I’m a Liverpool fan and Pep isn’t overrated at all. He’s a world class manager and we all know he’s a chequebook one too. He’s even admitted he can only use his system with certain players that fit it

I'm fuming with the Eddie Howe shout..... Lewis is bang on with this. I'm a Bournemouth fan and without him we would never be in the Championship, let alone the Prem. Howe is a future England manager. He took us from -17 points in league 2 (if we were relegated we would of been liquidated), to finishing 9th in the premier league in 7 seasons..... the only reason people don't remember that is cause that was the season Leicester won the league.....
Great manager, did a fantastic job at Bournemouth, doing a fantastic job at Newcastle too. I'd take him for England. But it's a myth that he did it without spending a bomb

Most impressive, they certainly worried us for a long time during the game. A manager to watch.
As we have seen all year, if pep was at Liverpool we would not be seeing any of liverpools issues because city has had the same issues before where there was no lb or rb and in fact pep has never actually had a traditional lb consistently since he’s been at city yet he find solutions but this year when klopp has a rb yet he can’t make the rn role work even tho Trent is amazing. You can talk about money all you like but Pep is clear of klopp.
This hurt to read and the reason Pep never struggles when not having a traditional role for that position is because he’s got 3-6 world class players that can cover or play a similar role lmao take away his spending power at City and he’ll have the same struggles every other manager deals with
@@thatonebirtyd5058 you’re kind of lying because how is it that when Mendy was not available pep made delph play lb who is a midfielder and he had an amazing season there and then when he left zinchenko also played there and he was a a cam and did an amazing job at lb. Now ake is playing there who is a cb traditionally and he looks amazing at lb. Even Laporte played there and he’s not a lb either but looked amazing. I can go on and on about how pep brings out the best in players because of his system which allows players to play in multiple roles without too much of a drop off or any for that matter. Klopp last year said he doesn’t need a midfielder and then lost out to Madrid on their no.1 signing and then he was stubborn all year and lost out on ucl spots but finally he humbled himself and put trent in mid. Pep is easily better than klopp with or without money
@@fader1912 So Pep had a variety of players to shift into those roles who weren’t injured and were good enough for first team football compared to Liverpool being full of injuries in the midfield with sure Trent who can play there but then who plays out at RB for us? Gomez was injured for half the season, Matip and Konate also injured for majority of the season, Keita, Oxlade Chamberlain, Thiago all injured for most of the season lmfao so if Trent moves up into the midfield that leaves our RB role to who exactly? Teenagers who don’t have the stamina, physicality or experience/confidence to play at the top level yet compared to City having players who have been playing at the top level in other clubs for many years who he can trust instead of worrying about them being a wild card… I think Pep tactically is the best manager of the last decade and it’s not really close in that regard but would it be the same with Pep if he didn’t have the check book to have all these extra players he could afford to play around with

Even as a real madrid fan, guardiola is top 5 managers of the last 50 years (only saying 50 cause beyond that i dont know too well). This guy has changed football forever and set the standard in both la liga and the premier league. The point of Howe getting Bournemouth to the league at all is fair but he spent loads on shit players, they shouldn’t have been getting relegated regardless if they deserved to be there or not, tho if they got promoted back to back then they clearly did deserve to be there in my opinion, you don’t get back to back promotions and stay in the league and not deserve it.

Depends how you gauge who’s better, Klopp usually gets the better of Pep in games but obviously Pep has had more success, but you also have to look at spending and all that. I think there’s gonna be an argument there because we’ve never seen Pep do what Klopp has had to do with building a team up

He doesn't have the luxury to sign a player and if he doesn't work chuck him out and get another two next season, he is stuck with certain players and can't get new ones until the older ones are sold. Pep on the other hand can get whatever player he wants, case in point the x number of fullbacks he has got. Got Philips for 50 mill who doesn't even play, he can chuck him out next season and get his replacement even if it means player is sold on a loss.
