I have a Transit workpack and a transit backpack from Bellroy. The shoulder strap will loosen, and backpack gets lower and lower even as i walk and move my shoulder... I wasn't carrying a heavy load and just 15inch laptop, afew textbooks, a 500ml water bottle and some small accessories, weight total of less than 4kg. Bellroy's shoulder straps have been a problem since I bought both my backpacks from them in October 2021. It's a major design and materials flaws and frustrating when using their bag on a daily basis. I hope viewers make sure that problem is fixed before buying. Anyway, as of December 2022, Bellroy offers no solution to that.
I own this backpack and used ist for around 3 Month. There Are 2 Big issues with this backpack. The Straps will get loose when the backpack is half Full (like 5 kg) and the Straps dont stay in Place on my shoulder. . they Slip to the side. The Rest of the backpack is awsome. But in cause of this to issues i replqced it
Appreciate the detailed review! I’m torn between this and Boundary Supply Rennen backpack. The Xpac version Rennen seems more durable to me (and it seems to be able to stand on its own), but the organisation design on this Bellroy is more attractive to me. How would you compare them in terms of comfort level carrying a full-load including a laptop?
Hello, based on the dimensions, they are pretty similar in dimensions. The Bellroy Transit Workpack 20L is just a tad bigger than the Urth Norite 24L in terms of width and depth. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Hi there! Bellroy has acknowledged that some customers have experienced loose straps with their backpacks. However, their customer service team has addressed this issue by offering webbing keepers that can be used to fix the problem. We hope this information helps, and if you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. - Kez
Thank you for the review and the links as well. I had already placed my Bellroy before seeing this review, and just used your link for the memo bottle. Thanks! New sub.
@@RushfasterTV hmmm, may I ask if there is an alternative of this kind of clamshell backpack that has a better air ventilated back panel and also a good laptop and side access pocket?
Hi Ed, From what I've seen, this bag fits a deceptively large amount of stuff. Would you be able to answer if it fits more or less than the Evergoods CPL24 v2? I've seen the beer tests but wondering more about everyday goods Thanks!
This backpack is EDC/commute-oriented bag and best for work and gym use. You may want to check out the Bellroy 16" Transit Backpack 28L and the bigger Bellroy 16" Transit Plus Backpack 38L for extra capacity backpacks built to flex between commutes and travels. Cheers!
Hmm depends which fabric you get it in, the bag comes in a few different colours, some are definitely more lint magnety, some are actually more smoother than others. - Ed
Environmentally certified leather is still leather. Aka a dead animals skin. Really? We live in 2021 AD not 2021 BC. Think I'll stick with my Aer Tech Pack 2. Great video, thanks Ed!
Digging the beer test, do it for all videos
Haha... glad you like it. - Daniel

So keen to get this backpack but black seems to be sold out everywhere :(
For those who don’t want to spend so much on this bag, the Patagonia Arbour 20L is a great alternative.
Big fan of the 18L Atom Pack too, decent use of space and dedicated laptop compartment.
Hi,
Would you be able to fit a 13-inch MacBook Pro and a 10.2 inch iPad in the laptop compartment at the same time?
is this bag smaller than the Urth Norite? or pretty similar in size

@@RushfasterTV thanks! does that mean the Norite has a bigger inner volume given the 24L vs. 20L?
been waiting for this one, thanks for the review! keep up the good work :)
Read many reviews about the strap being loose. Any owners experiencing it?

This is an unstructured bag. It could strech a bit. That's why it could pack more than other similarly sized bag
Will the side bottle pocket fit a 24oz hydroflask? That’s my main concern about this bag, but great review and video!
Up to 20 oz I think
I really like this bad, is it good as a weekended for travel abroad ?or is it better did transit backpack?

Didn't crumpler originally create there bags to hold beer lol.
They definitely had a beer for bags sale. - Daniel
@@RushfasterTV I think that’s whole reason the Barney came about to carry a slab
Heard this bag is a lint magnet. Is this true?

Need a review of the evergoods access pouch...🤩
Where is the Bellroy Melbourne video?
Thanks!
