3 aliens sit around a table with an average new yorker. The human sits confused looking around at the creatures who are speaking in a strange language. They're holding and gesturing to another bleached human skull. The human is terrified; What horrible fate could await him? Then suddenly one of the creatures hand a slice of New York style pizza to another one who then hands it to the human. The human is confused but accepts the pizza. As he eats it the alien creatures make "dawww" noises
Imagine that scene from Jumanji when Robin Williams shouts "IT'S A STAMPEDE" and the rhinos and stuff burst through the wall, but with a stampede of cavies.
I am like mad watching all of these at freakin 4:30 in the morning because they are so good and interesting. Plus I love Emily as a guest, she is just so smart and wonderful.
"That's a great observation" damn idk just the way she said that made me wish I had a teacher like her when I was little instead of the dead inside, make you watch and have tests on Bill Nye video teachers I got(also wish Bill Nye was my teacher...but tv Bill Nye doesn't count)
Yeah most of the teachers hate their job and just try to find a way to make the day go by. They come and spit the lesson they are supposed to teach and go for a break. Thats the usual stuff. Where I live universities are like that as well... The professors are educated, one of them that I had lessons at was teaching in Harvard and still. It was clear how much he knows, but he was always speaking to himself. He didnt try to engage the audience, he didnt have passion for teaching. He had passion for math, but not for teaching. I hate the education system, but I love knowledge and science to the bone.
At our university we only had ONE professor like that, and when talking to the people at work, some that have worked in my field for twenty years or more, they all have horror stories of how much they hated her lessons, and especially exams. =p
I love all your videos , there always teaching me something new ! I just turned 59 and there is so much out there that I never got to see and learn . I enjoy learning it from your show . Thanks for taking the time to make these videos to share with us all !
The sloth skull featured is from a Choloepus (two toed) sloth, which have an unusually few 5 neck vertebrae and cannot swim, if they fall in water they can easily drown. They are a very different mammal from the Bradypus (three-toed) sloth, which has a surprisingly numerous 9 vertebrae in their neck, allowing them to hold their head up high and swim like a champ. I am certain the skull is not Bradypus because they DO NOT have incisors/canines like a Choloepus, they have peg teeth. The skull Emily displayed was definitely from the non-swimming Choloepus, displaying the characteristic diastema (tooth gap) and ever-growing incisors.
Brilliant episode Hank! Always nice to see Emily, and adorable really does just about cover it :D I really enjoyed watching, and it was very informative.
This is so great. It reminds me of how in elementary school people from the wildlife center would bring animals for us to touch and experience. Thank you for making this
I love these series, especially when the skulls are involved. It's so much fun to try to figure out what those skulls are. Also, now I'm gonna search for "Swimming sloth".
Sloths usually swim when the rain-forest floods. It's usually the 3-toed species (there's more than one species of three-toed, the same case with the two-toed) that carry the algae on their fur and are also the ones seen swimming.
Oh my gosh when patches came out everything just got so much better haha. LOVED this episode! I had no idea sloths had those TEETH. Holy hell. That would be a nasty bite. Really interesting specimens and talks today, keep up the good work, guys!
May we please have the show sound and the intro/outro sound about the same level? I turned it up to hear what ya'all were saying, and then the outro just about blew me out of my chair. And thank you for the great show.
I noticed you have granite counter tops and it made me think you should do an episode on granite. I only think this because I recently starting working in stone crafting and have become curious about the environmental effects of mining granite.
I am surprised that she didn't mention the Cavy's 'wheet' sound in this video. If they had included that there would have been a lot more awes in the video. Also proud to work with Cavies!
It was also so very much softer than the intro and outro music, which means that the outro music blasted out far too loud after I adjusted the volume to hear the episode.
Adorable Cavies FTW! Best SciShow yet, Hank. (Of course Imy opinion is biased since I have two guinea pigs.) it was nice seeing Emily Graslie as a guest, too! Thanks Hank...and DFTBA!
