Good morning everyone! I’m going to be a grandpa today!
Congrats
Congratulations, you will be a great one! 👍
Dont blink ! I remember catching my first born as she came out... 1979... and now... I'm A "GREATGRANDPA"
CONGRATULATIONS
Congrats
Congratulations!🎉
Is it worth the cost? You have the equipment. It keeps you out of Melissa's way. You enjoy it....... priceless!
And when you step back and look at your finished cabin walls, you can be happy with your work and say, “I did that”. Outstanding 👍👏🏻🇺🇸🚜
You gave me a smile with that story with the log at the gate! We have two small dogs, and one is practically an escape artist, plotting weekly prison breaks and getting into all sorts of mischief. A few months ago, he jumped on some pallets, hit a spade that unlocked one of the horse boxes, and let one of the horses out, I could almost not believe it when I saw it on the surveillance cameras 😂. Meanwhile, his laid-back partner in crime just tags along like, 'Sure, why not?'
Milling your own softwood dimensional lumber gives you a much higher quality product compared to anything available from the local lumber yard or big box store. For your own projects, its definitely worth it.
I think if I ever need a road built. I am going to call mike morgan! That is a very beautiful road. Mike you should be proud of it! 😊
Now you need to factor in the cost of the satisfaction you get cutting and using the wood. Just saying, it worth something.
It’s always worth it Mike when you’re enjoying yourself as you always say we have limited time so we enjoy every minute of what we do specially with our grandchildren
Your new sign really looks good. Good design😊😊
Goo morning Mike still nothing beets having the pride that you personal put your hard work and personal touch on something in the end!
Morning Mike, don't forget to bring a drywall spreader to scrape off the sawdust on the boards when you go to the cabin to stack your boards, I found it helps a lot. Nice Boards!
You nailed it with that display as it picks up on the Kubota and Sthil colors. Making your own lumber is 100% worth it as you can control the quality and customize the size and type of lumber you need for each project. Price aside Box stores can't do all of that. I'm always amazed at the sheer power that Skid Steer has. Have a great day
Firewood bin design.
Place nine pallets on the ground in a square and put pallet sides on them. Diagonal brace wire inside will help to support the sides. This type of bin has very good ventilation when the wood is tossed in. The reason it is square is to allow for a tall peak.
At this point, I'm only part time with my mill, but just with the hardwoods being taken down in the neighborhood, I cannot keep up - so luckily I have all the red oak and poplar I can cut. The local arborists are happy to dump their logs with me as there is no value to them for the hardwoods - they actually have to pay to dispose of them. Pine is a different matter for them - there is a large mill nearby and they get $50/ton for pine logs
Love the logo. Still think Melissa needs a second Henry to balance out that display. 17HMR, she'll love it and the varmints will hate it!
Levi did an EXCELLENT job of stacking all that firewood in the shed!!!!! Looks great!
Mike add in "your not going to a gym". And that's priceless. It appears to be good looking lumber.
Hello Mike, I've been a heavy equipment operator for many years and I will say that I'm impressed with your operating skills and the quality of your work... and I don't impress easy🙂
I don't have the talent you have for a lot of things. I've watched for a long time. My favorite thing you own is control of your day. I think that is amazing.
Good morning y'all !!! Hope everyone's day is a great one, new sign looks awesome Mike.
Hello from British Columbia
We've had Simplisafe since 2012 and we !ove it!!
Good almost afternoon Morgan's and everyone on this beautiful sunny day out here in Bucks county pa . Have a day people.
Mike and Melissa - Congratulations !! A gift from God - every one of them, and we have seven !! Don't forget Mike, you'll now be married to a 'Grandma' from now on !! LOL !! 🙏💞🇺🇸
Good morning Morgan’s. Back in 1997 we took down several 70’ + Norway spruce trees and I hired a guy with a mobile woodmizer saw ( I don’t remember the model sorry) to cut it in to lumber for my house remodel project. I believe he charged me .15 a board ft. To do it. I had the logs all ready for him so all he did was cut. 3200 bd ft total. I used most of it in our basement for trim and a huge entertainment center in our tv room.
I like the new logo. Thanks for the sticker that was in the mail with my shirt.
Mike when my family owned a rubber roll and hose plant we took material and labor X 2.1285 and this gave us our selling price. It covered all overhead (equipment costs, taxes, depreciation etc) It would be interesting to see how this works out on your lumber.. Regardless the enjoyment is priceless!
