- Absolutely LOVE this huge Beast!!!! Here's run #2 after tuning all 3 diffs. Very pleased with the results. Wanted to hit wide open speeds on raw terrain (along with ramps sends) to truly test the tires, handling, and max heat production with this set-up. She took a brutal roll and several harsh hits quite well. Overall, I'm very impressed with this Large Scale EXB. Huge shout out to ARRMA, Horizon Hobby, M2C Racing, and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin California.
That's a fine tuned setup of the K8 EXB 😍 You really get everything out of the platform 👍👍👍

I can't afford to jump my 8s, every time I do it ends up costing me. Not that I would be able to send it like this even if I tried.

Thanks so much Brother Dennis 😜!!!! Damn I thought I replied already 👀. Must be losing my marbles 😂. Loving this diff set-up. Wasn't sure how it'd work with the Big Blocks, but it feels great Bro 👍. I was spinning out too easily the first bash and could clearly see the inside wheels bleeding power around corners. The bigger shock shafts are hanging tough, but excited to see what the Wizard designs 😱. Mitch is so dialed at improving stuff. Just blows my mind with his ingenuity. Actually just dropped his 8s O-ring pistons in 👌. The rear was really feeling bouncy. The EXB rod ends are definitely far better than the RTR ones. I simply stacked it into that hillside last outing with the ramp shaver 😱. Couldn't believe the arms and links took that. So stoked to see you running Big power with the 08s Bro 👀. It's so FUN having that extra oomph. Hopefully get back out tomorrow. Sun is out and the winds seem to be calming down. Appreciate the comment as always Brother!!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Not bad damage considering the weight... You really do have to be realistic when it comes to these rigs. Even with that said, people are going to hate on it. Not really sure why, it's a cool vehicle, one of the coolest released as of late. I love the more traditional chassis layout too. It's not the most durable large scale out there, but it's definitely still a tough truck.
Love your comment Brother and agree 100% 🤗. Lots of people get frustrated when things break and often want to blame the truck or the brand. Most parts break for a reason. These Big rigs have to be treated with size in mind 😱. I'm still amazed a truck this heavy can move so well and take what it does, within reason of course 👍. No truck is perfect, but ARRMA's done a great job taking feedback and improving upon the platform. I'm also a fan of the open chassis layout and modular design.. I do think though that the 6s line- especially kraton 6s exb and typhon 6s- is one of the toughest rc when m2ced up.
I'm also amazed by the 4s durability.
My oc4s is still getting punished daily and to date I had 0 issues with it. The 4s line is outstanding, that's a fact.
I've beaten the oc8s few days ago with double backflips ,for which in the 8s line you need decent speed and a big block as shown. The shock shafts are straight, car is all m2c but NOT the shafts, I couldnt believe it...

@@bashaz8559 My oc8s is stock and only I bend a shock shaft when I landed hard sideways. I have NO M2C upgrades so fare and chassi is still straight. Then again I run on stock electrics and can do about one back flip. If the ramp is right and steep enough.

I've checked out a bunch of RC you-tube channels & their videos over the years and I'm even a long time subscriber of yours myself! I must say that pretty much every video I've seen kicks ass and quite frankly, most are jaw dropping awesome. Never cease to amaze me! You always deliver the goods AND on a consistent basis. I like how you include a "damage report" being unbiased and transparent with NO B.S. included. Are you the CEO over at Arrma/Horizon yet? haha. Hell, Arrma should at least have you on the payroll by now as the "R&D Top Dog" or some shit.
You provide great tuning info, insight and knowledge. I'm glad and appreciate that you take the time to make these videos and share them with the community. I'll bet it's tough at times. Although it's obvious you enjoy it, so keep it up! I don't mean to sound weird, but I like when you laugh in your vids... cuz that just means you're having fun and THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!

Love it, "pretty brutal" is an understatement for your first run, you truly test the durability of these rigs. I cannot think of anything that heavy being thrown that fast, and far without having a tweak or two in stock parts. I am sold on it's durability, and "Build, Bash, Break, Repeat" should be without being said, or it would be no fun! Great video man!!

Mines just arrived today,thanks for the info,been putting m2c parts on mine and my son’s kraton 6s took them to the bmx track last weekend only damage ripped off rpm bumper,it’s been on there 1 1/2 years so lasted well,he’s only 11 years old but his specialty is bending rear shock towers,went through 4 before I found bad touch breakers uk m2c supplier.