Agreed. When I set the volume to the point that the loud parts were at normal volume, I could not hear most of what was said. Audio level inconsistency - within videos and between videos - is my biggest annoyance with youtube.
emily's enthusiasm is so infectious, even through a laptop screen.
so is hanks.
Emily is literally my favourite human being. look how excited she is as soon as hank guesses even remotely close about something!
"The average geographical range of the sloth is one or two trees."
I love that sentence.
The perfect SciShow. Emily Graslie and Jessi from Animal Wonders.
Emily is so adorable when she gets to hold the guinea pig!
Here, let me fix that for you: Emily is so adorable - period.

Jessi and her critters are always a highlight!

Oscar the Grouch is green because of all the moss growing in his otherwise orange fur.
I just discovered Sci Show Talk Show. I love Sci Show & Crash Course but this is really really refreshing to have people talking at a normal pace!!!
Emily is so excited to talk about her specimen. My that is attractive.
It's so cool to see people who are genuinely excited about their work! Y'all are the best ambassadors.
Favourite episode ever!
These animals are always SO adorable. I don't think you understand how much I want that job.
Sloth = Lion Turtle
+Nobody you care about my thoughts exactly!
Exactly what I was thinking

Two toed sloths can swim, and do so surprisingly well. Watch some animal planet
Brilliant episode Hank! Always nice to see Emily, and adorable really does just about cover it :D I really enjoyed watching, and it was very informative.
I know this is off topic but I love Emily's dress!
I also love watching these guys react to animals.
The enthusiasm from everyone is so infectious! A great SciShow talk show episode. Thanks :)
It's a GUINEA DEER!!!
This is so great. It reminds me of how in elementary school people from the wildlife center would bring animals for us to touch and experience. Thank you for making this
That explains why my friend that was mauled by a sloth has 3 ridiculously deep puncture wounds.
Mauled by a sloth? Is that even possible? How slow if your friend.....
It was a really fast sloth that tried to attack Matt Lauer on live TV.
It was definitely a sloth. This one was just really mean.
Graham Hunt
How do you know? Did you see the two-toed claws or other identifiable features?
She was a two toed sloth. This sloth is one of the animal ambassadors at Busch Gardens. Also the only sloth I've seen scuttle across the ground.
I LOVE the talk show. Especially with the new location and all. Please keep doing these, guys! They're awesome.
Hank is all about Emily. I don't blame him.
Definitely, THE coolest episode of SciShow Talk Show I've seen. SO COOL.
Awww Emily dressed up all nice and pretty for Hank this episode!!
too much foreplay, hope they at it already
he's married....
Hank's wife must hate Emily
I believe that Emily is dressed up for Hank's wife.
i love emily's enthusiasm about everything all the time. shes my favorite!
Emily is bae
+luke tazbier Hank is bae
thejarladar true
+luke tazbier the cavy is bae
The sound that hank make when he see sth adorable is the most adorable sound guy can make! He is the cutest!!!
you should really normalize the audio across those episodes. its annoying as hell to adjust all the time :D
love this show. helps me see the diversity of life this planet has
I've always thought intelligence makes girls appear way sexier!
Redhead Nature girl! Adorable! And Red Dress girl! Super cute!
Loved this episode!
Emily, Hank and jessi + animals is all I want to watch
Emily is so pretty and attractive, what a lovely girl!
I know, right? Her enthusiasm is so infectious! :D
Easily one of the best talkshow episodes
I really love this show. I love learning about new animals each week! :D
I love how Emily immediately starts almost talking baby talk when the guinea pig enters :3
Favorite scishow talk show in a while, this one was really great!
I absolutely love it when Emily is on scishow
This was one of the most interesting and adorable scishow talks :D
Cuteness overload. They are to cute to be alive
I love this show please never stop making it.
I love these series, especially when the skulls are involved. It's so much fun to try to figure out what those skulls are. Also, now I'm gonna search for "Swimming sloth".
I would just be squealing in the presences of such cuteness!

