Traxxas Rustler 2wd troubleshoot and no $ repair transmission Diff hack

Just out enjoying the hobby with my wife and noticed the Rustler was not running as well as it should so I did some troubleshooting and this video is about the free fix no $$ spent solution

The output gear needs to be shimmed, the slipper is gonna cause issues since the ear plugs locks up the diff, get a slipper eliminator, and pack the trans case with some red and tacky grease

@@TKSHobby I run a bandit vxl and had that same problem with that gear getting rubbed on, the shims help a lot and the red and tacky grease also keeps the gears running smoothly and also can put it in the diff as well.

If your bashing the last thing you want is a slipper eliminator. Thats just asking for trouble with drive train parts, that the slipper is ment to protect.

That’s true I’m trying out a combo of lock diff and keeping the slipper right now because I’m not drag racing but I may upgrade to the new transmission soon so I’m not spending any more on the current drive train if I can help it.