DAMN 👀. That's a gnarly impact Brother 😂. We all hit immovable objects on occasion. The Tekno arms are brutally tough no question 💪. Haven't broken many, but the plastic will twist and bow over time. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Man i couldn't wait to watch this after work and i was not disappointed such an awesome mix of rigs man. The 8s exb is definitely friggen sick brother. Im really glad you emphasized on the new tires. I cracked 2 rims in the o8s and i think i might try a set of those if or when available.cant wait for the new shocks to be available and mitches 7mm shafts. Definitely will be trying them. Id say your fix still did a good job helping the chassis. Its asking alot with that big girl lol🤘 seeing that mammoth pull off double backflips is just insane. It was good seeing the infraction i was just thinking yesterday it would be cool to try that brake set up in a build like a stretched typhon with hoons. That insane front flips with the 6s was just beyond sweet man.how do you like the 500k in rear? Did it feel too loose or good? Definitely appreciate all the tips on the 8s line. Another one to the moon bud! I really like those stock tires on mine but I do get fish tailing on the soft stuff just like my Outcast 8s. I prefer the belted tires like the duratrax lockups x. I'm going to try out the powerhobby XL belted tires on my rigs. Hehe. To the moon!
@Lamar Turner I absolutely love my Duratrax lockup x 24mm belted tires on my X-Maxx trucks. These tires are very similar but more expensive and I believe they are bigger too. If you want, subscribe to my channel. I'll probably try them out next time I take my EXB K8S out since I'm waiting on parts for my Outcast 8s that I'm rebuilding 👍

It's best to wait until you're feeling comfortable and confident with the controls before you get too Crazy. Took me a bit and I still feel challenged and have to focus 😍🍻😎💪👊👊

I've stuck with it mainly because I struggled to learn better editing programs 😝. Studio is no longer supported and is quite glitchy with minimal features. It's simple for my needs though 👍👍😎💪👊👊

The entire area (including the parking lot) is normally underwater after regular rainfall seasons and snow melt from the Sierra's.The lack of rain has left huge areas to really open these rigs up on 😍. Just have to watch out for rocks and huge granite formations hidden in the sand. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks Brother 🤗. Love the handling too. The stock shock oils aren't bad 👍. The rear feels a bit under-dampened or springy. Could be the longer shocks plus the light spring affect from the swaybars 🤔. Not sure if they went with the same RTR 8s rated springs either. Don't know what weight oil I'm going to settle on just yet. Have to do some experimenting. Very tempted to drop some M2C 8s Delrin O-ring style pistons in first 😍. They slow rebound down by design and have a very smooth stroke. I'll probably go with 35-40 weight, but not sure yet. The bigger Big Block tires affect the ride and overall suspension significantly. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thx for your thoughts. Ive been runninng 30w in all my kraton 8s rtr shocks all round and honestly I've not bent or broken any shocks or arms. Other than a bit of chasis slap its been good. I think I might go with 35w on the exb. Is there anything else I need to do to the exb prior to running?

With the 1m in the front diff and 500k in the rear, does that help eliminate the front wheels ballooning? Great content as always man, TIA! #SendIt
Thanks so much Johnny 🤗. Silicone ear plugs in the center diff does the most to control ballooning up front. The 1mil front fluid helps control side to side diff action and ballooning while cornering (the inside off-loaded wheel won't balloon as badly). The 500k rear also just helps ballooning on the opposite unloaded wheel. Hope this helps 🍻

The way your Kratons run looks absolutely awesome Rich! I just got back into RC after giving it up as a young teen burnin' through paper route money 😁. I have a kraton 8S RTR that I want to power up to hit 60mph but maintain lively torque for some bashing. I'm having a hard time understanding the various RC speed calculators out there. Could you please recommend a motor/ESC/gearing combo to achieve that 60mph with some bashability? It sounds like the XLX2/1100kv combo is powerful, but I worry about temps and $500 just seems like a lot for a motor and ESC. Please help!
Thanks Michael 🤗. I also burned through paper route money 😂 and took a long 20+ year hiatus from the hobby. The best motors I've ran are the Hobbystar 56112 840kv with 34/34 gearing and 980kv with 34/39 or 32/39 depending on wheel size, paired with the Hobbywing Max5 ESC. Both motors are excellent. I went back to my 840 in my most recent Kraton EXB 8s video from a few days ago. The Castle 1100kv would probably work great with 30/39 gearing. There's lots of options that will give you plenty of torque and great top speeds with the right gearing. Usually takes some experimenting. Personally, I think Castle is overpriced, but that's just my opinion. Temp wise, these motors are fine geared to 150-160F. Much hotter and it's time to gear down the pinion or run smaller wheels.🍻😎💪👊👊

I like switching between the 6&8s rigs 🤗. Probably prefer the 8s for bigger, rough terrain, but the 6s is a must have too 😍. I haven't tried a bash bar. The way I see it, the stock chassis plus a bash bar probably weighs the same or more than a proper M2C chassis. I've ran wheelie bars on my 6s Kraton's for years, just not on my 8s. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Good gosh that's a tough question Brother 🤔. They're both Mad fun. I always recommend the Kraton 6s for guys that have never had one 😍. So fast, capable, and all around Killer for about every bash situation. The 8s is WAY bigger 👀. Completely different experience. You have to more cautious bashing the 8s no question. Both for the rig and personal safety. I find the fun factor is off the hook with both of them. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