I am fond of learning experiences surrounding R.O.U.S. and always pleased to see three of my favorite UA-camrs and their fuzzy friends. Thanks!
I had a guinea pig. She died about a few months ago. Thanks for being back my sorrow,SciShow
Agreed, the Hank/Emily/Jessi combo on this show is the best.
I just want to hug them! I think this is the most adorable episode so far. Lol
I love Emily's enthusiasm.
can't tell which was cuter, the animals or emily's excitement over them
omg.... love this show. Excited to get science-smarter watching this as the sloths info just rocked my world.
This was by far the best scishow Talk Show ever! :D
they look so great together.
"it comes to the ground once a week to defacate" hank laughs
lol
These three together are a good combination.
loving the new interview space
I love love love this talkshow :) it's both entertaining and informative. well done! :)
So good to see Jessi again.
This video is the happiest video ever. Just so cute, all of it!
I imagine ppl are always happy to see Jessi, like how could you not be? Cute animals! But also all 3 of these are adorable, amazing beans
First SciShow Talk Show I've ever seen *goes back and watches them all*
my laptop exploded after the guinea pig was brought in from an overload of cuteness
This is my favorite part of scishow.
"The sloth is the world"
It's sloths all the way down
Oh my gosh when patches came out everything just got so much better haha. LOVED this episode! I had no idea sloths had those TEETH. Holy hell. That would be a nasty bite. Really interesting specimens and talks today, keep up the good work, guys!
I was smiling for the whole show.
May we please have the show sound and the intro/outro sound about the same level? I turned it up to hear what ya'all were saying, and then the outro just about blew me out of my chair. And thank you for the great show.
This episode was full of adorable scientific enthusiasm.
Awesome show, you guys are absolutely fantastic!
Too much adorable for one show.
I've died of cuteness overload 0.0 thats the most adorable thing i've ever seen
Many thanks, my curiosity on that particular matter is now sated!
CONGRATS ON 1,000,000 SUBSCRIBERS!
I noticed you have granite counter tops and it made me think you should do an episode on granite. I only think this because I recently starting working in stone crafting and have become curious about the environmental effects of mining granite.
My face hurts from grinning so much. Cavis are adorable!!!
I am surprised that she didn't mention the Cavy's 'wheet' sound in this video. If they had included that there would have been a lot more awes in the video. Also proud to work with Cavies!
Probably the best animal visitor to date! So adorable >,
It was also so very much softer than the intro and outro music, which means that the outro music blasted out far too loud after I adjusted the volume to hear the episode.
The most adorable CiShow talk show so far! The only thing that would have made it cuter, was if they had brought an actual sloth.
Adorable Cavies FTW! Best SciShow yet, Hank. (Of course Imy opinion is biased since I have two guinea pigs.) it was nice seeing Emily Graslie as a guest, too! Thanks Hank...and DFTBA!
over whelmed by cuteness
Emily, you're amazing. You too, Hank... but I can't stop grinning when I'm watching Emily. Super Awesome Emily.
Agreed. When I set the volume to the point that the loud parts were at normal volume, I could not hear most of what was said. Audio level inconsistency - within videos and between videos - is my biggest annoyance with youtube.
I thought I noticed that too. My computer's volume is usually pretty terrible, but I had to plug in my headphones for this one.
Can't. Look. Away. Too. ADORABLE!
SciShow Talk Show is great
I love the noises Guinea Pigs make :3
So adorable.
Two favorite ladies on the same show!
"You can stampede me!" xD LOLOLOL I love Emily :)
I've seen cavies at Whipsnade Zoo, they let them roam freely :-)
Oh, man, so cute. I love these talk shows
I showed my Guinea Pig this video. He seemed excited about his species being represented in the media.
This "patagonian cavy" is actually called Patagonian Mara... I should know, I live in Patagonia! Thanks for featuring this species, great episode!
These are my favorite sci-shows
Its so cool/weird seeing animals you never knew existed!
