- Still totally impressed with this BIG Beast. A truck this size just shouldn't handle so well!!! Here's a look at a simple way to dampen your ride and get the most power to the ground with less bounce. Some of the airs were a bit overkill perhaps, but we all have our own bashing style. Huge shout out to ARRMA, Horizon Hobby, M2C Racing, and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

That's was some @wizardry on them vararied terrain, just a pleasure to watch you rip, M2C definitely necessary on that 8s Kraton brother, that 7075 like we suspected is not the same as M2C CNCed Beefcake.... Kinda rough to see some rods bending as well.... 7mm M2Cification will help that, you and I both CAN'T WAIT for that💪😎👍
Loved to see little Talion ripper thrown in. And that Typhon with them 5mm extended just added to the stability in slides... I really need to get a Typhon.... But CAN'T $$ ANY more RC right now😱😂🤣

Just sold my 6s Mojave EXB and got the 8s Kraton EXB, just waiting on a servo. After seeing it in your vids and in person it is so Big (That's what she said) and fast for its size and I had to get it. Bash on Brotha! 🤘😎🤘
That's awesome Rey 😜!!!! The EXB 8s is Huge compared to the K6s 👀. Definitely a different experience than the Mojave too. It's absolutely Killer on bigger, rough terrain 👊. Just have to be a bit careful. These rigs take longer to slow down once they get moving. You don't want to hit anything solid or yourself for that matter 😱🤣🤣😎💪👊👊

Great video as usual, Rich.. That new Kraton 8S EXB is indeed, a tough truck. Too bad that chassis is still not up to part. But I am at least happy, Mitch Looper has a better alternative. I am also looking forward to those new 7mm shock shafts you mentioned. I wish Mitch would make them 8mm instead, but will see how those 7mm hold up? I have the truck, but I still haven't run it. Waiting on the Rocket 56122 motor to come in.

Seriously the m2c/arrma test drivers need to come to Europe on a tour or something this would be awesome to see live,and inspiring for the kids to see.I remember seeing the bones brigade toured the uk in the 80’s to see them live and not on video was amazing.

@@sMoKeN904 that's a tough question to answer Bro. I'm happy with both the LSD and simpler, traditional diffs when probably shimmed. The M2C chassis, towers, braces....etc...are definitely stronger than the EXB ones. Gotta go with whatever makes sense for your needs and bashing style. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Alot of people swear by castle id like to get one just for bashing i feel I'd be better off with the HW I do plan on getting a limitless after I get my exb all set up then I'll prolly get a castle setup an still end up getting a tp motor xD dunno I'm sure I'll figure it out

Hay Rich, awesome video again! I have a question for you. I have bent 2 hot racing motor mount plates on my arrma 3s. What's your opinion on something like the gpm aluminium housing and plate together? If you get a chance let me know. Thanks bro. I'm working my way up to your level. Thanks so much Jeremy 🤗. I haven't tried the GPM mount and housing to really give an opinion 🤔. Some of their parts do ok, and some don't. They make practically every aluminum option you can imagine, but have a mixed reputation for quality. I know they don't use higher grade 7075 aluminum. Take a look at the M2C Racing motor mount and brace system. I tested it with my Big Rock V3 and it's done phenomenal 💪. It takes the torque off the slipper housing by bracing and supporting the mount and strain of the motor weight. Also helps better support the chassis too. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Gotta say brother, your videos and trucks are an inspiration and I've been working on my Kraton V4 for about a year now to build it as strong as possible.
Made a video on my channel showing a modification I came up with where I made my EXB front bumper fit my M2C hinge pin supports. If you could check it out I'd really appreciate your thoughts and comments. Gonna take it for a bash on the weekend and see how it holds up. Fingers crossed lol.

Thanks Ernie 🤗. There's lots of good 6s packs out there. I've stuck mostly with Hobbystar 6s 4800-5000mah single 50-100c hardpacks from RCJuice. They'll solder on the connector of your choice if you simply request one in the purchase comments. I've also had great luck with Zee and Powerhobby. I run an M2C chassis and put yoga mat in my battery trays. Definitely helps protect my packs from harsher impacts. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks Brother 🤗. I love both motors. I've liked 34/34 gearing with my 840kv and 32/39 with my 980kv. The 980 isn't as fierce as the 840 on the bottom end, but the 980kv feels smoother overall with better top end. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I myself am gonna be working on a Kraton 6S EXB Roller and just trying to find the best parts to put on it. Looking like the M2C Racing chassis is the best and hope to find out more parts as well but i do wanna keep the great look this Kraton EXB has. Do you know , if i paint it. would it effect anything? like weight or anything. I know that may sound stupid but i really love the logo on the chassis. I guess , if ya gonna bash it, then it want really matter.
Thanks my friend 🤗. Kev is a good guy 🍻 You could paint an M2C chassis, just don't expect the bottom area to hold the color it's look once you start bashing. The raw aluminum is easy on the eyes too 😍. The paint wouldn't add any significant weight though. 😎💪👊👊