Love the Sign. Flintstone Aggie colors.!!!! My hometown and where I live. Was so crazy to see you 20 mins from where i live in MD looking at those old trucks. I always tell my wife and kids that one day we will cross paths and i will get to meet you in person!! Huge fan. We live in a very rural area and watch all your videos!! Keep the sign black and orange!! Have a good weekend Mike and Melisa!
Good Morning Mike. A couple of weeks ago I had our TRI-STATE building insulated. Turned out great. Very nice husband and wife team spayed 3in on ceiling and 2in on walls. Looking forward to hearing about your experience with the insulation contractor.
We got our shirts in the mail today... and a new logo sticker AND a nice note from Mike
Beautiful Sign love it.
Good to see family and friends helping out. Great channel, great content.
I could not figure out what the heck you were doing w that log!! You put it in front of the gate!!?? When you told us, i laughed. Of course, must keep Archie and Axel out of trouble. Then i wondered where the geck he was putting those cut boards. Then it finally dawned on me, you're not pulling a trailer. I'm just running slow this morning. Happy to hear the insulation is to begin. I know it will be a while, but i keep thinking about Hunter and the grandkids, and their reaction at the cabin. It's so cool that from my first watch of your channel, I'm continually looking forward to something. Mike, you have a great channel, always such good stuff. I can't thank you enough for sharing your real life w all of us. In this crazy world today, it's so nice to have good, healthy, clean, real life content to enjoy. Bless you, and thank you!!👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
I can't believe you have orange in your logo. 😉😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣

You didn't figure in state and local sales taxes.
Good Morning Morgan Family 🌞- Have a Fantastic and Blessed Day 🤠. It’s finally summer out here in Montana.
Those Kubotas , especially the 97-2 are the best dirt moving machines ever produced. This is where this unit shines. I love this machine.
Thank you for the video.
Thank you for another video.
any job, done well, is worth it. and you are retaining your skills and making new ones. never a loss there.
Sign looks great! Nice work Mike!
Love the sign it looks really good. Can't wait to see the new trailer! Have a good day.
Thank you for the video
Thanks Mike !!
Loved The Vidio !!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
We’ve been having the same kind of weather too here in Southern Indiana.
Good morning Morgans, another blessed great day.
The road to Morgan Park looks great.
You are correct , tight margins . I use $.30 a board foot as cost of milling , per board foot .
Watching you secure the stack of lumber in your truck with the ratchet strap taught me a better way. I always went over the top instead of wrapping the strap around the stack. Smart!
Great productive day and video today Mike. I like the logo too. Looking forward to your trip to the cabin tomorrow.
Good morning Morgans and friends. Going to be another warm one today. Hopeful for rain this evening. Dry as a bone here. Have a day! Thanks
Hi Michael!
@@davidmorse8432good morning sir
Good morning!
@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans good morning Mike. Their saying heat is on its way. Warm the last cpl days but humidity not bad, "so far." Send rain please! Lol
Morning Michael... fields here are damp to wet, hopefully they dry up a bit this weekend... I'll do a rain dance for you 😂
Mike love the family dogs and videos. May I ask a question? Why the new road to the meadow? I thought you had a road at the wood yard. Just wondering why you put a road right through your front yard?
Thanks
John
Well done !! ❤❤❤❤❤
Morning outdoors fam👋👋
Nothing better than turning a log into some beautiful lumber
Good morning Mike and Melissa. Great video as usual. Thanks 👍❤️
Can't wait to see the cabin done, Mike you need a place to relax with mellisa and hunt and cookout, enjoy
Awesome sign !!
I helped a friend cut 8500 board feet from 200 logs I had saved when I had a pond built in 2000. Some were really small and some were really big. It was a mix of Ash, Walnut, Red Oak and Black Oak. It cost me .13 a board foot to have mine cut back then. The friend had a Wood Mizer mill he used. I helped him by dragging the logs up to the mill with my old Massey Harris 101 Jr Tractor. I still own it too. The trees would have been under water, so I cut them down and had the lumber cut from the logs.
Heck yes! It's fun, it's cool and it's useful. No doubter!!
Thanks mike. Another great video
Nice looking logo..good colors.
