- Note: FREEZES WELL! Just reheat it in the oven for about 10-15 mins at 300F to retain the crispiness.
This is a recipe for Vegan Fried Fish. I ENJOY and look forward to eating Fried Pan Trout once every week or two. So, I have been on the lookout for a vegan substitute for this favorite dish! Thanks to a vegan cooking tip from Serena (one of my goddaughters) and the seasonings of Marie from the Ghetto Vegans channel, I discovered this fried fish alternative. Note: Since Chickpeas/Garbanzo Beans are legumes and naturally "gluten-free," they make a great flour substitute for those who are sensitive to regular wheat-based flour.
The purpose of this video is to encourage others to cook at home more, by slowly walking through the recipe step-by-step and sharing any substitutes, tips, and/or ideas that can help along the way. We learn together!
*I like to double this entire recipe, for more FISH!! 😊

Idk how u came up with this or found this however 🙄 whoever founded this recipe is Extremely Creative and we “not so old vegans” thank u 🙏 for sharing this recipe!! 😊. Very impressive 😅
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback and I'm glad that you enjoyed the recipe!
Wow factor! Wonder if it works in an air fryer?
I'm not so sure about the air fryer. Let's not push our luck. LOL!
Why don't you add ground nori leaves to your spice mix? Or, even better, soak the eggplant slices in a mixture of nori leaf powder and soy sauce for 20 minutes? Then continue with your recipe. You'll see, it really tastes like fish 😋
Hmmm... I've never heard of nori leaves. I would definitely consider giving it a try the next time I make it. Tasting more like fish is DEFINITELY a good thing. 😊 So, thanks for sharing! Btw, how much do you suggest that I add to my spice mix?
@@dailyimprovement I would add about ½ teaspoon of the ground nori leaves 😋
@@TinaTina-no8po Thank you! I really appreciate the tip and hope that others do too! 😊
I was thinking the same thing .
Yes the Nori leaves is great I made walnut tuna and it taste just like tuna from the nori
I would have loved to see you break it open
I'm sorry I didn't even think to do that. But I think that, in most cases, those who try the recipe will find the taste and crunch to be delicious!
Hello love your way of cooking , but to much season for me but I have used Like 1/8 to 1/2 teaspoons of season and no hot 🔥 sauce for me I used old bay and Seaweed sprinkles for fish flavor and gumbo season same as above , I am not on a Chanel but I have a crochet Page any way never the less I liked you creative cooking by fell free to chat have a great week by
Thanks for sharing! I try not to use too much salt in my cooking, but I will definitely use other seasonings liberally. *smile*
But did it taste like fish? She didn't say it taste like fish.
Well, as we all know, taste is pretty subjective. Everybody doesn't like the same things. But this recipe serves as a great fried fish substitute for me, especially when I add my preferred condiments with it. And there are many others who seem to enjoy this recipe as well. In my opinion, there are actually very few meat substitutes that tastes exactly like the "real thing." However, they serve a great purpose when trying to minimize or avoid eating meat and many are quite delicious and enjoyable. Thank you so much for your question. 😊
If it's fish it's not vegan, if it's vegan it's not fish.
It says a lot about vegan ignorance and hypocrisy that in spite of telling us that meat and fish are bad, vegans so crave meat and fish that they are constantly trying to mimic the texture, taste and appearence of meat and fish. ---- If you want to eat something like meat and fish, eat meat and fish.
Thank you for that. I am actually not vegan. I even eat meat and fish sometimes. However, I do enjoy vegan foods and I enjoy the creativity that vegan recipes can have. Life is all about choices. We can eat meat and fish or we can avoid eating meat and fish and just flavor food in the way that we choose. Thank you for watching! 😊
Um no. Some people don’t eat meat because of animal cruelty and yes I do believe meat is bad especially since some meats are being cloned. I didn’t stop eating fish because of the taste I love the taste but I gained knowledge. “If you want to eat something like meat and fish, eat meat and fish” now this says a lot about a meat eater ignorance. Thank you so much for this video @dailyimprovement I will be trying this 😊
@@Veggielife922 Thank you SO much for your comment and I'm glad that you are planning to give this recipe a try! And you are right to mention that there are various reasons why people don't eat meat. As I mentioned before, I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I chose to eat less meat, due to health reasons. My diet is primarily Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) and it has helped turn things around for my health. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
This is just fried eggplant😂😂😂😂😂 I make this all the time. vegan fish is made with hearts of palm
Thanks for sharing! I would imagine that someone may say that that would just be fried hearts of palm;, but, I think as long as we enjoy it as a fish substitute it's all good!
