I was worried about not putting enough money away each month, (not including pension) so I got a second job. Will stick it out as long as I can as it is hard work, but having two paydays at the end of the month is nice.
I am 35 years old. What i have learnt so far is if you can put your mind to what you want and do the jon it requires, then you will get it done. Provision flows towards vision. My father also transistioned to glory few months ago and that is the most painful part of my life. 😢
As someone who recently turned 30, I like the 30s advice videos. I feel like a majority of advice videos are geared towards people in their 20s so more 30s advice is greatly appreciated
I'm sorry for your loss Ken. I lost a dear school friend when he was just 33. I'm 37 in a few months, and I often dream of him - in fact I did last night! When I catch myself moaning or worrying about getting older, and panicking about what I haven't achieved yet which I hoped I would have, I think of him and remember to be thankful and grateful. I have been wanting to make more positive health choices recently, and occasionally don't always get full support from friends and family, so your video has come at the right time for me. 🧡
I'm really pleased that this video resonated with you. I still get triggered every other day by one thing or another. It's hard. Thankfully, it's something more people are willing to talk about before grieving is often a difficult taboo subject.
As someone who'll be turning 30 soon, I'm so grateful for all the invaluable gems you shared with us in this video. What I appreciate most is your honesty and vulnerability. It serves as a source of comfort and inspiration because I know I'm going to be okay. The older you get, the more you realise that tomorrow is not guaranteed and every day is a blessing.
I've watched tonnnnnnes of videos, first time commenting! Appreciate how honest you are, I've found them to be a huge source of inspiration! I'm at the beginning of my 30s now and excited/nervous for what awaits. Buying my first house this year so the ball is already rolling! My 20s were plagued with depression and anxiety so it's nice to be excited about the future! (And scared as per point 6!) Thank you for the life lessons!
Thank you so much for another great video. I am so sorry for your recent loss. I wanted to talk about this topic but from a different perspective. I agree with your points 100% but also would like to warn some not to be trivial about their lifes because you may not live long enough/die tomorrow. I am turning 40 in 2025 which is still a couple of years from now. I have a 40 before 40 list and I have been ticking goals and dreams of this list for the last 4 years or so. When I talk to people about my list, they sometimes say my birthday is in such a long way ahead and I may die tomorrow so no point in such a list. I am aware I may not live till 40 but I do not want to wake up just before with so many things that are too late to achieve. My point is, appreciate today because this is what you have for sure but also plan for a better tomorrow in case it does come. Best wishes to you all.
Thanks for sharing this and being vulnerable. These videos will live forever and your kids will admire you for providing this great wisdom which we could all use! Big fan
Your content means a lot ✨️. Thank you 😊. The fact that our children will be able to learn from this content is a HUGE motivator for us to keep going ❤️
Your channel and your talk at the TLC Vibe Conference with Mary has really transformed my way of thinking. I’m so sorry for your loss and I pray that God comforts your family in this season.
Thank you for your life lessons, I’m in my 32 and I have a 2 year old baby, having a baby completely changed my thinking about life and I want to achieve my Goals in life to show her one day that she can achieve what ever she want in her life and if you ever want to add another country to your list, Sri Lanka is one of beautiful island countries in the Asia.
Great video! Currently in my penultimate year of masters and had thoughts of taking a year out to essentially 'have fun'. However, watching this video and taking the advice of my mentor, the general suggestion has been to be focus on the aim and to continue on. In retrospect, I think a lot of my motivation for potentially taking a year out was due to 'keeping up with the jones'. I think that continuing on and focusing on my finances as I have previously done would be the better option for the long run and for future me. Delayed gratification will be the general tone.
This is fantastic! Im about to turn 30 and have also been keenly aware of how short life can be. Sorry for your loss. Being without my parents I’ve come to realise that having wisdom and guidance poured into my life is essential. Will rewatch this again for sure.
Very emotional video. I know from experience that loosing someone you love can make you feel robbed. Sending my deepest condolences to your family for your loss. Not something I learned in my 30s but I have learned that it is OK to move on from people who are bad for you. You only have enough energy for so many people so you much choose wisely. Spend your energy, your time and your love on people who enrich your life.
Sorry for your loss Ken. My dad died at 34 years old at a time he had started a lot of projects which were all on a take off stage. I had panic attacks nearing my 34th birthday thinking I was also gonna die. But thank God at 36 I feel I’m having my life ahead of me now.
One thing we can say for sure we are all travellers in this world ! That should be associated we maturity in all senses of adult life. Blessings to all !!
I'm about to turn 30 next year - I honestly feel like I can lift the world on my shoulders - but it's still scary! Still feel like I have went nowhere with my career yet and speaking to my friends I feel like I'm well ahead in my mindset. Stepped out of my comfort zone and had the first job interview in 2 years today, started saving for a house and maxed out a lifetime ISA this year for the first time :). Definitely looking forward to the next 5-10 years.
Good advice as always. Thank you. One thing that stood out for me that I’ve spoken to someone recently is that, it’s good to plan but we don’t know the future. Even those with perfect health can suddenly pass away. It’s a very delicate topic but I can only trust God’s plan for my life. Also, I’ll be happy to share my life lessons when I’m in my 30s😅
Great video, love your content! I'm also turning 30 soon. Health is a major one for me, I had asthma when I was younger and couldn't do much sports. Now that i'm older I enjoy trying new sports and learning new skills, and transferring them to my everyday life where I can.
Point number 3 is powerful but only works if you have a partner who also wants to make it and not settle. Then comes the difficulty with the different mindset
I can relate to a lot of this. I’m nearing 50 and sometimes feel like a social outcast. I’m totally happy being single and never wanted children. I prefer pursuing my hobbies and trying to better my financial position. But I feel like I’m in a tiny minority who prefer living outside what society expects of us all. But I prefer being true to myself. Even if I’m looked upon as an outcast.
Sorry for your loss Ken. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can say that it is true not share your ideas or goals. People would put different obstacles in front of just not to allow you to achieve. What I have learned from my 30ties when I had to start my live from the beginning is that you can Do it just don't look back, don't give up and pursuit your dreams. Greetings.
Love to your family Ken after your loss. I also watched the programme of living a long life, very inspiring how many things come together, diet, purpose etc. Thankyou
Health, without it you have nothing. Invest in it, it will give you the greatest return on investment you will ever see. We so often take our greatest asset, our body, for granted. Though also be aware that no matter what you do, sometimes your health is out of your control. Great video!
That was really good advice. Helped me a lot. Iam 30 years Old. Thats not my Account where Iam watching from, but I had to comment and tell you "thanks for that"!
I loved this video, so useful as I’m one year away from the 3rd floor (lol) Thanks for sharing about your brother-in-law, that wasn’t easy for you to do but your transparency is much appreciated ❤ Perhaps add Jamaica to your list of countries? 😃👏🔥
