yup I started making powerful blowguns and darts around 13, deadly, I still hunt with them.

I am 59 years old and have hunted with a .38 diameter blowpipe since i was 9 years old. The same exact one.
A bamboo dart with a flint or glass chipped point is formidable to any small to medium game. Having half a century of experience at it helps as well.. I don't ever recall flighting a dart at anything bigger than a coyote , but would be pretty confident that I could damage both lungs on the small whitetail deer in my area. My darts are 12 inches long and made from heat hardened bamboo. The points are glass or flint and sometimes hammered iron. And the other end has a tuft of cotton to catch the "hot air" I produce.. my most modern device I use in the process is a microwave oven to dry my darts when straightening them instead of my old method of laying them between two hot concrete blocks by a fire. I practice on lots of things but the most fun is flying bumblebees.. you get to where you can hit a bee in flight on a regular basis, most other quarry is relatively easy.. And for any unwanted multi-legged critters that get inside my house,, my blowpipe turns into a "Spit-ball " shooter from hell ! Although full on direct hits are messy and must be cleaned up immediately... SPLAT!!.
I must say that a blowpipe is one of the most underestimated weapons on the planet. Especially with some of the more exotic poisons that Paleo cultures employ.. but I will not name here.. I have often wondered how such deadly and often compound chemicals were discovered 5 to 10 thousand years ago ?

My brothers and I got a blow gun when we were young teens. We quickly figured out that a push pin fit directly into it and in our backs🤣 Our Mom thought we were psychos.

Also how much food did that pig make and how long would it last and how did you keep it from spoiling.. etc. Also especially interested in seeing you fish with your blow gun and also hunting and cooking rock doves. Too cool! Out here in California F&W classes wild pig as "Big Game" [sorry guys its an invasive, destructive pest] and a hunting license is 58 bucks and a pig tag 28 bucks. they ought be paying hunters a bounty for depredating them. And you can only use firearm or bow. Such B.S. !

I know there are some similar questions here but what quiver cover do you run? Homemade? I’ve been looking for a solution to twigs pulling darts out of my blowgun and haven’t figured it out yet. Been considering rubber bands or Velcro.
Just a piece of cloth tape over it. Just to hide the orange when I wear the ghilli suit and also keeps the 3 blades from cutting me on accident. Thanks for watching?

Nice kill what blowgun you shooting I make mine from 1/2 conduit or copper. I polish the inside of the cnduit not much on a copper onw 5ft long
