Beautiful job! I used the headliner adhesive spray on the driver's side of my Touareg two years ago. Now the front passenger side is starting to flap. I'm gonna do the temporary fix just enough to not flap and get it replaced in a few months.
@@VDEdition1 Yes, I came to say thank you as well. I have not even clicked on the repair video (I will do in a few seconds after this thank you). You have no idea how much this is going to help me ! I subscribed of course !
Great video! I actually have a leaky strut cover on my rear driver side and want to access it but don't want to remove the whole headliner. I've removed the pillar supports in the rear but can't figure out how the the headliner attaches to the rear after removing the sill. Does it slide into place (meaning I have to remove the whole headliner and slide it forward) or does there a way to release those two attachment points at the rear of the headliner? Thanks it advanc!
It's not enough to just remove the pillars! You also need to remove the handles and maybe even the front sunshade so you can lower the headliner without breaking it. I hope I helped. Good luck with the work!
Thanks for making the video! I watched many videos on UA-cam to replace the Touareg headliner, and this video was the best! (FYI Touareg is spelled wrong so I guess it didn't catch my search)
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I wasn't even aware that I was spelling the vehicle name wrong the whole time. I corrected it immediately. Thanks a lot.
Hey man, I am commenting here trying my luck, I have a Touareg and the headliner is in really bad condition. I want to do this repair, you've shown very well how to get the headliner out, but where do I get a new one?
Thank you. You have to get the cloth and glue for the headliner and reupholster it, or you can try to get another one from a vw store and replace it. I think the first option is cheaper :D Good luck with the works.

Can i reglue the old sagged cloth?
@@karx555Nope. It is sagging because the foam layer is in a disintegrated process, but you can slow it a little if you place some staples on it.
