A wrangler and a rounder are cowboy terms. If he is working as a cowboy, he knows that he can’t truly afford to love this woman even though she is the closest thing to love he has know because of the demands of the job. She is like the love he heard in a love song. ❤
In their era of the 1970's , a rock musician or popular band like The Marshall Tucker Band , could easily equate to the life of a cowboy from a hundred years earlier . You Are Always on the move , having to go from town to town , which is what the job calls for and "settling down" is an impossibility .
I'm so surprised, pleasantly, that you reacted to this song and this great Southern Rock Band. I am also from South Carolina as this band and when this album Carolina Dreams came out, it was super popular and FM played this song frequently. I still love listening to it 40 years later. Thanks for reacting for this song and band. I love your reactions; therefore, I am now a subscriber based on this reaction video. Please continue to explore great southern rock music.
He is talking about having a girl in every town he visits. Its part of being a musician. I really miss these guys me and my uncles use to pick with them in the 80s at barn parties they was the nicest guys you will ever meet. This song was huge in skate rinks in the late 70s and early 80s. My daughter still has a tambourine they signed and gave her in the 80s for her birthday she's 35 now. It's one of her prized possessions. Well other than a guitar strap Stevie Ray gave her.. rip brother
MTB was one of the great Southern Rock bands of the '70s. Their blend of jazz, blues, country and rock was awesome. They were a favorite of mine. If you only listen to one of their albums (but why listen to just one?), I'd recommend "Carolina Dreams".
These guys are absolutely fantastic!! One of my favorite bands of all time. Try some of their longer songs like "24 Hours at a Time", "Every Day I Have the Blues", and "In My Own Way". Enjoyed the reaction very much!!
these guys were from like 15 mins from my hometown and my dad and uncles used to go hunt and drink beers with them all then time....ive heard many stories of shenanigans they all got into with each other,.
This group is from near where I live. I saw them in concert with the Doobie Brothers when I was younger (won't say how long that was), but good music is forever!
Ever one time in your life? Did you ever do it? Your own? Way? Marshall Tucker. I do a tire on why. I got a song called in my own way by the marshall talkerband
Ever do anything your own? Why? You remember how good it made you feel you You've got a boss off of that all right so now martial tucker monsieur They do it their own way, marshall tucker, does they do that song in my own way, by marsh Marshall talker by an in my own way
I thought I heard you might like philosophical songs. Here’s one of the most powerful ones you will ever hear. Better yet it is also sonically beautiful. “The Logical Song” by Supertramp Don’t miss out on that one. Trust Me !!! 😊
Another cool reaction from you guys, how about doing a reaction video to one of the greatest guitar players ever. Rory Gallagher- Calling Card-Hammersmith Odeon 1977 ( Live ), Rory was just a amazing musician and very respected by his peers. Rory was very amazing playing live and his concerts are legendary, he sold over 30 million records thru the 1970's. Check out Rory Gallagher, the Irish guitar wizard. Thank you 🤩.
You would enjoy their song Fire On the Mountain. It was a fairly big hit for them. I've always loved their song A New Life. It's from their album of the same name which is a classic album Imo.
One of the few songs I could hear over and over and not get tired of. I enjoy your reviews. It is nice to hear something from the perspective of someone else. To go deep into the archive to the 1960's, two good songs for couples are This Magic Moment by Jay and The Americans, and Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers. These are what we used to call "Belly Rubbin' Music" which is music to slow dance to. Maybe you'll like them. ua-cam.com/video/pKfASw6qoag/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/m0EBs6uRgtw/v-deo.html
Good song , the first word in " can't be wrong " I never understood what he was saying ... and I still don't !!! my brain just doesn't think that first word is correct . lol
I heard the song a million times then one day I googled "what is a rounder"? ohhh I said-rounder. A dissolute person=dissolute dĭs′ə-loo͞t″ adjective Lacking moral restraint; indulging in sensual pleasures or vices. With nerves unstrung; weak. Loosed from restraint; esp., loose in morals and conduct; recklessly abandoned to sensual pleasures; profligate; wanton; lewd; debauched.🙂

I used to blast this song in my barracks, no one complained....ever ;)
"I was born a wrangler & a rambler and I guess I always will". He loves her, but not enough to stay and betray his own yearning, which is to travel.
You guys are so intelligent with the English language. Marshall Tucker Band resonated with what I was going thru back then in history.
🎯🎯🎯
The music is absolutely beautiful. Our day is lacking this.

Great reaction. Don’t understand why this band isn’t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Good song , the first word in " can't be wrong " I never understood what he was saying ... and I still don't !!! my brain just doesn't think that first word is correct . lol
It would be more enjoyable and beneficial for you to have the lyrics printed before you when you hear new songs. Better for us listeners.
You can tell how the language barrier is making it hard for you to get the meaning.
Read the lyrics that may help
not weird, he cant sit still in one place, some people are like that.
Let’s just listen to the song and not study it like the Dead Sea scrolls.
He's a rambler & he foolishly listens to love songs that tell him he shouldn't settle down. After all, a love song can't be wrong.
Translation lost. Painfull.
I heard the song a million times then one day I googled "what is a rounder"? ohhh I said-rounder.