Like the new sign! Go with it.
my top sellers as for lumber is Ambrosha Maple and Cherry, walnut is the third in amount sold. oak is ok. any white oak does sell but not the quanitity. The market changes so fast it will make you head spin. most of the people that buy from me are local carpenters/artist. looking for uniquic lumber.
The new logo is looking nice, that certainly is a heavy duty looking bed cover.
Hot dry day here in north west Arkansas and no sign of rain in the near future. Mid 90 for the next week. High humidity to boot. Enjoy your nice weather.
hi there nice show , best to all john
All that hard work looks like fun. Always moving. Always doing something. Loving life! Looks like it's worth it to me.
The question is “do you like to do the sawing and all”? Can you get the quality you want from the big box stores? Not likely.
Good job!
Mike, Great looking logo!
I sure hope you will use the bigger pieces of wood debris in your outdoor firepit. It may not last as long as a normal split, but it will still burn nicely. Much better than wasting it in the brush pit.
it's a great sign
It’s simply safe to say you got a lot of things going on.
Love your new logo sign…I think that is a winner!💯
Great job
Keep it going Michael.
New logo design looks great 👍
At the 6:00 mark I see the makings of a deer stand for at the WV property!
I ain't kidding!!! I was given a "child's fort" and turned it into a hunting blind. Simple, but efficient.
Like the new hunter orange logo sign, your lumber business not making a lot but it's saving you a bunch for projects and for the cabin plus you love doing it and that's priceless, enjoyed the video on my birthday 69 time is sure flying by,love you guys
Good morning Morgan’s! Love the logo sign Mike! Simple, to the point and the colors are awesome! God bless you and your family! Stay safe! Bye!
One great thing about Simpli safe! If the Internet is down Simpli safe still works! Most systems rely on the Internet! But not Simple Safe! I love it
Morning Mike.... nice day ahead in sunny ontario.... enjoy!
Pete 🇨🇦
Hi Pete, We should have good weather also today. Clear skies and high of 91° F.
Have a great Canadian day!
Good morning, 65f on north shore Lake Erie. Gotta work on honey do list early today 😊
@davidmorse8432 You too my Southern Buddy... only going into the 70s, but 90 by the weekend.... enjoy...
good morning Pete 😸
@@fixinanddoinstuff2134 good luck, my job barrel is kinda full...
Really enjoy the videos Mike, i have learned a lot about sawmills, and things you show. While watching the Skid Loader taking the dirt off the top of the ground i thought, man what a beast that machine is powerful, with it and the excavator, there is not much you cannot do. Looking forward as always to the trip to West Virginia. The peaceful, restful and beautiful place, where memories of many hours of love and fellowship of family and friends will last for years to come. The animals there are fantastic. It is surely an Oasis of nature and just a beautiful place to be. I think is is worth much more than the cost, labor of love as well :)
When are you going to Mount the car number plates you had viewers send in?
Good one
Mike, I think the occasional civil war history lesson would be a good fit to you channel.
Like your sign. Impressive and is an accent to your channel
mike put your finish lumber inside to climetize if that is where you intende on using it. i like your choices!!
Logo looks good my man!
Not to rain on the Simply Safe thing but neighbors were broke into by thieves cutting the cable box on the side of the house…of course no internet …no simplysafe
Simply safe also uses cell phone signal back up. Something about that story doesn't add up.
Mike I like the new logo. Looks great. Safe travels to WV
Great video!
Where I'm at most of the year, I'd have to go to Lowes to buy the pine if I didn't have my own mill, and their crappy pine is over $3/bdft for 1x6 pine. For 2x4's or 2x6's, it makes no sense for me to cut my own, as the big box stores produce boards that are so much cheaper and more uniform than I can make them (though I have to pick through some).
For what you are doing, using them for your own walls, it's worth doing even apart from the price. Nothing I love better than to be able to say, "I cut down the tree, made the boards, and built that myself". Obviously, hardwoods are more valuable to sell, but pine is great for your walls.
Mike Morgan another excellent video 😮😊❤
Might be some good content for Eva's channel to film their time in the Wood yard.
If you like sawing lumber and you can make a little money doing it, i say thats a win. I am looking forward to seeing the cabin finish work. I think that pine will look really good in it. Stay safe everybody
👍👍👍👍👍👌Yup it all makes sense , plus the bonus of self supply!!
Good mornig morgans . Nice lumber . Seeya