Is the kraton the same size as the xmaxx
I'm curious if you think maybe going 2mill in the front and a million and a half in the rear to compensate more for the tire size and ballooning.
I've tried 1 mil rear before but didn't like the handling. 2 mil front might help inside wheel ballooning during turns, but won't do much in a straight line on hard throttle. Going full Silicone ear plug center will help the fronts more 👍. These Big Block tires have far more rubber and tread than the standard Copperhead 2's. I think they're going to balloon either way. They flip like Crazy though 😂🍻😎💪👊👊

Congrats on your new rig Brother 😱. Depending on how hard you bash, the best upgrade is really the M2C 8s chassis 💪. Here's another vid going over some EXB 8s hop ups. Mitch finally just released the beefier hardened driveshafts "outdrives" and should be releasing the 7mm shock shaft kits soon. It's totally fine to upgrade as you go, as needed. These trucks are pretty durable if you don't spike them into the ground or hit solid objects 😝🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks my friend 🤗. Might try 28/47 gearing and go from there. You might be able to gear taller depending on temps, but I ran 30/47 with my 1100 with my RTR 8s and it was quite fast with the smaller stock wheels 🍻😎💪👊👊

Yes indeed Daniel 👍. I did crack the lower ring of one I showed in my previous video, but pretty certain it was from a major flail when I shaved the ramp my first harsh bash 😱. So far they're holding up way better than the smaller RTR 8s ends. 😎💪👊👊

Are you able to get that typhon with standard sized tires to backflip? Of course you have the truggyfyd conversion plus m2c wider hex installed. I’m just wondering if that’s actually flipping with standard sized wheels?

@@mikeyd4mayorshow723 you can flip with buggy wheels with the right jump and gearing 👍. Definitely takes a good amount of throttle and wheelspin. These Badland MX buggy tires have a decent amount of rubber with the lugs. I'm running a Hobbywing Max8 2200 combo with an 18T pinion I think on max punch 5. Definitely much harder to get around then a fully Truggified setup with say MX28's or Trencher 2.8s, but it's still possible and Mad fun rippin around buggy style. 😎💪👊👊

I'm running Zee 7200mah 80c 4s hardpacks. So far they've done excellent. Hobbystar also makes some nice higher capacity, higher C rated packs. Their sold by RCJuice. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thanks Casey 👊. I'm not sure what's a good weight for the XMaxx pistons/shocks, but around 35-40 weight is good for the Kraton 8s. Too heavy just adds stress to the arms and suspension components. 😎💪👊👊

@@BEASTMODERC you can try wrapping a few winds of Teflon plumber's tape on the threads. The best fix I know of is the M2C 8s pillow ball nuts. They grab the hub and don't come loose. 👍

Congrats on you K6s EXB 😍. The BLX185 is a good 150amp ESC. Any motor 4074 size motor between around 1500-2000kv should perform great with the right gearing. The BLX 2050kv motor actually runs great on a 16T pinion in the Kraton. You could probably get away pairing the BLX185 with a higher torque 4082 or 4092 size as well with matching connectors 🤔. I haven't tried the newer Spectrum 2050kv 6s motors, but I've heard they're good too 👍🍻😎💪👊👊

I'm very happy with my setup 🤗. Running a Hobbystar 56112 980kv motor and Max5 ESC with 32/39 gearing. Any higher torque 56 series motor between 800-1100kv can work very well with the right gearing. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I would carry extra shock rod ends and a spare HD wingmount 👍. Running wingless is asking for a bent shock tower and possibly cracked rear bullhead. The ARRMA Nero HD shock rod ends plus 6.8mm steel pivot balls are a great upgrade. 😎💪👊👊

@@triciaflanagan5668 dang 👀. That's a lot of gears. I like to replace the stock planetary shims with wider Mugen Seiki E0206 ones. I also run 2-3 Tekno #1222 bearing shims on the crown gear side bearing front and rear. I'd take a close look at the diff case, diff cup, and outdrive if it's happening on the same side 🤔. You should have stock shims on each outdrive. That became standard with the V4-5 models. Try not to land on hard throttle. Those gears will crack on occasion, but it's not normal to break that many. 🍻
