopefully that points you in the right direction 😊
Can we take the call using IPhone ? With the versa 3 is correct to understand they will be realise the google assistance end of this year? and also this will be able only for Android? Thanks
There hasn’t been any information released about the feature to take calls or Google Assistant. Fitbit says Google Assistant is coming “late 2020”, but that might vary depending on country also.
Im a driver and when i find a cool location, could i enter say walking mode for a few seconds to record that location? or even rename a mode to say...new locations?
Unfortunately, you can’t rename exercise modes. I’m not sure if your idea would work. It would depend on if you were still driving and how precise of a location you would need. (GPS needs time to connect to satellites before it can record.)
@@wearablewhisperer I would be driving more likely... And precise location is not necessary , thanks for the reply, been using a cheap £10 smart watch and just order a versa 3, very excited
Not at the moment, but taking quick calls via the built-in microphone and speaker is an advertised feature that is “coming soon”. Battery life is 6 days, but only 2 days if you plan to use always-on display. It will also decrease if you use the built-in GPS; around 7-11% per hour of GPS.
Great review ...I just bought the versa 3 and for some reason it isn't tracking my sleep ... I recently discovered that you need to use the stupid watch face to track spo2 Yet it isn't tracking my sleep...does it require premium or ?
Hmm, sleep tracking should work without premium. And you actually can get SpO2 without using the stupid clock faces now. There is an SpO2 app that needs to be installed though.
Hi great video! By chance would you know if this watch can be tracked remotely using a Android phone that is in another location? Thinking about buying one for my daughter and would love to be able to know her location.
If you need help with handling phone calls and messages I think this could be helpful! ua-cam.com/video/lniC3KPt_vw/v-deo.html I just got my versa 3 and have not tried this video yet but I plan to! 😊✨
It's always subjective, but, in general I'd recommend the Apple Watch (SE is a great value if you don't care about always-on display). If you have specific needs/questions, let me know.
I’m thinking of buying one to monitor my blood pressure as I’m T1 diabetic: which one would work better for Me. I have an IPhone 10 and store everything on google drive. Thank you, 🤩🇨🇦
Blood pressure or blood glucose? Fitbit just released a blood glucose logging feature that helps you log your blood glucose history. It is a manual log you have to enter yourself though (and will work with any Fitbit device, and even if you don’t have a device and just download the Fitbit app and create an account, I think). I’m not currently familiar with wearables that are best for blood pressure or blood glucose monitoring as these are not mainstream features yet, but it does seem like we are on the cusp of these being part of the features available.
Is the watch face lit enough to be able to see it when outside in the sun? Realized today that my current one is useless when it's super bright, as I can't see the face at all.
I just received my Fitbit Versa 3 and keep getting "oops something went wrong". How do I resolve this? I get it several times per day and it's really annoying. Thanks
I have an issue with the left side button on my Fitbit Versa pausing my workouts whenever I bend my wrist and accidentally press it. I wonder if the haptic buttons would resolve that issue. Has that been an issue with this one as well?
I have just bought mine. When ever I get notifications it only vibrates and doesn't make any sound. Is there any option for the sound that I can enable
There is no sound for notifications, only vibration. Not sure if they will ever update to make a sound since it does have a speaker. (Don’t kill the messenger.)

How does it compare to size from the versa2? Is it the same thickness and bezel width?

What I really wanna know is, where you get that clock face at.
Got it here: gallery.fitbit.com/details/ff398347-1f84-4d09-8b3d-ca13ff783f4d
But what happens if your display is on dim and l am trying to put it on normal or max so I can see it?
Do the bands I have for my Fitbit Versa 2, fit the Versa 3? Also is the Versa 3 compatible with the Fitbit Flyer?
The bands are not compatible, no. Fitbit flyer would connect to your phone, Versa 3 can only control music from the watch (not play back from the watch).
Is it possible to input claries eaten directly on the watch without having to use the phone app?
Not that I am aware of
I have the first Versa. Is it worth it to upgrade or should I wait? My Versa stills works fine.
If you have no complaints about your Versa, then I don’t see why you need to upgrade.
My swipe dont seem to work I have to tap like 3 times before comes on. Is that normal?
Are the Fitbit 3 have different ones? when did they come out & did they change???
What is the watch face you have in the video?
It’s Colors by Reno. You can see it here: gallery.fitbit.com/details/ff398347-1f84-4d09-8b3d-ca13ff783f4d
I have to rely on mobile to continue to talk
This is the second day of my usage and am facing the issue. It worked good only first day.
Is it defect or feature yet to roll out.. ?
Can you please reply

@@wearablewhisperer Thank you.
You're welcome 😊
How do you keep your screen off when you don't use it? I think that, consumes my battery.
Turn off on always on display mode in settings on your versa 3 watch
How I can put sound when I receive the notificacions on the watch? Thanks
Fitbit hasn’t made that feature available.
This was quite informative I shall stick with my Fitbit lite
I'm so glad the information in my video helped you 😊
So I just bought one off of Amazon. If I hooked up to a wifi network off my phone/Fitbit, would I be able to listen to Spotify?
Not via the Fitbit. Fitbits can only control playback of Spotify on another device.
Thanks you was very good
You’re welcome 😊
Is this proper waterproof?as in can it be used in the pool? And does it measure swimming as exorcise.

