What I like most is that you are proving that you don't need huge amounts of money to hunt you need the skill to make your own equipment.

After years of bowhunting, stalking and tracking, i finally realised that walk in and sit still was a good way to hunt. Unfortunately as you just shared often you go hungry. It helps if you know where your animals are eating and sleeping.
Now i only hunt the animals in my yard with a camera. Making them feel comfortable so if and when i ever need they will be close for me to hunt for for food. Thanks for showing people what is required to get food in a survival situation.

Loved those cardinals calling on your walk to your stand in the dark. Thats the kind of stuff that's like a delicious cherry on top of the hunting experience. Very cool what youre doing on this channel young man. Never tried making a self bow but for 20 years or so I've been using a homemade 52lb. laminate longbow my dad made in his garage. Switching from a compound after hunting whitetails for 20 years or so with one to that sweet shooting beauty brought the hunting back in to hunting, if you get my drift.

On a comanche bow, does it matter which side of the bow the notch is cut that holds the string? That is, if the notch is on the right side of the upper limb of the bow the string seems to ride more on the right side of the bow and vice versa if the notch is on the left side of the upper limb. Does this matter at all?

Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍🏹 … to string a short plains style bow from a seated (kitchen chair) or horseback position, place the lower tip of the bow against the inside of your right knee bow back towards you, grasp the handle with your right hand, pull down and back with that hand(bracing against the knee), and pushing away at the upper tip with your left hand, fingertips slide the string into the notch or notches, and you should be able to string it. Once again, I enjoy watching your videos.👍👍 let me know how it goes.

Tristen, if you don't mind me saying, you should sew a "cuff" to stiffen up the quiver and bow case mouth. use some red trade wool (you can get it at Crazy Crow trading post) and some white cotton string . glue on a narrow strip of leather to the edge of the mouth, fold the cloth over the edge of the mouth of the quiver etc. and lace it on with the cotton string. it will look good and stiffen up the mouth of the quiver and it will look finished. just a suggestion. hope you don't mind. enjoy watching your Comanche bow hunting adventures.

I like your bow 30 some years ago i made a 48 inch long, bow like yours. mine has a handle and is center shot,it only draws apx. 22 to 23 inches, 45 to 50 pound draw. It might look like a toy bow but it is deadly 20 yds and under.

Watch a lot of videos, and I watched Comanche builders modern day. Comanche builders I mean and they said on horseback the small bows only had one knock on the end of the bow. It is easier., and also on their arrows the tips were thin and just as small as ones they would make out of bone and ones they would make out of stone because if they were too big and made a metal, they just didn’t project well and they would drop off your tips look really large man. Last day you look like you’re in a place where you just don’t have a good vantage point to see what’s around you and laying down you can see anything laying down you should’ve had a better place picked up one with a good view 390 view or whatever you wanna call it you know you want all sides or something behind a tree of some kind maybe I love playing on the ground that ain’t gonna get you nothing
