You've already got a replacement heater core for this truck. The 378 377 379 shared the same cab and frame the only difference was the hood and fenders on them.
Ur dad, standing in front of motor with a speed wrench, to attempt to CRANK the motor over was way to funny !!! 😂 yall did an excellent job turning that truck around(upgrades and repairs), BUT it needs a WELKER FARMS decal on the doors !!!
Done lots of those pins and bushings and hangers . I have seen the grease pin worn over 1/2 the way thorough. As a mechanic I earned a good living with a grease gun . Surprise how many pins would not take grease. Good honest day of hard work . Thanks for sharing
You guys make the mistakes look so funny cause you already knew that may happen You Boys have to make Dad Welker Proud every day!!! God Bless and Great Work!!!
Love the channel guys! I love how you all use teamwork to complete a task, whether its field work, fixing equipment or fabricating, you all complete a project together and i love that about this channel! Keep up the good work Welkers!
Hello there, we've all been wondering where you've been all this time, never mind that for now, you're here now & that's the important thing. Welcome to Welker Farms World, sit back, relax & enjoy. 😀
Hey you guys! This is one AWESOME video! When you were cranking it over I was chanting "come on....START" I actually held my breath! When it started it sounded absolutely sweet! Can't wait to see what happens next! Until your next video ~~~ Stay safe, healthy and happy!
Nick. I worked at the largest Surface Coal Mine in Wv. I was in maintenance for 20 years, if we had a oil cooler go bad, we would put a box of Calgon water softener in it and let it run for 30 minutes and repeat till no oil was on top of water in radiator, it took about 3 times. It’s cheaper and faster, great video !
I don't know why I didn't start watching you sooner. You all have become one of my new favorite farming channels to watch. Please keep up the long content I love it!
@@WelkerFarms Means a lot to me too to have great content to watch. SO.. I decided to snag a hoodie as well don't thank Scott for telling me to go to the store or anything either ;)
In a way I’m jealous of you, for the simple reason that there is such a back catalogue of content that you’re only discovering. Everything from the big bud restoration, the international restoration, making the screener, both house build series, the big brute conversions all the bin builds, the lake house restoration… and then the actual farming content, all the planting and harvesting. I’m just now realising that I’ve been watching you guys for the best part of 8 years!!
Love the new truck. 50 year driver loves the straight pipes! But my hearing aids say don’t do it! 😂you guys will do the right thing. You always do. Love your channel !
Nice job guys she done well to start on 2 batteries with dry injectors my cats had little timing in them and didn't even like three always had to have the 4th in winter lol good to see it coming together make a nice truck for Yas might not hurt to loosen u bolts on axle and let those springs center they might have moved on axle when spring pin bushings wore and someone tightened them up little off center be alot of sideways wear on them aluminum brackets just a thought
Scott, Nick. Can you imagine how good those aluminum tanks would look if a guy was to buff them out. I know as a dedicated viewer I would like to see that.
Ah yah, comealong on a leaf spring had me scared for a bit. I had a bottle jack on an ibeam on main rail of a 14k trailer once in order to reweld. The first seemed a little sketchy but worked fine. The 2nd one seemed better positioned and needed to move less prior to welding...well It came off and split my lip and nearly knocked me out.
Great job guys. One thing though. Might check the kingpins since those spring shackles and pins were so hammered out. I’m excited to see it put to work
Sounds great and running super clean. I can't wait to see it in action! So it isn't quite so jealous around Big Brute. Is this truck going to get some under light treatment? Take care and God bless!
Those bolts on the suspension are not the bolts you think they are. They are huck bolts peterbuilt’s are put together with them. Most suspension, frame and body parts are put together with huck bolts. This is a very interesting system you should investigate this they will not unscrew.
No hate just some friendly advice next time take to chisels and there should be a split in them aluminum blocks that go to the holes for the pins use the chisels and open them up just alittle bit and they will fall right on no problem like I said no hate
Now gents, Im going to be honest there's one point of your video (well 2, but I'll get to the lack of Bob's dad jokes later) that I don't like... Scott cutting that fibreglass sounded exactly like a dentist drill,, Aaaaand those memories me no likey 😖 🤣 🤣 That aside, man those pipes sound awesome, lovely to see the truck move and all your hard work pay off! But boys, respect your dad, and your older audience because us old (or auld as us Scots say) gentlemen need our weekly dad jokes fix 😁 God bless you all, stay safe
It's great to watch you guys take older equipment and fix it up. Not all farmers can afford to own/lease all new stuff.
Great job Bob and sons!
I DO NOT THINK THERE IS A BUSINESS ANYWHERE THAT COULD AFFORD YOU GUYS SKILLS. AWESOME AND VERY PROUD OF THE BOTH OF YOU. BLESSINGS
I’m not sure there’s a business that could afford to not employ them!
Nothing beats the sound of a straight piped CAT
Indeed, but I am looking at where they sit and it looks to me like they now have mirrors full of stack. They're well away from the cab side.
Agreed.

New favorite channel right here! Love this series with the 377! It’s definitely a clean truck!
Glad you enjoy it!
Glad y’all proved the square peg will fit in the round hole once again. Nice ride
Nothing like turning that key on new engine and it fires up.
Congratulations on job well done.
Except it is the same engine from the old truck, just painted.
Your toolbox is keenly obvious. It makes many engine men really envious. Congrats on your grand success.
the old reliable fire wrench comes to the rescue
The ollllle smoke wrench

When all else fails go for the “hot wrench”!
JB Weld is a coolers best friend.
You should’ve done those bushings before that big old yellow motors in the way
Sounds awesome lads, tune that to 550bhp, she will sing and pull like a train 👍
love the vid keep it up
If you need some parts and Peterbuilt doesn't have, check Dirk's Classic Truck in Montevideo, MN 56265.
Could have bolted that bar to the crank and let your Dad start it but he may break the rev limiter so probably best to use the starter.
I usually use Mobil 1 synthetic oil on my car

Okay nick you said use rubber gloves 🧤🧤 where was yours when touching the stainless steel pipes 🧐🤔😂
your oil pressure is low, you should have 60ish psi at idle hot, near a 100 cold above idle.
