The main recommendation made by the UK fishing industry to the Government is to expedite further restrictions on EU fishing vessels before the current 2026 deadline. In other words, accelerate the impact of Brexit. There is no expression of regret from the trade associations, rather frustration that the UK government hasn't acted faster. To put things in perspective, fishing represents 0.03% of the British economy.

If they had bothered to read up and research properly before reaching their decisions, the Brexit campaign would not have succeeded, and 90% of people in the UK would now be better off.
