I'm just going to ask here because I'm here... Is Doc's Juice designed for Getzen valves?

How intriguing that he started with trumpet. No wonder he never encountered problems with the high register. I was really serious about t-bone once, but I over-practiced and developed "leather lips". My range was also severely limited (to high A, and even that would sound like I was lifting 500 lbs). I'm probably too old now to take up trombone again, but I think if I did I would begin with a pTrumpet, if only to get some control and feel for the center of my lips. That seems to be what was missing. My teacher back then was an even more extreme example: He played french horn as well. He demonstrated to me once a solid triple high D on the bone. I just didn't put two and two together.