The Wearable Finder on my website isn't 100% ready for prime time yet, but you can use it in its current state to get an idea for prices, battery life, case sizes, and color options for the watches I mentioned above (except for the Fitbit Ionic): wearablewhisperer.com/wearables/?_product=garmin-vivoactive-3-music%2Cgarmin-vivoactive-4%2Cgarmin-venu-sq-music%2Cgarmin-venu%2Cfitbit-versa-2
Hopefully that points you in the right direction 😊
@@wearablewhisperer Omg thank you so much for your detailed response!! I really do appreciate it Your the best :)
You’re welcome 😊
2days back I got it.. love it
Can we take the call using IPhone ?
With the versa 3 is correct to understand they will be realise the google assistance end of this year? and also this will be able only for Android?
Thanks
There hasn’t been any information released about the feature to take calls or Google Assistant. Fitbit says Google Assistant is coming “late 2020”, but that might vary depending on country also.
Love the face clock, could you tell the name of the face clock?
Colors by Reno (it’s a paid clock face; 3rd party)
@@wearablewhisperer thank you so much, I didn't think you would actually reply😊💖
You’re so welcome 😊
Im a driver and when i find a cool location, could i enter say walking mode for a few seconds to record that location? or even rename a mode to say...new locations?
Unfortunately, you can’t rename exercise modes. I’m not sure if your idea would work. It would depend on if you were still driving and how precise of a location you would need. (GPS needs time to connect to satellites before it can record.)
@@wearablewhisperer I would be driving more likely... And precise location is not necessary , thanks for the reply, been using a cheap £10 smart watch and just order a versa 3, very excited
Can we make and receive call in this watch ? what is the battery life ?
Not at the moment, but taking quick calls via the built-in microphone and speaker is an advertised feature that is “coming soon”. Battery life is 6 days, but only 2 days if you plan to use always-on display. It will also decrease if you use the built-in GPS; around 7-11% per hour of GPS.
Does Versa3 have fitbit pay
Like versa2 have an option of contactless payment
Yes, Versa 3 has Fitbit Pay contactless payments
What clock face are you using in this video?
It’s a paid clock face called “Colors” by Reno. You can see it here: gallery.fitbit.com/details/ff398347-1f84-4d09-8b3d-ca13ff783f4d

What's the dif between Versa & sense?
I explain in my video here: ua-cam.com/video/g44DCbjTO1Y/v-deo.html
does the watch only vibrate during notifications?
Yes
Great review ...I just bought the versa 3 and for some reason it isn't tracking my sleep ...
I recently discovered that you need to use the stupid watch face to track spo2
Yet it isn't tracking my sleep...does it require premium or ?
Hmm, sleep tracking should work without premium. And you actually can get SpO2 without using the stupid clock faces now. There is an SpO2 app that needs to be installed though.
@@wearablewhisperer haha thanks...will see
Hi great video! By chance would you know if this watch can be tracked remotely using a Android phone that is in another location? Thinking about buying one for my daughter and would love to be able to know her location.
Unfortunately, no
Q. What size (circumference) is your wrist in cm to get an idea of the watch size?
My wrist circumference in 17.8 cm.
The watch dimensions are:
Length: 1.59 inches (40.5 mm)
Width: 1.59 inches (40.5 mm)
Thickness: 0.49 inches (12.3 mm)
Great review...
Thank you 😊
Hi I am want to ask the all features that are in this watch world with iOS like reply to messages ,call etc ??
yeah
If you need help with handling phone calls and messages I think this could be helpful! ua-cam.com/video/lniC3KPt_vw/v-deo.html
I just got my versa 3 and have not tried this video yet but I plan to! 😊✨
How you getting on with this? I'm contemplating on getting one. It's between this and the Apple watch
The Apple Watch can do basically everything this can do and the Apple Watch does everything better It is also much faster and rarely lags

Yes, in my experience, it’s especially easy to see in the brightest setting even on a sunny day.
@@wearablewhisperer awesome! Thanks for the quick reply!!
You’re welcome! 😊
It’s been an issue for some people with the Versa 3 as well.
How to change the weather from Centigrade to F..
On your phone. In the Fitbit app. Go to your devices settings page. Click on apps. Click on weather. Click on settings. Change there.
I have just bought mine. When ever I get notifications it only vibrates and doesn't make any sound. Is there any option for the sound that I can enable
There is no sound for notifications, only vibration. Not sure if they will ever update to make a sound since it does have a speaker. (Don’t kill the messenger.)
